My 16 year old daughter happen to be in the room when I was watching this. Specifically the part where you were saying to find out what you like to do and make that your passion /profession. She said “he’s just like you. He loves cars and he obviously loves what he does.” She knows my passion is my career. It opened up an opportunity to have one of those life talks with her about chasing passion and then never feeling like you ever have to work a day in your life. Good moment with a typical teenager who is basically quiet and doesn’t say much. Thanks.
Great life advice matt ... live life while you can not when your body and mind can't. People are so set on preparing for 40 years from now and not worrying about what they are missing today
The father of my friend was the owner and founder of Koch Chemie, their headquarters is just a few kilometers from me. In germany they supply many car washes, but their detailing products are great too!
Golden era Honda therapy. I recommend getting a spare set of front fender liners to heat and mold. I just replaced my ITR front fender liners yesterday. Previous owners had it slammed and it rubbed through the plastic in the upper area. One side is discontinued so used only now. I was missing a lot of OEM clips and hardware too and I got those also. Feels good to reverse all the mods and damage owners did.
QS adds hydrophobicity QF is everything as QS only without silicone (bodyshop safe) and does not affect hydrophobicity if you have a coating or something
There is something therapeutic about the wash and talks. Matt i think you're hilarious, love the humor and honestly you have and bring to life. Keep it up!!
Carbon fiber hoods (and maybe other parts) are finished with a "gel coat" they are supposed to be sanded and painted by the customer or just leave them like that for racing applications. I have seen them with proper clear coat and looks a lot better (here in Chile), I presume you can do that over there with a lot better results.
Matt, since you’re going all out on a custom funnel, you should get them made that actually screws into your mtm foam cannon and another one for your spray bottles. Like the Motivx oil funnels that specifically screws into engine oil caps. They don’t move around and liquid flows down much faster.
I enjoy these wash and talks from you because it's "unscripted Matt". Shoots from the hip, says what comes to mind, and if some folks get their feelings hurt, well tough, that's their problem. Besides, watching you wash a car inspires me to head to the garage and wash my truck. Keep them coming, you are one-of-a-kind, sir.
I started following you from a random wash & talk and have been enjoying every single episode ever since, i am learning something from youre wisdom and relaxing from the therapeutic washing
What do you use for ratios? I was told by TRC 4 oz in the IK9. Says 20 ml in the cannon whereas Matt used the typical 150. Also bucket? Just bought some and cant wait to try it... ty

Have you gotten your hands on Bilt Hamber yet? Been playing with their Foam, Auto Wash, Wheel Cleaner, and Surfex HD. Heads and shoulders better than everything I've ever used. I hope you decide to vet them and carry their line. Motorplast is legit. Used it once about 6 weeks ago on my daily driver and my engine bay still looks great. All areas look brand new without being super shiny. Hyper Dressing can't compete at all except for pricing. Thanks for the video!

A good friend of mine told me that I complained too much in my career. Sine then I’ve become a much easier person to work with. There was a time when I would have moaned and complained just like Matt. Now I see how bad I was. That being said, Matt’s videos have really led me to enjoy car washing. It’s actually a fun chore.
Motorplast is my favourite product from Koch chemie at the moment.. hss good protective properties too, not just a dressing! the polishes are excellent too!
The reason people recommend only meeting company match on 401k is because 401ks have more fees associated with them than IRAs. So, 401k only really shines when your company is matching. Beyond that you max out your IRA to enjoy the lower fees and once you've maxed that out THEN you go back and contribute over the match on your 401k. So yeah, go ahead and max out your 401k but not until you've maxed out an IRA first. ① 401k up to match ② Max out IRA ③ Max out 401k
1. Max out your 401(k). Done. 401(k)s are dirt cheap unless you have some crappy plan. Not many people are maxing any of this out that aren't phased out.
Don’t forget about the HSA! Pretax money to invest and no tax on the payout, best of both worlds regarding taxes. Plus You can spend the money on any unexpected health bills so it acts as a great emergency fund.
Yes exactly! That’s why I prefer having the rear mud guards on my Integra since the rear bumper is so much higher than the sides. It makes the wheel arch appear to extend farther down.
It’s too bad there wasn’t an OEM lip kit available like the 98-01 Integras had. It had rear bumper side extensions that would visually serve the same purpose as the mud guards, but looked way nicer. Of course with them on the mud guards can’t be used at all. Those things are pretty much unobtanium at this point.
I think the general advice is to contribute enough to your 401k to get your employer's full match, then work on filling your IRA contribution, THEN you work on maxing out the 401k. Maybe people are just wording this wrong. It takes a while to get to a place where you can put away ~$26K of your income a year.
That make very little sense to me. Just max out your 401(k). Every person I've ever met that nickel and dimes their investments also try and time and make really bad decisions. Keeping it simple is of great value.
@@ObsessedGarage Totally with you on keeping it simple. The only reason someone might want to do what I said is if the funds offered under their 401k suck. That was true of my last job. Your videos have some non-car related gold in them. Keeps things authentic I think. Keep it up!
Agree, the millisecond you separate from service or have the opportunity to roll-over and gain infinite choice inside and IRA is always preferred. That is assuming the person doesn't do a bunch of stupid stuff.
The 2000 Acura Integra and the prelude but I don’t know which model comes with a 1 inch bore brake master cylinder whereas the master cylinder that you have currently are smaller.
