i'd love to see a cooking competition like the fishing/bug tournaments! maybe something like animal crossing meets overcooked or cooking mama? it could even be seasonal with different ingredients :3 adding non-tree fruits like strawberries and grapes would be nice too!
Definitely want the main street concept to make a return. I'd love to make a shopping district on my island that doesn't involve putting furniture and fake walls out in the rain with no roofs.
I would love to see them let us customize town hall or resident services, maybe be able to place more stuff on top of tables, but some river decorations, maybe being able to make custom paths have like brick sounds or dirt sounds corresponding to their appearance, there are tons of possibilities for a new Animal Crossing game!
100% agree! a lot of my island furniture is grey and black stone so resident services, nook's, and able sisters really stand out lol. also yes river decorations!! people with mods for that have me so jealous 😭
@@cricketjuices I know! For example The Able Sisters stand out too much for my desert island, and then I don’t know what to do with it! I am still glad that Nintendo let us change the interior and exterior of the houses though!
I'd love to see more interactivity with furniture. Like you click 'A' at a pool or jacuzzi and your character switches to a bathing suit and has a soak. It would be cute if when you clicked on the shower stall, you stepped inside and then it filled up with soap suds and then you stepped out all clean. And yes, you'd shower fully clothed. This is a family game after all. Mini games could be tied to board games/ video games. Stuff like that. Maybe there could be a hygiene mechanic where your villagers reacted certain ways depending on how you smelled. Maybe you'd attract or repel certain bugs based on how fragrant you were. Maybe they have certain foods or gifts they preferred and friendship levels were unlocked based on what you gave them. And your could get tiered rewards like exclusive furniture, clothing or paintings based on your level of friendship. That, along with dialogue, would give your villagers more personality.
I agree with all of these! You mentioned wanting to be able to buy more Nook Miles tickets at once, but I wish you could select a quantity for *anything* you’re trying to buy on the kiosks so you don’t have to repeat the same action over and over. If they still want to limit only 5 transactions a day for items, fine. But at least let me have the option to select up to 5 of whatever I’m buying. It would be helpful for buying things like street lamps, for example. Another thing I’d like is to be able to go into an editing mode outside of your house, like you’re able to on Happy Home Paradise. I know, it might be a lot to make the editing mode work for the whole island, but even if it only worked for a specific section at a time, it would be nice! Having to push and pull all of the items you want to place is so time consuming and tedious. (However, it does make all of the beautifully decorated islands that much more impressive! So there’s that!) Also… custom codes- I wish you could just save them without having to go into the custom design app and select where to put it because it makes that process time consuming too, if you’re trying to save multiple designs like for a path…. SPEAKING OF CUSTOM PATHS…. Can they PLEASE take away the feature where you can kick away the path anytime you press Y?? Anytime you’re trying to pick something up and you’re not right on top of it, you accidentally kick away a tile of your path 😫 at least make it to where you can lock the path. Or make it to where it’s only able to be kicked away if you’re using the construction app!! 😭 it’s an easy fix, but still just annoying and, really, not very necessary.
Two things I’d want: 1. The random ball that would spawn 2. Some events like splatfest that aren’t super often, but bring all the people together even could be somewhere all online players can go other than their island, something like that.
Your videos always bring back memories of when the game first came out and it makes me so happy!! I’m so excited for the next game, I’ve never loved a game as much as I do this one. It’s truly an amazing game and I can’t wait for what they do with the next one! (Let’s just hope it comes out soon!)
I only got the game last year, but before I did I was endlessly binging her content. I loved watching her get excited about the direct, deep dive into mechanics, talk about updates etc. One thing that made me sad though was I missed all of the hype and the excitement about the game, and I absolutely cannot wait to be able to join in for the next one.
I have a screen shot of the blue bear villager Kody saying while he was working at the clothing store on the vacation island that got a chuckle out of me. " Man, I'm on the fence about some of these clothes, Guess I'll check the price tags and see how fast I recoil..." That was funny.
It would be great if, along with giving all the villagers more personality, they selected like, 20% of them to give actual story quests to. Maybe these quests could include things like leaving the island, cut scenes, visiting other players together ect... ooh, the residents could have relationship metres with other residents! Maybe even date. You could play matchmaker. You could help them find jobs in the community. Or choose where they go on holiday (then they vanish for a week and maybe something interesting and unexpected happens when they are gone).
I am so afraid they are going to make the next one a decorating simulator and that’s it. Decorating is so popular and UA-cam just blew that up. I love decorating and I don’t want them to take any of that away- but, this is a life simulator first.
