      Low key true. I play sax and sometimes when i practice i just play around with the fingers and keys. They feel satisfying when they go down

    This makes me realize how much I wanna have a chance to play all the different saxophones. I've only played alto and tenor and possibly might have a chance to bari soon but I really wanna just try out soprano and bass.

      I've gotten to fully play alto tenor and bari (i play tenor the most) but I've only tried a soprano once and I've HELD a bass, not played. Thinking about purchasing my own bari or bass sometime.

    Hurrah! What a wonderful performance! Dear performers! I congratulate and wish you all the best to perform well in more and more pieces like this. When all the six of you simultaneously play it sounds like playing dual melody with addition of four more keys on foot-pumped harmonium (which is otherwise known as reed organ) or accordion with straddla bass system. But when one of play and others keep silence at some parts voice of each and every individual type of saxophone is clearly understandable.

    OMG Moanin' Frogs, where's the growl? I watched this expecting the same pure heart-pounding guttural emotion that was given in your last video of this song, except properly recorded without the audience screaming on the best parts. Its very beautiful I just feel as though some verses weren't expressed as much as they could've been.

      @nyve3014 7 років тому +7

      Brok Windsor yeah no. It's physically impossible to play Bass without a neckstrap. They weigh around 40 pounds. Essentially you would either be using the keys as a grip which takes away functionality or holding the entire horn up by your thumb which isn't possible.

    • @ryancarter2959
      @ryancarter2959 7 років тому +2

      Brok Windsor he does. it's a harness under his shirt. you have to have wicked thumb muscles to go no strap with a bari. the lightest bari with a low A is gonna be at least 10-15 pounds. it's there. like others said the hook goes through the shirt in the space between buttons

  • @jaywhizzleslamdizzle1329

    • @dylansheets4886

      Bari's have more of a harness, neckstraps are more for lighter saxophones like Alto's, Soprano's, and Tenors

  • @sragland314

    What are your names? Also, Tenor 1, that was beautiful! Your sound is amazing! Alto, your solo is epic to listen to. Very energetic and makes me almost want to get out of the comments section and do my homework due in a few hours (that is hard to do)! But Bari and Bass will always be my favorite (I play Bari Sax and Bass Clarinet). The solid foundation that can rock out with the simplest notes while everyone else goes nuts learning crazy fingerings. Soprano, you are a perfect volume for group playing. Always heard as a constant beautiful sound and yet never louder than the melody. You guys have truly mastered your instruments.
