    It is so great that you offer fabrics with 100% wool content or high percentage of it. I am so tired of all this polyester, the world and I have enough plastic around. Fantastic camera also, one can see and almost feel the fabric texture i. Now I just have to decide about my projects and soon I go to your online shop, you will see my name as Rita. I have been a big fan of you since the Sewing Bee. and I am so glad about your channel, shop and projects, thank you!

    Thanks so much for not jiggling the fabric around in close up. It is so much easier to watch.👍

    I can't wait to see your video making the coat. I love the fabric and the color you are using. I loved your last coat you made for yourself and the one you made for your little girl.

    Hi Lauren. This is Jalika. I love, love your videos. You explain so perfectly. I plan to purchase a sewing machine. And you have inspired me to get one sooner. So, that I can start making my own wardrobe. Thank you again. God bless you.

    I learn so much about fabrics from you! My favorites are anything with stripes or polka dots. Love rayon/viscose fabrics as well. Come back summer - I’m not ready for winter yet!

    Really helpful and appealing way of presenting the fabrics. One suggestion... Where possible, could you tell us the country of origin? That's always really important to me when I buy fabric, and there are interesting stories attached: linens from Lithuania are different from those produced in Ireland; wools from Italy have a certain kind of quality and are often sourced from higher end fashion houses; cottons from India can be slave labour or fine craft, and you can see the difference. Hope to get to the shop some day, but I'm an awful long way away.

    Lauren would I be right in thinking that the higher the wool content the itchier it would be ? If so what would you recommend to line the fabric with... poly cotton or lawn? Thank you ... love your vlogs btw

    • @LaurenGuthrieGhani
      @LaurenGuthrieGhani  6 років тому

      Hi Philipa, Not necessarily, it depends on how the quality of the wool, how it had been treated and how it has been woven. If you are worried about itching then it would always be best to get a sample.
      In terms of lining it depends what you are making. If you are making a skirt or dress for example and you plan to wear tights or leggings underneath, its better to have something that is slippy so that the garment doesn't stick to you, so a basic polyester lining or you can get fancier ones like bemberg. Similar for a coat or outer garment, a slippery lining is best so that it is easier to take it on and off. I hope that helps :)

    How much is the prices in USA dollars cause they are expensive but beautiful and this price is by the yard?

    • @LaurenGuthrieGhani
      @LaurenGuthrieGhani  6 років тому

      Hello :) the price is by the meter. 1 yard =90cm approx so they are almost the same, a meter is just a little bit bigger than a yard. The price in US dollars will vary depending on the exchange rate but at the moment is about £1=$1.25 I hope that helps :)
