    Hi, I also had this happen almost every day. I stopped getting any horses for about 20yrs. . When got married , my husband heard me talking to my sister about missing them; that years Christmas was a real surprise when there was 100 ponies under the tree!!! This was in 1986, it was amazing!!! Since then he made sure I got all the SR's, Breyerfest ect. I love him so much, not just for horses, but he's this way with every thing . Love him so much!!!

    I really want to start customizing, do you have any recommendations for videos on techniques, supplies for customizing , or places to get models for cheap. I know that's hard to find but I want some cheap models to start out on. :]]

    How can I learn to smooth the paint in white markings??? I'm so eager to learn!! Thank you for the video!!!

    • @douglasgriffiths3534
      @douglasgriffiths3534 3 роки тому +2

      Smooth paint in white markings requires very thin paint, and many layers, which are allowed to dry fully. Seal between layers. That's my experience, and it works well for me. (Jan Griffiths).

    When I was in elementary school I had gotten my first Breyer and I took it with me on road-trips, vacations, you name it, that horse was there with me. I customized it (for some reason) and it obviously didn’t turn out because I was using dollar tree acrylics and sealant and I was so upset with it that I hid it in a bush outside of my house and forgot about it. We moved and I hope the new owners found it and were horrified. Gosh it was so scary looking.

    I am skipping the "paint Breyers first and light mods" phases.... why? because I am STOOPID. I am looking at what I plan to do and I am SCARED POOLESS.... BUT! I am making a rich sorrel chestnut Hanoverian gelding with a badger face using a Breyer HEAVILY DAMAGED Halla model with half missing ears and TERRIBLY worn facial detail... imma name him Moxxie. I like the pose, so it won't be super heavy drastic customizing, but for the first time, Mmmmm imma have to take it slow and steady.
