My headcanon for Monty’s anger issues has always been that he never destroyed Bonnie, and never wanted to play in the band. Think about it, he originally played golf, a relatively quiet and calm sport, and he’s suddenly playing loud rock music in front of huge screaming crowds, neon colors, and bright lights. He’s not mad so much as having a breakdown from sensory overload.
One of the most bizarre and coolest things in the chapter 2 (daycare) is that when we turn on the generators, Gregory's voice appears saying that we are getting it and it's working and bla bla bla. This part is very bizarre but it's cool. I also thought the part about Roxy's voices crying after turning her off was pretty sad.
One thing I find odd is that despite being a key suspect. There's nothing to do with Monty in the AR world of Bonnie Bowl. Even Bonnie in Monty Golf (There's the ride, but that's the in universe cover up) There is a lot to do with Roxy. The plush, the giant bowling ball. I wonder if the Monty Vending machines turning into Roxy might not be Cassie disliking Monty and subconsciously changing it. Rather hinting that maybe Roxy is involved in Bonnies destruction. I think that not only is the AR showing Cassie what she wants to see (which I do believe is true in some cases) I think it’s also showing her what she remembers. I’m a firm believer in the theory that when the mask gets connected, it actually makes Cassie see things that aren’t there without the mask, which explains how we magically become able to walk through walls with this technology. But I think my best example of when it’s what she remembers, is actually in the Roxy Salon. With all the cutouts and scissors, I understand this very well could just be explaining Cassie’s connection to Gregory and Roxy, but it makes sense that in the place that would remind her of these feelings, that’s where she’s being shown what happened? Or how lots of ruined art becomes clean and rooms like sun and moon become tidy like they likely once were. If Cassie’s dad works/worked at the Pizzaplex, then it makes sense Cassie would have been there a lot to see it. Also, Chica's left leg disappeared because it's no longer functioned, just like her left arm. It's perhaps due to her being crushed while reaching for Gregory. It's impressed that she still able to walk and pick up Gregory with those broken limbs. "Less damaged", my socks! Roxy had less damaged in compare to Chica and Monty, and all four of her limbs are still functioned.
I would propably be used by the engineers and technicians operating the building. Maybe even by the interior decorators since there are so many decorations floating around too
Helpi says it's intended for use by Level 5 technicians. I interpreted this as meaning that a lot of the PizzaPlex is AR. Which actually explains a lot of things. How are there giant statues and how can you shoot golf balls so far in Monty Golf without them just falling to the floor and hitting someone and how can the Attendant just change color like that? All of this makes sense if the answer is that a lot of the PizzaPlex isn't REAL. And the decorations and general fantastical details in the Plex we see in SB are actually just AR to make things seem very magical to any guests. And the mask allows technicians to toggle the effects of the AR (seeing ones that are not in use or being able to see through effects that are turned on, etc) in order to do repairs. I would also guess that normal Fazbear employees likely don't have bunny masks, but when Vanessa was made a night gaurd / technician she probably got her hands on a normal one and modified it to look like a rabbit. Which also explains A LOT of what Vanny can do just popping up at random or seeming to teleport or being able to mess with the animatronics and Gregory's vision.
I think the pizzaplex is a giant system, not able to change stuff outside it but only inside it, being why it has wires and power sources everywhere and having eyes and weird sounds like breathing
I think what I hate the most (Aside from how little sense anything revolving around the mechanic makes) is how inconsistent the visuals are. What and how things get changed don't really follow any sort of artistic guidelines that you'd expect from a project like this. They didn't make an effort to establish any sort of visual queues that would normally be used to inform the player, which results in AR being a great big confusing mess (And not in the intentional way). It reeks of someone going "Hey this'd be cool" and then taking none of the steps required to make it actually work. EDIT: Also I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the more trivial things changed were the result of developmental oversights. Setting up two shots in the same scene is hard enough for things like cutscenes and animations. It's easy to loose or misorient a few props when you're trying to make two entirely separate maps parallel one another.
I think things like tje vending machine changing characters in AR are showing how Fazbear LLC uses the AR system. The chairs are actually Freddy, and the vending machines are actually Roxy but theyve been re-themed with AR instead of creating brand new ones. Theres a holographic shimmer over it hiding ahat it really is, which is used throughout all the pizzaplez.
about the things that change for roxanne's theme (frizz machines etc) may be because Cassie, when she puts on vanny's mask, the mask shows us a different way of seeing the world and changes depending on who is wearing it. As we know, if you wear the mask a lot, Mimic will control you, so it is possible that he is playing with his mind and feelings.
About 14:23 in, theres a voice along with chica's that says "dont worry, your safe with me" but i dont recognize the voice. Is it a distorted line from one of the characters or is it a whole new line from no character? Is it bonnie? It kinda sounds like funtime freddy or sundrop but im not sure
It might still be Chica; a lot of the voices repeat in deeper or warped tones for some reason (I noticed it mostly in the Daycare when Gregory's repeated "It hates the lights" played a few times really deep and I thought it was a different character but it was just distorted audio)
RUIN wanted us to get to know the bond between Roxy and Cassie alot more as the DLC went on, leading to that moment in Chapter 9,but hopefully we get to see more of Roxy and Cassie in the series, since it seems Cassie going forward might be the protagonist
I think the various eyeballs visible with the mask is a reference to the Eyesaur from a Fnaf fangame, since in the original game, we can see Ignited Freddy & Ignited Bonnie in a arcade.
The reason why all of Monty's stuff turn into Roxy's is because she was cassies fav bc she did cassies 11th birthday party. Roxy (before disablement) says that "This year all of ur friends will come" so roxy was the only person for cassie at her birthday, and thats why she feels remorse when she disasembles roxy but not monty
It makes a lot of sense why it gets ordered in sun and moons room and why its messy when you take off the mask. You know how tells you to clean up when you mess things up in the base game. Maybe moon messed things up.
