Wow baking soda for the win! I didn't know that such a simple tactic could give such a beautiful vintage velvet look! Really neat and a really easy DIY. Thanks for putting this video together! I look forward to seeing more!
I am glad I found this video. These are beautiful. I have a question for the velvet looking ones that you dusted the excess baking soda off from: did the remaining baking soda stick to them permanently with the wet paint acting as a glue for them when they were dry? To me, at least through the lens of the camera, they really did look like velvet, which I think is so gorgeous. I’m just hoping they would still look the same to be able to use the following year and you don’t have a bunch of baking powder in the bottom of the containers they’re packed away in. So I suppose my main question is when you packed them up after us used them this past season, did you have a lot of baking soda still falling off of them? Thanks so much for sharing. I loved all three looks, especially in these colors. 😊🫶🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for your comment! These are so fun to make. So the velvet ones weren’t a problem for me! If you store then correctly they hold up quite well and there was no baking soda falling off 😁 hope that helps and hope you have fun making them!
@@monise_makes thank you for your prompt reply. I have begun making some, the first three with the baking soda mixed into the paint for texture. I also really love the way these dried perfectly Matte. I will try your style next! 😎👍🏻🫶🏻
