I think the ZR2 has a better looking front end.
They have a 3 inch factory lift, not 2 inch. To better compare the price of the 2, you should add the ZR2 package III. The AT4X comes standard with heated and cooled seats.
Bose sound system is standard in the AT4X. The AT4X also has passenger power seats if that is something some buyers would want. Nice review. Thanks so much.
You are Correct, my Colorado Trail Boss is 2inch lift, Z71 1 inch lift ZR2 3 inch
My 22 zr2 came with heated seats and steering wheel. Power seats for both front. Full leather . Didn't have to add. All came included. 44k

I think he means the the lift on the zr2 is only a 2 inch true lift and the other inch is a spacer. It has the same lift as the trail boss but with a spacer
The Chevy dealers around SoCal wanted over sticker price and GMC dealers gave my $1000 off list price. I bought a black 2024 AT4X and love it.
Nobody cares about the sticker price. Always ask to see the invoice price and never pay more than $200 over that price. If they refuse to show you the invoice price, then walk away
Compatible zr2 will have convenience package +1500; underbody camera +500: technology package +950; bose sound +500. Total ~52000. At4x is ~55K. The difference between the trucks is 2-3K. Not that much.
I had 23 Solar Flare AT4X (MSRP $56,500) and now have white 24 ZR2 (MSRP $53,185). I like the grille on the AT4X better, but the hood on the ZR2 stands out more. The interior is definitely nicer in the AT4X than the ZR2. The GMC costs more because it has by far more standard luxury features like HUD, power driver/passenger seats, red accents on all dials, AT4X stitching on the front seats, AT4X logo all weather floor mats and the drivers seat has pre collision warning vibration. The ZR2 does not offer power passenger seat, pre collision warning driver seat or HUD and the optional all weather floor mats ($225) only have the bowtie logo instead of ZR2. I do like both trucks very well but miss the HUD and power passenger seat. It all comes down to personal preference. Great review.
I went with the AT4X and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. The white leather has stayed clean with little effort and it is hands down worth the money.
Yeah ppl are complaining about the white, but I've had zero issues keeping it clean. It's not in places where you're going to get scuff marks on it or anything like that.
@The_Food_Police my problem is I really dislike the white, not an issue with keeping it clean I just wish they'd offer a darker interior option and I'd 100% get it
I like the interior on AT4X. And the options you get...... i like the front of the ZR2 better
I bought the AT4x and I constantly get unsolicited positive comments everywhere I go. It definitely stands out in a way that the ZR2 doesn’t quite make the impression.

Nice Review. Both are sweet trucks. I personally like the more aggressive lines of the ZR2 better (Bison is my choice). I prefer the interior of AT4X over ZR2 though. The cut-out in the bumpers aren't what give you the ground clearance, those are for better approach angles, which ZR2 has slightly a slightly better number at 38.2 v 36.9 on the Canyon.

AT4X obviously looks better and more premium... BUT, is it a nice enough difference to justify the cost? Hard to say. But it is nicer.
Both beautiful. I have the ZR2. No yellow seatbelt for me.one other nice item, I’m getting over 18mpg! I’d take a real close look at these if they were the same price. Tough call….but at that much more for the GMC, it’s a no brainer. ZR2 for me all day

I just got into the 2023 Taco Sport and its still for under 6’ people. Had the 2018 ZR2 now may go for the AT4X.

I have a 2024 ZR2. That engines been in the Silverado since 2019
I have the 22 zr2 v6. I drove the gutless 23 zr2. Not impressed. My hp and torque comes right out of the gate. Had choice 22 or 23. My 22 came fully loaded. Everything I got with 22 was 44k. I built the 23 the same as my 22 and price came to 57k. Not sold on the newer generation.

That ZR2 cost 11k more than my Colorado Trail Boss plus I got every option you can get on a TB! I would definitely choose that ZR2 over that GMC, that was a big price difference in the two!
The two vehicles don’t even compare in any way shape or form.
I did test drive the TB and the ZR2 today and I think the TB feels in a lot of ways extremely cheep. Just the steering wheel of the TB was just awful to touch. I was really aiming for the TB but I ended up ordering a ZR2

Nice video. I have seen the AT4X in the flesh but not the ZR-2. I believe that either would put a smile on my face. I do like the styling on the Canyon a bit more.

Also, AT4X has rear and front locker, ventilated seats and head up display.
I like both … really nice to have options.
They raised the mileage on the 24s by 1 mile an hour on both. These also have a 3 inch lift.
Awesome video now being able to see both trucks side by side. I would go with the ZR2 all day with these high prices on mid size trucks. But I do wish the Colorado came with the bumper lights on the face of the AT4X and the interior looks WAY better inside the GMC.

I have a white AT4X and the white seats look clean! The black ZR2 does look super nice though - like a lifted sports car from a head on view. Both look super sick with the Bison / AEV trim levels (if you can actually find them). I am super happy with the white AT4X. I would have bought either in black if they were readily available when I was shopping. 3:49 the Canyon does look a lot beefier!
I like the look of the Canyon better but not 9k better! Everything else is pretty much the same.

Looking online there were many used 2022 Colorado zr2 crew cabs.. I saw one with just 7,100 miles for sale for $40k and another for $37 with just 12k miles.. there was a 2021 zr2 with a diesel for sale! Why buy new when you can replace the screen infotainment with something even better than they have today for way less!

Regular AT4 interior is beautiful.. if AT4X had the regular AT4 interior it would be in my garage.

The 2.7 engine is build like the Duramax but with gasoline instead of diesel. So far, I have never encountered a problem with the engine. Do your regular maintenance on your truck and you should be good.