It has been decades since the 64 game. DECADES okay? Saying that, I need a way to pick up/harvest multiple items. Picking up fruit one at a time is very old now.
I don't like how the Fishing Tourney and Bug-Off play in New Horizons. I want to compete with my villagers for a trophy and see them actually catch things.
This is the big thing for me. I played New Leaf for the first time starting last July, and I happened to start the day before the Bug-Off - and when I found out you can actually lose to the villagers I _instantly_ fell in love. Though I do like the frenetic energy of the 3-minute version, if they bring back minigames that'll probably be covered in said minigames so we'd be fine on that front. Maybe they could have both types of contests in the next game - like some months Flick hosts it, you have the "catch as many bugs as possible" style of contest and earn some rewards that way, while other months Nat hosts it and you compete with your villagers to win an actual trophy. Or maybe roll the two into one - you earn points every time you turn in a bug and those points are what you exchange for furniture, but the trophy is earned based on the biggest bug submitted by each villager/player and you can still miss out on first. That way: - getting all the furniture still requires effort, but isn't unfairly difficult - you still have the fun of competing with the rest of yourr town, but - players who don't care about that aspect can still participate meaningfully in the Bug-Off.
I feel like I want too much but consistent updates would be great. I hate to refer to Fortnite, but they always switch up the map, decorations, and costumes for every holiday every single year. That way you're not experiencing the same exact holiday every year. But this would be more or less if Animal Crossing stuck to the console life of the new Nintendo system. But man it would be a lot easier to log in if you knew things were consistently changing.
They need to overhaul the DIY recipe card system. Back when I was actively playing, I was constantly debating whether to sell duplicate DIY recipes or keep them around in case someone needed it, so they'd clutter up my house. Even once they added the ability to put them into your house storage, they still just kind of take up space. My idea is simply to recognize that every other character is capable of writing down a DIY recipe onto a piece of paper, so why not the player? Just let the player buy blank DIY recipe cards they can copy any recipe they know onto, probably with some associated cost based on the recipe of the DIY itself (rarer ones would be more expensive). Alternatively, just let us buy duplicate DIY recipe cards of any that we know. Just anything that doesn't require keeping them indefinitely on the off chance someone needs them.
Similar to being able to craft multiple items at once, I wish they would let us buy multiple items at Able's. Give us a shopping cart or basket and let us fill it up and pay at the end of our purchase! I hate when they have a shirt I like in different colors and I have to go in and buy each one separately. Ugh!
I just want deeper villager interactions. Let them adapt to you so my Alfonso is different from your Alfonso. Oh, and make letters worth writing again!
Stuff I want in next Animal Crossing: Deep Sea Tourney, as well as a better tourney with things we had back in prior games like biggest fish or bugs, more interactions with villagers like bring some with me when visiting another island, and being able to buy another island where I can build and recruit more villagers. Also, equator and polar options on top of northern and Southern Hemisphere. And more than one island or area per console.
I think the next games NEEDS to be caught up with the previous at launch. We shouldn't have to be waiting around for months to do things that were in the previous games over a decade ago imo.
As annoying as it was to bring up Thonky and check every individual villager's coffee preference, I do miss the cafe side hustle from NL. If they removed the coffee preferences and just had you conversing with them at the bar with unique dialogue about their woes or something while Brewster's calming theme song played, I think that'd be cool. ^-^
I don't want more storyline, I played previous installments and it was a little taxing sometimes, and New Horizons game so many options beyond the story. I want us to keep making it our own. But more multiplayer functionality would be such a game changer. I'd love for jobs to do as part of the storyline to be mini quests... like you can work for the lighthouse or work for Brewster.... it can be a quest that you can accept or not that reoccurs the same way as other NPC visits work. If online was required to get to the next step or unlock stuff then they'd have to allow you to play online without the Nintendo Online account.... well not have to... but it'd feel like they were asking others to gift their friends online accounts. I'm in with 8 options for rotation. BUT we cannot expect a timely next game without a grid. So the delete the grid idea is really unlikely. and frankly deleting the grid system would make it more difficult for younger players which is still a grand part of the target Nintendo audience. It's not their fault that there's a conglomerate of adults have grown to love their games and take them to new heights. They are heavily still designing for children with adult enjoyment in mind. I also think some of us want the next one to be more of a game, like previous installments... and forget that this game got so many people that never played video games at all before to engage, because you were not pressured to keep completing and unlocking stuff. After a point you could just find your own way to build and do stuff, like Mindcraft without any combat element AT ALL. It satisfies a lost place in the gamer community for people that only played party games. Or those that tried cozy games with elements they liked and then felt a lot of pressure to complete something. I like a lot of cozy games for that. I also like a lot of popular games with good lengthy stories (I'm still determined to finish Red Dead Redemption II just to know how Arthur's story plays out since the first Red Dead Revolver I've been slogging through them whether they were good or not), but I also like ACNH because I've finished all the "objectives" and just get to create and use the internet to learn how to do what I want, or see what others have done. Freedom to build and goof off with zero consequences for getting it wrong or not being fast enough. I'd deeply prefer if they spent more time on the next game on fleshing out villager dialogue and personalities, and I want the personalities to not be gender specific. I want there to be more to them rather than get more gamer sense in the game. There are lots of games where you get to play through a game and get the gratification of completing pieces of the game. I want the next Animal Crossing to focus on increasing the intrigue of villagers and NPC (which the quests they provide could satisfy that "my game needs more gaming" issues) and broaden what we can do with design elements and world building. I'd also be down for a game where we didn't have just one island, you can build an empire of islands with different bio-dome conditions, or you can travel from place to play and help existing communities by solving problems and helping design a town that villagers move to.
