What a great video! I loved seeing all of your beautiful haul and listening to you! Everything you say is exactly how I feel! We go down these rabbit holes that nobody understands unless they stitch! We need it all! lol! I also enjoyed hearing the chimes just outside your door. So peaceful...I have birds in my backyard too that we love to listen to, and we also have hummingbirds that we love so much. They are literally like little fairies! If my comment is not too late, I would love to stitch the Winter Rose pattern. She's adorable! Thanks so much for sharing! I love long videos!

You are amazing and you should never ever justify your purchases to anyone. You and your husband know your budget for the hobbies you both like. I personally loved seeing all that you adding to your collections. I like collecting patterns as much as someone else might collect trading cards or jewelry. You do you! Angel Rose, stay beautiful and I really loved hearing your chimes. They are so relaxing and the birds in your garden.

Totally agree, I am retired, this is my stitching, something I love and is something that brings me happiness and relaxation….. so yea, I spend my money on it. Also, I do love to be surrounded by those things I love, even if they are not finish😂😊❤
Yes, being surrounded by pretties and choices that you love is the best. Honestly love going through patterns and matching up a fabric and then finding the floss. And then one day having a finish 🤣

Angel and Rose!! I love hearing your chimes. I would love to sit in your sunroom listening to your chimes as I am stitching. Love your loot. A lot of great purchases. I would like to purchase more fabric but not a local store and it's so hard to buy online. I believe it's called Button Company and may have the buttons for the patterns. Instead of making stockings maybe do just pillows. It's really no one's business on 😊how you spend your money except Mr. Honey.
Linda that is genius making the stockings into pillows. I will have to go through them again and see which ones speak to me and then buy the buttons for them. So smart!
Agreed, buying fabric online can be difficult as the colours are so hard to represent on the screen. Most times I get lucky or buy what I have had before which helps.
I love my chimes, it is a wonderful way to start my day sipping some coffee, watching the birds and listening to the chimes.

Wonderful floss tube. New subbie! I got the Nightengale Miribilia Chart.! I need to get the embellishments, fabric, and floss. I am a retired nurse so this definately called to me. Hope to get them by Christmas! Angel, Rose

No need to justify your haul to me or anyone else. It's your money, you and your family earned it, spend it how ever you 👍 like! If someone doesn't like it, there are hundreds of other channels to watch. You are lovely and I enjoy all of your videos. Side note: I love nerds too ! Along with gummy bears. I work at hobby lobby and they just started selling the (share) size bag of both of those! Share! Ya right!!! Lol😂

Even though you won’t stitch actual stockings, maybe you could do what Kim the Contented Needleworker does and just pick the portion of the pattern that you like and just stitch that part. Like the figure, or I think the one had a hill with sheep. That way you can use the chart but you don’t have to necessarily make full stockings.

Join the Evergreen chapter of Ega. In November they have a retreat that has a huge trash to treasure Ron.. it is often whole collections of members who have passed. If Threadneedle Street is your LNS then you are in the area.
I wish I knew about this chapter before I moved from WA. That would have been an awesome chapter to join.

Oh my gosh Janet, couldn’t believe the price of them! Had to get them even if I never do a stocking. Another viewer mentioned taking parts from them and making smalls which is so darn smart.

Hi, I live in Marysville, WA and have watched your videos for quite a while now. I agree with you that Denise at Threadneedle Street is a wonderful shop owner-a true angel! I was just there in early August. Was sorry to have missed meeting you in person at the Tukwila stitchy meet up when you were here. Your loot is just wonderful and I love that it makes you happy and brings you joy.
She is the sweetest and I get into her shop every chance I get.

What a fun video! I'm really curtailing my collecting as we're starting to get ready to move and downsizing our space. I decided to do a wedding sampler when we got married. I never did one for my first marriage (which as it turns out is perfectly fine...) but I wanted one. I ended up modifying Leeds House Sampler by Rosewood Manor. I'm really happy with how it came out.. of course now I need to get it framed; maybe for our 5th anniversary in May lol
I believe that if you sitch one of those Shepherds Bush stockings as directed, it might be a use for your perle cottons (just trying to help!)

My first marriage someone made us a wedding piece and being a crafty person knowing what went into it, I have a hard time letting it go which is so silly as it has absolutely no meaning to me anymore. And working on one for a new start in life will have all the meaning behind it that the first one didn’t. Now to make a darn decision on which one that will be 🤣
Lol yes you are right…the perle cotton will be great for the stocking patterns. And someone made a suggestion of just picking parts of the stocking and making it into pillows which is genius.

Winter Rose is beautiful. I’ve only stitched one Lavender and Lace pattern. The Bride… it’s amazing, but now I’m no longer attached to it. It’s hard when you spend so much time stitching something and then it loses its meaning. But your loot is awesome. You shouldn’t feel like you need to justify what you buy. If it makes you happy, then add it to your treasures. ❤
Ooohh yes spending so much time on a piece and then it loosing its meaning would be so hard! L&L patterns are so glorious and time consuming (at least for me lol).

Never ever apologize for how you wish to spend your own money! I refuse to do so when my Sister comments on my investments. Hi Lisa! Just found your channel and loved your loot reveal. I’m afraid you and I might be soul sisters….so many of the things you talked about rang true for me too…including not having a shopping cart and buying the misdyed colour and cotton threads. I recently decided I needed to collect all of the Miribilia Queens (accomplished within 24 hours 🙄🤪). Have you seen those? Like I’m gonna get those stitched. I may be retired now but I’m 60 years old for gods sake…. I tried to talk myself out of the HATS red box especially since in Colorado the release time was 5am. I couldn’t sleep that night and was awake at release time. I got into the website fairly easily and put it in my cart but talked myself out of it. I proceeded to periodically check her website to see if it was still available and finally broke down and purchased it the next day. (Do you know it is still available on her website!) Of course I also had to get the Stitchfolk matching bag…😂 Good grief! Thanks vor the video….I’m now subscribed. Lori
I am do glad that you found me Lori and yes it sounds like we could be soul sisters 🤣 When Mr G gies shopping with me he always asks if we need a cart/basket to which I always say no and he inevitably has to go get one part way through shopping 🤣🤣🤣
Oh wow! Good for you getting all the Queens in such a short amount of time. They are absolutely gorgeous. I do have them all and now that I almost have Queen of Peace done, the Queen will get attention soon.
Good lord, the HATS box was so dang stressful - and then to see that there were still boxes available later that afternoon just about put me in a tizzy hahaha. I could have slept in!

Two things: you are the second flosstuber that I’ve heard in the last week feeling the need to justify their haul. Who are these people that think it’s okay to question how someone they don’t even know spends their money? In my opinion, it’s not their business. You are nicer my dear than I am. 😂 I see it as supporting the economy. Also, I’m the wife of a truck driver and my husband would say that I hauled that loot from the shop to home. 😂

My goodness, didn’t realize there were other Flosstubers having the same issue. It amazes me that a few feel the need to criticize choices made that don’t directly affect them. Oh well, will continue to haul my loot home and enjoy the comments from sweet commenters such as you 🥰

Agreed. I have now decided that I am buying for expenses for my funeral lol Even if the kids get pennies on the dollar for anything in my stash (I am leaving instructions though so hopefully not actual pennies on the dollar 🤣) I should have quite a fantastic send off. And that is what I will be telling nosy parkers in the future - I am sure that will be a great shut down comment hehehe
