That thing is a handy bit of kit. massive help to reduce bushfire fuel and makes the place look great! You are right to be wary of it though. As others have said already, skirts to deflect some debris at least, kill switch on the vehicle and never be behind it.... They are lethal
The idea of a flail mower is to go over the rough terrain that you can’t take a mower over but they are very dangerous , I’d recommend putting rubber skirts around it and a kill switch in the vehicle so that you can turn it off before getting out of the vehicle as one or more flails can break off or flick something out that will do more damage to you or your vehicle or even someone standing 10 meters away, they are a good machine but have to be handled very carefully , really enjoy watching both of you preparing to build or out fishing all the best from Tassie
Unfortunately hammers are cast and break pretty easy in rocky country. I changed my flail mower to y blades slashing similar country to yours which last longer and give a better finish. Have fun with the new toy 👍
Aw new mowers are always fun. Next is a brush hog. You will have that entire place manicured in no time. Buy ya a couple goats. They mow for free give milk and are pretty good on the barbie if done right.😂 plus they keep snakes away pretty good.
Hi ,Not a bad piece of equipment, but like a slasher no substitute for walking the area wearing footwear and clothing protecting against snakes clearing rocks, timber and identifying concealed stumps would save potential damage to the hammers and drive shaft etc then the next time the slashing would quicker & safer. A towbar on the front of camy would make manoeuvres easier, if were possible to protect camy from flying rocks etc.Well done with mower.
usually when you buy a new property you would burn the grass off and either pick up the rocks to dump or disc/rotary hoe the ground , or have it laser lvled, this makes future mowing, grazing, etc easier , i would say you got the wrong tool for the job with this one , could of got a petrol slasher to tow behind atv`s . and get a ride on or skid steer mower for around the house and keep a few acres nice and short
Love how you two compliment one another, never seems to get into arguments.

Nice mower. Thats awsom
Flail mower, safest way to knock down brush when there might be something that could be hit and thrown.

If you get mohair goats you can sell the fleece too, very expensive stuff to buy!
Please don’t put any straps over the tow ball like that again please, I had to close my eyes that is very dangerous, love your show and content 👍😁
Absolutely. Please buy a couple of shackles and don’t hook onto the tow ball.
You need a whipper snipper now to clean the fence lines
Awsome 🤘
Must be nice to be rescued by a very nicely built blonde rescuer!..

Glad you kept away from the rock thrower Brooke, looked deadly. I’m with Denis KFC with can money 😀 So whats next?
I would put an emergency stop in the cab . For safety
👍
Goats will keep your land mowed, they can drink from the dams. You'll have to protect your fruit trees from them until they are larger.
Great job Dennis, hope you get some sexy time with your Mermaid after dinner matey !
you have to mow the rocks other wise they will grow and hit next time.
Brooke was right .
Keep it high on first cut
So ripped off on the can recycling. You had roughly 6428 cans at that weight. That would of been $642
Yep you are right … 10 cents a can ! they ripped you guys off !