I kinda wonder if the "take it slow, by force" part of the mechanics are intentional from a Japanese sensibility angle, like lots of the population there lives in overcrowded cities with very little free time away from work and very far from nature. Where AC games kinda provide a space where youre forced to relax, be ""in nature"" and have like either hyper control or take things as they come. It almost feels like adding intentional busy-ness almost detracts to the general feel and vibe of the games
i think I'd love to see more events and to have them actually be different. and it'd be really cool for the events to incorporate multiplayer too. also i know this will never happen because nintendo just isn't like this anymore, but having the ability to play old games through consoles was awesome. or just give me some cool minigames.
Honestly I think it’s biggest mistake looking back at it years later is that it was advertised wrong, it’s good at being a relaxing decorating game with alot of activities to do if you play everyday and take things slow- people have 800 hours on it and complain when they’re out of things to even though 800 hours is PLENTY of time to spend on a game and be done with it, it doesn’t need some insanely fun activity that’ll keep you playing for hours when the intended amount is like an hour a day or so, it’s popularity and comparisons to older games really ended up being it’s downfall 😅
I just want more!!! I loved it when I was collecting animals for my museum. I want more! More fish! More bugs! More sea creatures! I’d love to also see another category. Maybe birds? Since we see a lot of birds in Harvs island. Maybe a system where you can collect birds eggs and feathers. Or maybe small animals like reptiles and amphibians. What about setting small box traps and checking to see what’s in it? I dunno I’ve maybe watched too much living off the land tv shows 😂😂
imho i think the fact there's a storyline to begin with in NH is why i got so burnt out so fast, i was expecting more content and there was nothing there. as opposed to new leaf or wild world, which didn't really have that but i spent 10x more time on those two games than new horizons.
I still don't u deratand how there's no creative mode. I don't have the time to buy all the furniture I want manually, and nookazon is too expensive for me. Decorating the outside of an island one by one, without the design mode that is available indoors also makes it annoying. That's why my easily favorite part of the game was happy home paradise. I need to have a mode that is just liek it, except you don't need to unlock furniture as you progress, and it doesn't take around 15 minutes to get to. Also, lower the loading times. There is NO REASON for the title screen to take as long as it does to load.
I want to see a HUGE city we can visit and then live in a smaller town again. I loved all the customization of NH but I want customization to be PART of the whole game not for it to be the WHOLE game…
The issue with a story in animal crossing is that it gives the game a goal; an ending. Most of the other games use the tutorial as a story, but leave the rest to the player, and that improved longevity. Why do so many people feel Beta 1.7 is the best version of Minecraft? There isn’t a goal. Adding a dimension literally called the End gives the game a sense of finality
I mean, we load into splatoon then the netcode kicks us out when we're in a match, so we probably shouldn't ask for their netcode 👀 Plus, I know in the US we like to pretend covid is over, and I'm not gonna pretend I know how Japan is still dealing with it, but even if the disease itself was eradicated, there's still long lasting effects that may have changed studios forever. I hope they let us edit clothes like the new splatoon update. Wild that I don't have a backwards cap in acnh. Also, bat and capybara villagers please
This is why I hate that the game is just a sims type life sim the decorating and the looks of the villagers matter more it's not just dialogue there was something about being a nobody moving in instead of a mayor or island builder sometimes shit happens or you really work hard to get things and things where hard to come by now it just the worst kind of capitalism hell that it's never is satisfying when you get it and there's so much stuff it's all just pointless
I want an asshole guy. If you wander near him, he throws rocks at you, making you dizzy for a while, or pushing you into the water if he sees you fishing. Later when you go out exploring, e.g., a dangerous forest at night, he is attacked by a bear, and you have the option to save him or let him die. If you save him, he is not changing and still bullying you whenever he sees you in the town. Later on, when exploring a cave, you find him once again attacked by monsters. If you decide to save him, he once again doesn't change and continues to bully you. However, the third time he is saved by you again, he will finally apologize and redeems himself and reward you with rare items that he stole from other villagers. You can accept those gifts or refuse, or ask him to give these back to their owners or propose you'll do it yourself, etc. You get the idea. Each of these decisions will have different consequences on future events.
