He carried the Lakers with 45 wins… And let’s be real put some respect on Kobe’s name
If you play ball and love the game, you will appreciate Kobe not just as a fan of the game, but as a person you inspire to become. All the media talks about is debating who is the greatest. What we forget is the spirit of gamesmanship, true competition, and mastery of the game in all angles. Kobe didn’t achieve the most statically. But to me as someone who loves to play ball, Kobe has mastered the game not just physically for this god given tools, but mentally. The unbreakable spirit and ultimate confidence is what makes him, in my eyes, the most fearsome basketball player. He is like Goku, he gets beat but doesn’t ever give up. He will power up through training no matter what it takes, he gets stronger. Kobe set the basketball standard for my generation.

@leohoutarou9980 03, 06 and 07 I agree with for sure. 09? Nah I gotta keep it 100, Chris Paul should've won MVP in 08 and 09. The Hornets are a bottom 10 team without him those years, was top 3 in PER both years while being the least physically gifted of those in the MVP discussion.

@quojo5757 That was literally the only reason Kobe didn't get it. They gave Joker the MVP in 20-21 and the Nuggets only won 3 more games than the 05-06 Lakers and Joker had way more talent around him than Kobe did even with Murray out that year.

Talk about carrying a franchise.
I remember this season like it was yesterday. I'm not a Laker fan but Kobe was the best show in the NBA this season and I couldn't help but tune in whenever I had the chance. The stuff he was doing was unbelievable.
There are so many games like the one at 3:40 where Kobe absolutely takes over in the 4th but isn't able to make the last shot, so these games get completely forgotten despite the insane amounts of heroics needed to even get LA close to striking distance in the first place.
Kobe’s 05-06 season adjusted to modern pace is 39.8ppg🔥 Making it the highest ppg in modern basketball history. Yes even ahead of Jordan’s adjusted 86-87 average. Kobe in his peak was absolutely unstoppable💯

This has to be the greatest scoring season ever considering the skills, high scoring games, carrying a poor team, and doing it in the mid 2000s where the pace and scoring was low and it was still a physical league. In my book, Kobe is the best ever with Jordan.

During this season, Kobe was the most feared player in the NBA. He was unequivocally the best player in the league. Not only was Kobe the most prolific scorer in the NBA, he was the best closer that season as he led the NBA in 2nd half scoring, and 4th quarter scoring.
this season hurts so bad. a thriller buzzer beater in game 4 with a chance for the first ever all LA playoff series, only to blow games 6 and 7, giving up a 3-1 lead in the process. all those scoring heroics from kobe, only for his team to crap their pants when they needed to step up most. some say kobe quit on his team, but he just did what he was told: to get his teammates involved and win as a group. unfort, the "group" was a bunch of YMCA rejects, Odom and Vujacic notwithstanding
This is what a bucket player plays like. Nothing fancy with his move just pure skill and mastered the fundamentals of basketball. He did not have the craziest athleticism like others yet he played the game by making it look so easy. That’s why regular players look up to him because he is the proof that you don’t need gifts and talents to play but hard work alone is enough.
Kobe was extremely athletic, he decided too use it when he NEEDED too. Not all the time. Basketball high HQ is lost in today's game only a few players have it now.
Well said my brother! Just saying that he did not have one of the craziest verticals when he began his career as Kobe mentioned in his interview but he had to work for it as his career goes on. We really saw how his athleticism improved largely tho but still he did not rely on it and managed to master the fundamentals and went on to be great for a long time.
I watched the whole video 2 hours straight. When I saw him standing at the line vs. Dallas at the beginning and watching him in the eyes, all of a sudden it struck me that he's not with us anymore. most skilled player oat
He's not more skilled than jordan
@@wangtang12 he definitely was.... had to have counters for everything because he couldn't abide by his athleticism all of the time
@Kozy_2kclips he wasn't. His stats says he wasn't the most skilled.
@@wangtang12his stats aren’t as good because he played better competition and his Achilles tear dropped his stats off the last couple years.
@GMQuay No. His his stats are not as because he was as effective or proficient player as jordan and was not as smart as jordan as a basketball player.
Kobe didn't play against better competition and his Achilles injury has nothing to do with how he performed during the prime of his career.
been meaning to watch this so im here..... hope i helped the john wall vid i watched more than half of it.... he was him
It’s crazy how his MVP got rigged that year. For me he was & still is the real MVP of 05/06 season
It's Going To Be 20 Years In 2025 Since We All Seen The 2005 - 2006 NBA Season I Feel So Old
without Kobe footwork there is no Basketball
Prime Kobe era
That pass @4:58 🔥
Kobe’s passing was so underrated!
Should have more than ONE REGULAR SEASON MVP
He should've got at least 3. (06, 08, 09. Maybe 03 also).
No he got the one deserved. Go back and study the mvp winners of those seasons
@@wangtang12 I studied this when it was actually happening. Nobody in their right mind believes Kobe only should've got 1 mvp, meanwhile Nash, Curry, and Giannis got 2 apiece, Jokic got 3, and lbj got 4 (including 2 on a superteam). That's illogical.
@melvinhhcp3615 It's not logical if you the know the history of the game.
Go study the mvps of those seasons. They were better than kobe during the regular season.
@@wangtang12 No they weren't. Garnett in 04 was correct. Dirk in 07 was correct. Nash in 05 was correct. 06, 08, and 09 should have went to Kobe for sure. Maybe 03 also.
Bodyguard this dude for at least 25 minutes at this time will be torched 98% of the time literally especially today’s NBA and you guys need to remember Kobe Bryant’s leg was hurting when he dropped 81 points. I heard it was in pain just not too bad.
