      Thanks for watching! Much more to this story ahead as I'm just about to start another 10 day trip for these steelhead next week. If you like fishing adventure, look forward to this Saturday's video where I adventure the kenai river in March and find lots of cool river treasures. Cheers

    Fun to see you and your dad connecting like that. Good thoughts on strategy you offer as well. Who plays the music throughout?

      Thanks! Hard to know exactly where the music comes from originally because it was taken off youtube in a free to use channel. There are lots out there labeled as no copywrite music.

    That’s a flycraft!!! You were able to take it on airlines? Great video!

      Yes! We had to pay an oversize fee for it because the boat bags we used filled up with life jackets and other things, but it otherwise was a pretty easy process.
      This was my first fishing video. Lots more to come. I hope you subscribe and follow along more adventures. Cheers!

      Thanks! It's was a large task to go through the enormous pile of footage for this. It was totally worth it as I've learned a bunch along the way that will make future videos more efficient.

      I've never eaten a steelhead. I'm not sure I will unless forced to for survival.

    What month were you guys on this system ?

    • @wickedalaska
      @wickedalaska  2 місяці тому

      I fish it anywhere between beginning of April and ending of May. Sometimes you get there and the run hasn't happened or has already come and gone. It's all up to the snow pack, river conditions, and when the fish want to move.

      @@wickedalaska awesome man you guys timed it amazingly. Down here in Washington multi fish days are unheard of. Your right in stronghold of the last wild steelhead frontier. I hope I make it up there someday. Awesome video man.

    Why did you let them go

      Different from salmon fishing, trout fishing tends to be a sport fish (catch and release). I think you can legally keep one if you want to, but the culture around fishing in this area would turn everyone on the river against you.
