  • Magdalen College is arguably the most beautiful of the Oxford University Colleges. It is graced by wonderful gardens interlaced by the waters of the River Cherwell, a bell tower that is one of Oxford’s key landmarks, a stunning cloister, architecturally varied buildings, an exceptional chapel and dining room plus a deer park! Situated in the High Street next to Magdalen Bridge it is the epicentre of the May Day celebrations in Oxford and overlooks the Botanic Gardens. Many famous people have passed through Magdalen’s gates including: Oscar Wilde, CS Lewis, Erwin Schrodinger, Dudley Moore, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Martha Lane Fox, Ian Hislop and the King of Bhutan.
