I came to this video because I was looking for Michael Franti's contact information. I wanted to write him a fan letter. The rabbit hole led me to this video. There is a baby on the way. I lost my job before Christmas. Whenever I feel afraid of the future I look for inspiration from Michael Franti.

Just when i think i can't like this guy anymore than i do now there is something else again that makes me fall in love with his music and himself all over again. They story about his son having a kidney disease really strikes home to my heart as i recently have been fighting side by side with my brother who suffers from liver and kidney failure so i can relate to Michael Franti when he states that its is a time to unify as one and come together instead of letting hardships tear you apart. Thank you for that lovely performance i am one of your biggest fans!

I hate myself for this not really just kidding but Michael is my absolute favorite and I give this a thumbs down. I felt that Michael rushed it and it could have been way more emotional, heartfelt, and expressive, but that's just my opinion...if you can set me straight on this I would really appreciate it cuz again Michael is my absolute favorite and of course I love the Dalai Lama
