As an LA native, I’m always nervous about this game. USC always has elite dudes and fans that will wake up when they do well. They have nothing to lose going into this, and should they win, this will let the media that hates us say they were right about Riley as a coach and right about us as “untested”. Leave no doubt, stay focused, and complete this part of the story. Beat southern cal!
Great take here and I agree. I do think the Irish are the better team but this game needs to be won and is far from gimme. I think the Irish are focused and will be very disruptive on the defensive side. I think Howard Cross plays and that will be a great advantage and only add to the pass rush which will be a huge challenge for the Trojan O-line. I think love and price will get theirs. Dembrock will have a few tricks up his sleeve on top of a great game plan. Limiting mistakes, penalties and turnovers will be crucial for the Irish. Not taking this game for granted but looking to my Irish to be who I think they are. My Irish ptsd is real though. Ughhhh go Irish
I'm very nervous about this game. USC, despite their record, has loads of talent. The WRs and RBs are excellent. They are dangerous. ND needs to come to play, because USC is an upset waiting to happen.
I am too, but I've also been nervous about other games this year and CMF has had the team ready to play. He's done a good job in particular playing against our bigger rivals/big games. I'll officially stop worrying if they win this one 😂 Logical part of me says we win convincingly: remember, our D is going up against very talented offense in practice, maybe not quite some of the USC receivers, but the TE, the RBs, etc - they're ready to rock and roll. I'm looking for Bryce Young to have an edge rushing coming out party! ☘️💪
Respect every opponent. Play to the standard regardless of the other team. That being said, USC has lost to average to bad teams. They haven’t played a team like ND. ND will probably play their B game on the road and win by double digits.
Yeah, I think if ND's lines play how they played last week this should be a double-digit win. That, and the USC QB just didn't look comfortable last week. I also think the committee may wait until the USC game to determine who is ranked higher PSU or ND. Also if ND does fall to 8, the 1 seed kinda gets punished because playing ND or Tennessee would be way harder than playing the 6 or 7 seeds.
