Congratulations on your purchase of a Haggis pinball. I purchased #37 of 200 of thier first machine - Celts, and I love it. I'm actually in a very enviable position as I live only 20 minutes away from thier factory. Damien is a terrific guy who is very hands on with any problems or questions you may have. Enjoy your Fathom pinball - it looks & sounds fantastic. Cheers from Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺
I have never had anyone walk into the room without noticing how stunning the game really is. Are you talking about the new sounds? This house loves prefers the revisited sound package. Although we would love Marty to release an updated code where things like telling you to hit a shot after you drain is just like, "Yeah, yeah we know"...lol.
Congratulations on getting a Haggis Fathom it looks Fantastic. We had Haggis support our first ever Pinball Event here in Tasmania and it has a Hit with everyone that came to TazPin. Just got my one delivered today and looking forward to setting it up soon. the new code looks and sound Awesome . Outstanding build from a great crew from down under, Cheers
Hello, I got my Mermaid a few months ago, it's truly a beautiful pin, can't believe how nice it looks and plays. It's my first early SS pin and can't believe I waited so long to get one.
I might be a Vpin Guy at heart due to the practicality of many tables to choose from in one machine but boy doesn`t this look like a work of art ...... splendid
This is a great idea. Look for something at the 30-day mark so we can give it a real chance to see what we think. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on that one
Played this game at Texas pinball festival and it is stunning. The apron LCDs are genius idea as well. I really wish Pulp Fiction would have added LCDs in the apron as well. Everything you said about the game at the end is spot-on simply amazing.
Thank you,. The apron screens are truly player screens. I rarely see any back box animations while I am playing. I will watch someone else play and then go "oh that's cool" and wish I could see them while playing, but these apron screens are bold and colorful. The colors let you know you are in a different mode, and during a mermaid battle the life bars are big enough to be kept up to date with a slight glance.
That was a pretty machine. Thank you for making this video. If you do another one, please film the details of the playfield and backglass. Is it real backglass like in the old days?
I gotta hand it to that Haggis guy. He makes some nice looking machines. I'm curious, is the playfield covered by a thin clear sheet like it was on Celts?
When we order ours we had playfield options, we went with their top of the line and it is holding up perfectly. If I am correct, this playfield is the only option for Centaur.
The projector appears to need to go into cool down mode so updated code might help? We have had multiple requests to do a Revisited revisit so we are planning one this fall. Right now I am finishing final location videos for our pinball trip around Lake Michigan.
Stunningly beautiful machine. I'm glad the callouts are from an Aussie - a fun reminder of where these come from, and I suspect they have mermaids down under like anywhere else. It is a bit floaty, but that's in keeping with the machine this is based off of. Its definitely slow which may turn off people more accustomed to the faster modern style games.
Yes. Before you start the game you can hit the left flipper to choose the Classic Fathom game play rules and sounds or hit the right flipper and play the Revisited code and sound package. It truly is like getting two games for one price. in our upcoming league play we are hosting a Fathom tournament which will have players needing to play both versions to qualify for the finals.
Thank you. You are very lucky. We sure wish we lived closer and my wife would of been heavily encouraged to participate in WOW due to the fact that if they get 100 women to sign up they are giving away a pinball machine. Wow!
Wow, this thing looks fantastic. I'd miss the original electro-voice though. It's amazing that they sank so much into this table, wonder if they made their money back on it yet
Game play no, but they would benefit from an update or two. There are long delays between games when in multiplayer, and some of the voice call outs after draining are confusing at best. @@charlesthomas6987
Awesome machine. There are two pre-owned machines for sale close to me and I've been pondering adding this to my collection. Such a great looking machine.
We love ours. I have a buddy however who is having a love-hate relationship with his. If you go to get one, and I would. Make sure you look it over play single and multiplayer games. From The limited sample I have exposure to it appears most are great but the ones that are struggling are struggling.
@@TiltTrek, great counsel and thank you. If you see this, do you care to comment on the weight? Looks like nothing significant in the backbox but a full computer underneath the playfield.
@@ScottParisi the weight is classic, it reminds me of moving an older gottlieb or Bally/Williams game which fits the style. The back box is heavy due to there being an extra piece of wood in there that you move to access the lock down cams, and like every bit of this game, the really well built cams are definitely heavier than the two bolts or latch you might have with a modern game.
@@TiltTrek, thank you! Really appreciate the details. I have a tight staircase into the basement. Six steps down, then 180° turn then another six steps. The turn landing is only 34' wide and requires true muscle to make the turn.
It's a great question. We have zero issues getting anywhere on the playfield, but we have needed to adjust the button gap to keep the upper flipper working and we have been discussing adjusting the springs to make the flipper return snappier.
It sure is, and we keep appreciating the details. For example the under cabinet lights do a different light show in multiball. It really adds to the whole feel of it.
If it's not broke it soon will be. Assuming this pin is used for its intended purpose and not a laundry folding table. Every one of these I've played (all in private collections) were down due to one issue or another. Sad. They certainly cannot stand up to typical tournament play. It seems that these were designed to be played 1-2 times a week and catered to the more money than sense consumer that just wants something pretty to show folks when they come over and it's off for 99% of its time. I love the machine, agree it's beautiful, but if its always broken then its not a lot of fun. Also waiting 2 years or longer, people are still waiting it unacceptable. I'm not sure Haggis is going to survive. I want them to, but they need to figure this out. They might want to consult with Barrels of Fun who got it right on their first pin and their 2nd isn't long in coming now.
A look back at what could of been, coupled with bad playfield manufacturing, unnecessary re-tooling of equipment resulting in long production times high production costs and a giant fraudster behind all of it!
It's a great point of discussion. Personally, having been in the hobby longer than ramps have been, I like ramps but don't find them necessary to create a great game.

