Ah, a totally normal comment section is coming...Ok, I'll give my 2 cents...I just think it's weird coming from a company that has strict height requirements (5'4"-5'7") for their princesses in the parks, along with forcing all of the actors playing the character to have the exact same handwriting, and making them redo it for hours in training until they get it
I’m very disappointed that they couldn’t follow the original storyline and will not be watching this movie.
She fades in comparison to the animated ariel in the park with her jade dress and ruby red hair.
For me this is about consistency. She looks nothing like the cartoon character. I would feel the same way if she were suddenly blonde and spoke with a Scandinavian accent. This isn’t Ariel. The cast member playing her is lovely, though.
Why do we need a Live-Action Ariel? What will you do to Original Animated One?
Sooooo….the remake is not a retelling of Ariel’s story? She’s now Ariel? Genuine question, nothing racially charged here, just curious about the story line.

Ariel is a pale white girl with very red hair. I'm not sure who this person is. Not Ariel though. Maybe we need a white Tiana?
