2xtreme is a PS1 extreme sports racing game where you skate, cycle, snowboard, and rollerblade around the world against other racers. It is the sequel to ESPN Extreme Games, though it now lacks the ESPN branding.
mxlenny94 completes every race in the game as fast as possible by careful use of speed powerups and gates, minimizing airtime, and otherwise careful gameplay.
The author would like to share a personal message: A big thanks to all my friends who've been nothing but supportive since the first time I told them about this. Your encouragement helped me push through making this and I can't thank you enough. I love you.

Why does he say "get the mayor " when. Grabbing the spring power up? What does it do?

That game was my favorite on the demo disc that came with my PSX I got for Christmas back in 97. I remember stopping just before the finish line and backtrack to the start of the level just to do it again, and noticing how the pedestrians changed into wooden cut outs when doing so! Anyway, brings back memories, thanks for your hard work!

Any chance we can get a "playground" version? An example: core maximum points (tricks) or hit as many gates as possible. One of my favorite games as a teenager and you did an excellent TAS!

The way it went into full stereo inside tunnels for the tracks was just awesome. This game was great.

The Los Angeles stage got me squinting my eyes to see what was on the screen, imagine that on an old crt tv 🥴

...you can perform tricks in this???
I know in 3xtreme you can, i remember having fun with that one, but 2xtreme i just hated because i couldnt do anything.
And yeah the game really means those 80mph, it was really hard for me to not face plant into something every 5 seconds.

Yes they do. Each sport has roughly 5-6 tricks you can do. I didn’t include them here because they just slow you down.