Thank you and congratulations to you as well. One of these years we would love to join you in your enviable position. At least for a little while.
What a gorgeous game. Love the sound effects as well. Would make a great addition to any game room. Congrats

She is a beaut. Now I just need and want to schedule a trip to TazPin to play yours.
Well done haggis, I'm very impressed
Beautiful machine. They did one heck of a job. Enjoy the machine and thanks for sharing.
Thank you, and yes they did
Great recap. I am thinking about ordering a Centaur.
I would love to myself but, in my small lineup I am just not sure I have the ability to wait the 2 years for it to get here.
Hello, I got my Mermaid a few months ago, it's truly a beautiful pin, can't believe how nice it looks and plays. It's my first early SS pin and can't believe I waited so long to get one.
Congratulations. We are also loving ours
Glad that you finally got it. Wow does it ever look beautiful!
Thank you. It really is the prettiest game we own.
Really sharp looking revisit of a Bally classic by Haggis. Nice light show. Congratulations 👍🏼
Thank you. We have been enjoying it immensely
Love the ambient sounds of this machine. Great stuff
I agree. This is one of the times when the sequel is better than the original.
The attention to detail that Haggis put into this machine is like no other! Absolutely gorgeous machine!. Congrats you are one lucky man!
You are so right and thank you.
Im glad youtube recommend me this. I had no idea my country made pinball machines! Might have to visit them next time im in Victoria
They are working on game three. If you make it down there please post pictures. We would love to see them.
I might be a Vpin Guy at heart due to the practicality of many tables to choose from in one machine but boy doesn`t this look like a work of art ...... splendid
Have fun doing what makes you happy, and thank you for the comment.
This is one of the most beautiful pin, i have ever seen!
Thank you and in person it's even more amazing
Congratulations!!! What a work of art!
Thank you. We sure agree
Congratulations it’s beautiful! such a long wait I don’t know how you did it
Thank you. We began to wonder ourselves a few times how long we could hold out.
Wow that is an amazing table! I've only played the original via emulation and was one of my favorites. Enjoy!
Thank you. Wait till you try the new code this one has the original and the new, and I keep being drawn to the new
What an absolutely beautiful game! It would be great to get a follow up on thoughts/bugs worked out etc…… congrats
This is a great idea. Look for something at the 30-day mark so we can give it a real chance to see what we think. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on that one
Wow what a stunner! Fathom is one of my favourites and with new modes and all that shiny you'd have to use a crowbar to get me off it
it is cool. We have been amazed how much it feels like we added two games to our collection, rather than just one.
I like how the status displays are down under. What a beauty.
And the animations on the displays are awesome also.
BADASS. Thanks for showing us this Gem, im jealous as hell lol. Enjoy brother 👍🤙🕹🎮
Probably the most beautiful game ever made. Now Haggis needs to do a code update to support this beauty

My local spot just added this machine. Played it tonight was very impressed
That is awesome. I look forward to playing an updated machine than the early edition we had access to.
Looks amazing Lucky 😁 person yeah its stunning gorgeous all rhat and some wow
Great video unboxing. Is the projector working ok now?can you do another game play video of Fathom?
The projector appears to need to go into cool down mode so updated code might help? We have had multiple requests to do a Revisited revisit so we are planning one this fall. Right now I am finishing final location videos for our pinball trip around Lake Michigan.
Awesome :D My home state of Victoria doing us proud !!
Absolutely!
Great looking game
Thank you. It really does stand out compared to any table we have ever had, without the need to even think about modding.

The Aussie call outs definitely add character and makes the game all the more immersive.
So do you have a classic bally sound option on this machine?
Love the shirt! Live right down the street from WW😎
Thank you. You are very lucky. We sure wish we lived closer and my wife would of been heavily encouraged to participate in WOW due to the fact that if they get 100 women to sign up they are giving away a pinball machine. Wow!
How tall are you? No offense but you look really small compared to the game. Could be an optical illusion?
Partially camera angle, partially due to being 5'5
Wow, this thing looks fantastic. I'd miss the original electro-voice though. It's amazing that they sank so much into this table, wonder if they made their money back on it yet
In Classic mode it has the original electro voice. I would love to have it next to the original and hear the difference. Now I have a quest.
Glad to see a video of one of these unboxed on the other side of the world...how was the paintwork?
Everything regarding the aesthetics of this machine has been top notch.
How does the flipper feel? Does it feel like a Williams?
It's a Bally game so the flippers are the chunkier Bally style, but yes they feel like the original.
@@TiltTrek any issues with gameplay?

That’s spectacular!
Thank you!
How are the flippers? Are they strong feeling? I noticed a few people rebuilt the flippers to be stronger
It's a great question. We have zero issues getting anywhere on the playfield, but we have needed to adjust the button gap to keep the upper flipper working and we have been discussing adjusting the springs to make the flipper return snappier.
It's crazy that haggis is out of business now tbh!
Certainly a beautiful game.

No ramps or rails or mechanical moving figures? Nice looking machine but the gameplay looks rather one dimensional.
