It’s so hard to knock them for the money.. and I drive my car a lot.. so normal people may not see the type of wear I am. The heated seat kits were on sale a few years ago for like $49.. was impossible to pass up
Many seats have that same issue when sliding on that bolster getting in and out. I know the OEM seats do and people put material on that metal so it doesn't do exactly that. Besides that, they've held up well over 10k miles.
I got the same seats and they are holding ok, I have not put that many miles in them. I was able to retain the factory seat tracks, but I am only 5’7”. Tall guys will not fit, I guess. Good vids, take care.
See if you can put a rubber molding on the edge of that metal edge trying to cut through in addition to padding. That hard edge will if you dont put a molding on the metal edge eventually cut through the additional foam and then the leather, leather. Just my experience years back with stock c5 seat solution , Good luck
Awesome review. I had a few questions. We're you able to take the upholstery off the seats to fix the bolster padding? Im planning or ordering similar seats in suede and was planning to do heated seats as well.
I would say that they are holding up well when considering the mileage and the price. BUT if you are looking for a “permanent” solution.. these may be a replace them deal every 20k miles or so.. I will buy them again when it’s time if that makes my feelings more clear.
@@privateryan555 I think that’s the way they are marketed. But I had to do a lot of measuring and cross referencing to make sure they fit in the Vette due to the cabin shape
Nothing better than the original seat ... I can't believe people they switch from heavy duty automatic seat to cheap manually seat and even too big ....I upgrade my leather and foam with a beautiful custom color and all done ..Corvette seat they stay more than 20 years ...
Take both seats apart and put the left parts on the driver’s side and that seat on the left that not hardly being used there interchangeable
Thanks on the seat adjuster. I will drill a hole both sides and install a washer and cotter pin to prevent said failure.
That's good to know as I have the same seats. Will have to keep an eye on that bolster and watch for your heated seats setup.

Yeah, I’m at 12,000 miles on them today and they haven’t failed any worse..
Even with the failures in the video.. I still feel that these were a good value! I would buy them again.. I probably will..
I should have also put in the video that 1.5 years in this set of seats and I’m still not dead. #1 concern on the forums... hahah
Most people think quality only comes from a high price tag...with that logic a lambos would be the most reliable vehicle on the road
It ain't the mileage. It's the usage. Apparently these things ain't holding up

Good call!
Was thinking about getting these seats, or Corbeau Evolution X seats
If you are on a budget… do these! If you have money to burn go for the Corbeau!
I sure don’t have the money to burn. Might get the Corbeau seat frames if I do though

Yeah the covers come off by removing the hog rings
could you swap seats... passanger to driver?? then bad bolster is inside??
That’s what you have to do
What bracket do you have
Was a cheap one off eBay,
Where did you get the shifter boot and E-brake boot?
Nice video, I like the steering wheel .
Looking to replace my original seats with the same. Recommendations?

@@thedriverscorner Thanks for the clear feelings. I'm sure they will hold up for me.
How lower does it sit than factory seats
I didn’t notice much. Perhaps 1/2-1”
@@thedriverscorner think theses would be a universal fit into any car?