Very late to this but I highly disagree about the story part. The story in Acnh felt like a tutorial and I really don’t want a repeat of that in future games.
Great video! Hope Nintendo is listening. There are a lot of mechanics that they need to improve. It will probably be a looonnnngggg time before a new AC game comes out. Dinosaur! 😉
It can’t be mistake Actually Kora, I’m off to the turkey 🇹🇷 and I watched Gran Turismo Movie, if you don’t see this, checkout the movie online lineup, don’t worry, DVD will release in October.
Game needs more dinosaurs 🦕🦕 And alsoooo....I wanna be able to find dead villagers. Even if you call them on a phone to get a quick loading screen to meet them in front of their house or something.... anything is better than trolling through the museum to NOT find them
Nintendo shouldn’t improve on the next game they should fix the mess they have made with this game first it’s not impossible it’s an internet connected game if they can constantly update a mobile game version that only has a small amount who play it why not support your flagship console version which has sold them so many switches I will not be buying the next animal crossing game because i want to avoid getting burned a second time I feel animal crossing reached its peak with new leaf and new horizons was just put out to try and impress us which it did nintendo said they planned out this game but they didn’t they just got lazy because of the sales figures and are out of ideas rip to the animal crossing franchise

Did you play new leaf
They should’ve added the fog to Animal Crossing
The fog is coming.
What a plot twist that would have been lol

Talk to Dinos
Ride on Dinos
Eat the Dinos
Open the door
Get on the floor
Everybody walk the dinosaur

I dunno I’ve maybe watched too much living off the land tv shows 😂😂
I literally went out and bought a controller with a turbo button specifically to be able to bulk craft in ACNH.
Next animal crossing game? I feel like new horizons just came out 😮
2020 yeah
imho i think the fact there's a storyline to begin with in NH is why i got so burnt out so fast, i was expecting more content and there was nothing there. as opposed to new leaf or wild world, which didn't really have that but i spent 10x more time on those two games than new horizons.
I want better villagers and more stores. I know it is an island, but it felt pretty empty
I want the special npc's to be flushed out again, all of them had very interesting lore that is barely touched on nowadays
I mean, we load into splatoon then the netcode kicks us out when we're in a match, so we probably shouldn't ask for their netcode 👀
Plus, I know in the US we like to pretend covid is over, and I'm not gonna pretend I know how Japan is still dealing with it, but even if the disease itself was eradicated, there's still long lasting effects that may have changed studios forever.
I hope they let us edit clothes like the new splatoon update. Wild that I don't have a backwards cap in acnh. Also, bat and capybara villagers please
As long as breakable tools become a thing of the past in the next game I’ll be happy
Rewatching while waiting for more Animal Crossing news.
This is why I hate that the game is just a sims type life sim the decorating and the looks of the villagers matter more it's not just dialogue there was something about being a nobody moving in instead of a mayor or island builder sometimes shit happens or you really work hard to get things and things where hard to come by now it just the worst kind of capitalism hell that it's never is satisfying when you get it and there's so much stuff it's all just pointless
wobbledogs crossover
Dinosaur! 😉
Animal crossing new horizon is so much fun…. And such a bad game at the same time
It can’t be mistake
Actually Kora, I’m off to the turkey 🇹🇷 and I watched Gran Turismo Movie, if you don’t see this, checkout the movie online lineup, don’t worry, DVD will release in October.
Game needs more dinosaurs 🦕🦕
And alsoooo....I wanna be able to find dead villagers. Even if you call them on a phone to get a quick loading screen to meet them in front of their house or something.... anything is better than trolling through the museum to NOT find them
please keep making acnh videos!!! i love them!!! :D
I would rather a game take longer and have better mechanics then it take a shorter amount of time but be really boring
Dinosaur 🦕🦕🦕
you are so funny i love you so much!!
Wow I’ve never seen ur face before but ur beautiful :)
New videoooooo
no one is downloading toon blast.
