Dalton your dad is one of the best and your body work is Excellent body work and paint. I flipped cars back in the 1980’s when I was a kid trying to keep a roof over my head and then when I got a Union scale job I started flipping houses because the profit margin was 400-500% in my little town where property taxes were cheaper and old houses were run down. I saved my money in the 401k at work and started a traditional IRA account and maxed it out with my savings and I got my time in at work to retire in 2019 on June 29th so I retired early and now I live off my retirement pension from two different companies and my SSA check and I still let my IRA ACCOUNT compound every month tax deferred after I rolled over my 401k account into it. I’m not as poor anymore because my royalties are paying most of my property taxes and insurance costs and my utilities so my money is growing in money markets and CD’s and my money will help out my kids after I give up the ghost. I worked hard many long hours. It feels good to be retired. It’s nice to see you and your dad work together, my mom and dad passed away in 2022, nine months apart and I remember working with my mom and dad and having your parents around is truly a blessing.

My project still sits idle in my shop . Lost my job , medical issues and life happened . I'm 60 now with unfinished project ...but I thank God everyday for what I have been blessed with and I miss my dad so much . Enjoy your family and time with your dad
Go back to your project Robert, just work slowly, talk to your dad while you work, he will be there with you, he will see the job done down the track. Peace.
Lost mine in 2021. First couple of years were dark where I kept looking at things I could have done differently to make him live longer. But I'm also smart enough to know that there was really nothing more to be done. I miss him everyday, and every time I have to take a big decision. He had a way with people, and he had an eye on the future and half of my success I credit to his decisions - some of them tough, some others timely, and some visionary. He died at 70, and by his time Robert, you have at least 10 more years left. I say you can do 2 projects at least at a slow 5 years a project.

You were talking about your dad being the best at body work. I knew either you or someone you knew did body work for a living. I’ve been a mechanic at different dealerships for almost 30 years, and I’ve learned a lot from the body guys over the years. I’ve seen you apply a lot of the tricks I’ve seen over the years. Speaking of Corvette's I plan to paint my 5.3 Vortec swapped 82 Gmc shortbed Squarebody 1968 Corvette Bronze. Which is a pretty similar color to what it is now. They did a scuff and shoot on it and it didnt stick well. Was a texas truck till 2014 then ended up in Kentucky in 2018 and i bought it. One of the first cars I learned how to do body work on. I ended up painting white. A 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera GT coup. With every single conceivable option you could get for that car. Along with the biggest engine you cod fit in that thing with performance brakes and shocks. Along with at least a dozen more that someone else had put on it, since they shared a lot of pieces with other models. The car was originally this two-tone black and silver. And then someone had rattle canned the thing black. And aside from the fiber glass repair, I pretty much did everything else. That was in this video to it and it turned out pretty good. Well as good as a fifteen year old high schooler can do in his backyard over a three day weekend.
That's actually a totally fair deal for a running driving 'vette with fresh paint. Most guys (though you said anyone can do it) don't have the space of ability to do the paint. But all the cosmetic and small mechanical items are exactly what a new or young enthusiast can enjoy doing themselves. Great job!
I like the way that you explain it. And encourage people to jump in. I think to many young people don't attempt something like this because they are worried about messing up. Way to add encouragement. Good stuff!
There is always something to learn from Dalton when it comes to paint and general bodywork issues. I love watching him perform his magic, it is so enjoyable to watch him as he corrects problems. Thanks Dalton, best wishes and hope the weekend survival trek doesn't turn out as bad as you were foreshadowing in your "live" today. All the best to Kevin & Mook, and hope you don't have any problems with the Tux fittings etc. See you in 10 days or so...

Id have to say, these lighter colors on the C3s makes me like them a lot, that white looks pretty good on it. Even your collector's edition looks nice in that silverish beige
Yep! a pretty white 76 Corvette! Hmmmm? Just goes to plan, get most of everything else done that you know of. Then the tranny is not working right! Some kind of law of mechanic's going on there,,,,,. Something else to get done before the big sale can happen. Great show with your father and son helping this time. Thanks for the entertainment. What is that saying about the mind of a man who keeps a nice and tidy work desk as compared to having one just as it is,,, from getting lots of work done? I think this applies here to your shop.... Although it drives me nuts to be like that,,,, Great show!

Talked a little c3 corvette with ya at pontiac weekend in norwalk. Love seeing this beauty , and so wish I had the funds to buy this.
Definitely approved the banjo 🪕 over the sander / grinder noise👍🏼
Nothing wrong with that car right there. Outstanding work Dalton. Your Dad is the best at body work.
That's actually a totally fair deal for a running driving 'vette with fresh paint. Most guys (though you said anyone can do it) don't have the space of ability to do the paint. But all the cosmetic and small mechanical items are exactly what a new or young enthusiast can enjoy doing themselves. Great job!
I've painted a few cars outside that didn't look terrible!
Good channel and good people.thanks
Nothing better than a father/son rigging sesh. Glad to see your pops still around Dalton. I still enjoy spending time with my old man.
That was the best professional paint job I've ever seen
Bro, you have inspired me to get back in to hot rodding again. I absolutely love your channel. Budget build at its finest. Keep up the awesome content man. You and JD are killing it.
I'm a heavy diesel mechanic that was leary of body work. Your painting videos gave me the confidence to do it on my own. I'm currently working on the body and paint on my 2 door hard top '70 satellite and its turning out pretty damn good. Thank you
Id have to say, these lighter colors on the C3s makes me like them a lot, that white looks pretty good on it.
Haha Dalton throwing some shade at vgg, wipe on oils patina ect, but I 100% agree fresh shiny paint allways looks better
Looks great 👍
