  • Those who believe in fidelity to the narrative will love this clip. Frisco's in pain and therefore some of what he says is coming from that, but he gives us major insight into his character's decisions down the road. I believe Frisco was always fighting a dual nature: the Domestic Protector and the Fringe Hero. There were and are many points of crossover in those dual natures, of course. Frisco became unmoored with the death of his mother (as we'll soon learn), but the death of his father returns him to that desire to be aimless and feckless. Felicia is confounded by this talk--She's never seen this shade of him before. She's only known the guy without any real ambition who protected her, no questions asked.
Note Frisco has a small beard in the studio scene. We see foreshadowings of Asian Quarter Frisco and Back from the dead Frisco in those moments.

Due to death of parents Frisco becomes aimless and becomes self destructive to the point of pushing all career opportunities and all loved ones away. Frisco refused to listen to reason from ANYONE.
