The beach was great. Not as wide as some resorts in the area. There was seaweed but it wasn’t too bad. You could step in one foot and see fish. Lots of fish under the pier too
I was here when it was the grand oasis Sian Ka’an and stayed in a terrace room on the sun club side. Do you know if Hyatt has made any improvements yet? Thanks
I have a mini 1. I didn’t ask permission -there were a lot of staff around the front of the resort when I flew it there. No one looked twice. There was another fellow flying his drone on the beach a day or two before -there are definately some no drone areas but I didn’t see any postings
I think it was subject to market conditions. We had already booked with Travelocity and we called the resort to ask to upgrade. They seemed to have the ability to negotiate the rate as they went down from the price they originally quoted us.
If you looking at a family friendly resort that is easy on the budget -for sure. The food was good the staff were great. If you are looking for a 5 star resort with gourmet cooking-no. It is great for a three star. I would go back with the kids and grandkids for sure. With the wife for a romantic getaway -wouldn’t be my first choice

I don’t think they have started. They are supposed to do a big Reno some time this year
