Journey into the Book of Galatians.

Tonight we launched our Journey by the Spirit into the book of Galatians with this scripture:
Galatians 5:1 It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
As we continued, the Spirit kept emphasizing Freedom from performance, human effort, self-righteousness, eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil, the Lie of the false self, and many others.
It is said, that the book of Galatians is the first of Paul's letters written to the Church therefore, in light of that it is essential to see what the Spirit emphasized in this letter. It is amazing how little the modern-day Church teaches from this book, there may be many reasons but this letter is sure to expose self-righteousness and human effort, that attempts to nullify what Christ did at the Cross, for if righteousness could be attained through the Law - Christ died for nothing. True Christianity is not our attempt to "be like God" but a continual revelation that we are "his workmanship" created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. He is our righteousness, Holiness, redemption, and sanctification!!
