How was a family, starting from nothing, able to build an economic empire in such a short time? And how could this empire collapse so quickly and be forgotten in the folds of History?
Through its reversals of fortune, the Stucky saga revives in each of us the flavor and strength of family epics and echoes several contemporary myths: that of the self-made man, of the success story, that of greatness and the decadence, the fall of the powerful.

Magnifique documentaire. Cette épopée démontre bien que malheureusement l'honnêteté et l'intégrité ne paie pas!
d'accord, mais une alliance avec le fascisme, ne l'oublions pas. Sinon, oui, un grand humanisme, une vraie conscience, un immense respect pour la classe ouvrière, à l'aube de cette réussite industrielle, familiale, extraordinaire, et en cela elle est respectable....

Bonjour et merci. Je ne connaissais pas cette histoire, familiale, sociale, sociétale, éloquente, tragique, et pleine d'enseignement. Un humanisme rare et remarquable, au fur et à mesure de son élaboration, puis une alliance avec le mal. En épilogue, une chute aussi triste que dramatique... Une grosse faute d'orthographe dans le titre, on a dû vous l'écrire, çà et là... Merci en tous cas pour ce pan de l'Histoire italienne, qui traverse bien des époques, bien des épreuves, et nous donne à réfléchir, à comprendre, pour se souvenir. Je like et je suis abonnée...
Mais quel reportage merveilleux ! Bravo et MERCI!❤❤❤

Interessante, figure eccellenti, intelligenti, abili industriali. Il loro mulino mi richiamava Londra ogni volta che sbucavo da una calle che immetteva alla riva. Grandi imprenditori fermati da una "Storia" cieca.

Excellentissime histoire réelle et Véridique... Une question n'y a t'il vraiment aucun descendant ? Cousins ect... Quelqu'un qui porte encore ce prestigieux nom aujourd'hui ? Car à un moment dans la vidéo, on voit que Giancarlo le fils fait des vidéos " amusantes"de petits cousins... Et ses sœurs n'ont elles pas fait de beaux mariages et eu des enfants..? C'est un peu ce que je regrette dans ce document aire c'est qu'on ne parle pas des sœurs et de leur rôles respectifs... Mais très bien. Gracié ❤

An exemplary story of personal overcoming of a poor and hard-working immigrant who becomes rich. His dedicated, ambitious and talented son expands his fortune. But the grandson, without much business skills, is unable to overcome the economic problems created by the First World War, ends up being harmed by fascism and sees the family empire sink before the Second World War. However, and this needs to be said here, there is nothing unworthy about being swallowed by economic adversities. But it is very unworthy to get rich dishonestly with the help of an authoritarian and murderous regime.

In Italia non si perdona il successo:crea troppe invidie.
This example shows one more time how stupid people are, how greedy they are and corrupt. They don't know their best. They don't understand that one has to learn and learn, then one can ask for more or a change. The people have forgotten their misery. quickly. I understand that not everybody had a wonderful life but there was a base with Stucky. It could be developed even further. But no, it was easier to destroy everything and what? Now somebody could run with a flag and shout all people are equal, yes? But to be equal you must make an effort and learn something. And the powers that shape our life know very well how to play "the people". The documentary does not show all the details I guess but the Stucky were professionals that knew how to do things, they used their intelligence and knowledge to build their wealth, they didn't get it on a silver plate. Later came il Duce and corrupt politicians, and that was more appreciated, yes? This is such an old record and people still don't see it. It is always our fault... not others.
D'ora in poi quando sentirò menzionare la coppa volpi alla mostra del cinema di Venezia mi si alzerà la scimmia! E comunque tanti di coloro che hanno firmato la condanna a morte di questa famiglia sono finiti come è giusto sia.
La Coppa Volpi 1934 fu vinta da Katherine Hepburn per Piccole donne/Little Women, la protagonista di Accadde una notte era Claudette Colbert

Je trouve que le mot "décadence" n'est pas approprié. Le dernier descendant ne fait rien de reprochable, plutôt l'inverse même ! Il tombe parce que l'état n'est pas reconnaissant. J'emploierai le mot "chute" !
