Hello everyone! I'm Ccmaci, but most people just call me Cc. I'm the Lead Director of the Hallownest Vocalized Project, and a UA-camr who creates videos about Hollow Knight: a 2D Metroidvania action-adventure game set in the Kingdom of Hallownest, a world inhabited by intelligent sword wielding bugs of all shapes and sizes. Hollow Knight has such an intricate and expansive lore to uncover which I'm incredibly passionate about, so much so I started publishing videos about it on UA-cam. After nearly two years of dissecting this game story and characters within, I realized I had the ability to make a project like Hallownest Vocalized become a reality.
"What is Hallownest Vocalized?"
To summarize: this project aims to program English Voice Actors into the video game Hollow Knight, enhancing the player's immersion when interacting with the bugs of Hallownest. When this project is completed, we’ll release a “Hallownest Vocalized” mod you can install into Hollow Knight and play for yourself!
Hollow Knight already has voice actors speaking for NPCs. However, they all talk in a made-up language called "Hollow Speak", and we usually only ever hear them say small phrases when starting up long conversations. This by itself does make for an immersive experience, but with English Voice Actors, we have the potential to make each character feel so much more real, creating an entirely new experience for players to enjoy. With over 300 VA roles needing to be filled, this is my most ambitious project yet. Knowing this, I've spent this Summer preparing Hallownest Vocalized for this moment, and I'm happy to say that it's finally ready for auditions!

Seeing some people confused, if you're curious who voiced Hornet, I did! This was to show that all NPCs in the trailer are available for audition. I will not be voicing Hornet in the final product.

Its a good option but I think it would be better if you could somehow make your voice sound more feminine
That’s nice to hear as personally I didn’t like some of the voice that were used for the character (I’m not saying that I didn’t like the voices themselves just some didn’t fit with the character that was voiced) and one thing is their normal like enemies grunts and whatever don’t Match the voice given so I find it nice to hear that they all aren’t final decisions. Also I like sly’s voice

As someone with a crappy (wait is that allowed on your channel lol) high pitched voice - I might even practice some characters for this

@@asylvis3311 That isn't actually the THK screaming but the radiance from inside them. PV also does the screaming animation but there is no sound.
Makes sense cuzz if they had a voice (to cry suffering) they would have joined the pile of corpses it the bottom of the abyss.

@Skibbity Bop the voices aren't final, it's the creators voice for a proof of concept
The voices really fit the characters but I'd say giving Hornet a female voice would be better since the noises Hornet makes are more feminine
True but it was maci himself who voiced hornet meaning they might not have had the right voice actor for the role yet

mask maker is already on point, and, I know im just a rando, but i'd give cornifer a thicker accent, since Iselda tells us they're immigrants that are only recently there
That Sly voice is really accurate to his voice lines, I hope that whomever did Sly in this trailer remains Sly.

hollow knight is one of my favorite games of all time and this project reignited my spark for hollow knight and i can't wait to experience it again with actual voice acting and so i thank you so much for starting this wonderful WONDERFUL project.