Moon was also obsessed about order in base SB. Since he can get "distracted" the same way Sun does. But since he seemed to have lost his mind (I mean, more than normally), he may just left it abandonned while Sun was fully conscious in AR world.
Little theory: the pixel clumps in the MXES area are very likely broken security nodes. RyeToast made a video on it. Mimic probably destroyed them before it was trapped.
the breathing cable feels like all of the places that have additional info/function for the animatronic to work they get more and more inconsistent the deeper you get as they were tangled to make it hard for the animatronic to get out just imagine the me mess if half-monty managed to get out in that state, or foxy with her mind-state so in such a bad condition. beside, ofc, keeping mimic in the go-kart having the nightmare helpers in make sense. roxie ai was suffering back when the track was shut down, even with her need to win limited by work hours, and that it only increased after she lost sight
Totally awesome! I have a copy of Security Breach for Switch, but there’s no DLC Ruin copy for it yet, AFAIK. I’d love to try this out, my older brother has a PS4 copy of SB and downloaded Ruin.
There is a theory about Sun/Moon's bedroom: We saw how the switching system works: As one is controlling the body, the other stays in Vanny's space. Since Moon was the one controlling the body, at least for most of the time, be it because of the virus or the darkness, Sun stayed trapped in Vanny's system without being able to get out. So, maybe trying to pass the time, he organized his side of the bedroom. Moon, however, was still heavily infected by the virus, and never did the same on his side, creating this contrast between reality and their headspace (also Vanny's system), where Sun, almost powerless on the physical world, could at least have some kind of control over something. He also did draw the arrows and sketches all over the play structure (Moon obviously noticed and left his own messages to Sun, but clearly, not to the point of knowing what Sun was really doing, or he would have ripped the arrows and generators to pieces), so, Cassie would be able to find the generators faster than Gregory did.
Idk if people realize this but there's a lot of things that point to the PQ ending being the Canon ending in the dlc, the amount of details of the PQ 3 game in vanny's room is one of those things, that entire room has things with PQ things in it with the mask on, and earlier on in the video they mentioned how there's some parts of the map that make it look like the mysterious goo from the PQ games are around the map. Not only that, but there's comic slip pages that you can collect in the real world. They all show different parts of each ending, except the PQ ending. Also I'd like to mention that the PQ ending is the only 3 star ending in the entire base game, along with the fact that GREGORY LEGIT TOOK FREDDY'S HEAD- and ik ik that the Freddy bot has the word 'Prototype' on its foot, but who knows, it's possible that a worker that went there after the incident put it there and labeled the actual Freddy as Prototype because he legit doesn't have a head? Just smth to think about🥰
I am.pretty sure the "eyes" we see throughout are from the Princess Quest Game... They are clearly different from Roxy's (which there is a side-by-side comparison in game) They are most likely the Demon's from the Game, which all had 1 eyeball. You will notice in the Room with the PQ game & Sword, the Purple Energy is flowing Out of the Arcade Game... Meaning Gregory also released the Shadow-Glitchtrap from the game. Some think it is actually The Mimic... But i am nearly-sure it is the Original Afton. Who waa technically "trapped" in one of the Video Games....with the Old Man at the Lake heavily implying that the Video Game's are portals to "Purgatory". Which can also be referenced in the SB Dufflebags

i kinda doubt the nightmare staffbot heads is a coincidence or just odd in general i mean lets take example on what happened to roxy on that track as gregory. we had just put a repaired staffbot head on a headless driver something that played a role into shattering her i guess in a way the reason they have nightmare staffbot heads is due to what we had done to her.
Probably not. In the book, the Storyteller is described as a Baobab Tree which have a very VERY specific shape (I let you google it if you don’t know.) I was also big enough for multiple persons to enter it simultaneously and to have a giant Tiger head inside of it (yep, it sounds silly but that’s how it is in the book). It could be a reference however, or maybe the game’s equivalent of the Storyteller as the books and the games have similarities but remains different continuities.
With all the ar you can use one object and work on it for hours like, what is this part that looks like something related to gliching or other technology stuff or they could do something completely different with the textures instead of making pixels like you can spend probably a whole day bye I just doing two objects

Wait- could it be that secret room in the daycare is Cassie's room? Cassie always said the daycare, she got the best sleep AND next to the bed is a Roxy and Daycare Attendant Plushie. Two characters that Cassie ends up saving and also knew her birthday. I'll mention, Sun does call Cassie a new friend, like they've never met, same with Gregory. but that room is definately one if theirs.
Maybe Eclipse was always supposed to be the main personality. I mean, he is the calm, gentle yet responsible one. Far from Sun’s overdramatic persona (seeing him panicking when anything need to be cleaned would not be very reassuring to kids) and to Moon’s sinister one. In the end, Eclipse seems the best role for the Daycare « Attendant » as he is collected like Moon but benevolent like Sun. Also note that Eclipse is the one telling « Happy Birthday » to Cassie (even if it could just be a random thing he was programmed to say when meeting a child) wich could imply HE remembers her. Also, in the original game, we can find some notes saying that kids got traumatized by the Attendant. By Moon’s strict and threating behavior, yes, but also when « the lights were on ». Sun was not reassuring to kids, even if he was good-willed. So, I think that Eclipse was actually the main bot, he switch to Sun when he wanted to make a show (the books, even if not 100% canon, says Sun & Moon were originally actor-themed robots meant for a theater-like attraction. They where « modified » to fit the Attendant’s role later) and to Moon when everyone is asleep so he could do the « security patrolling » thing. However, when Vanny hacked the animatronics, Eclipse was put away, leaving only Sun and Moon who tried to accomodate Eclipse’s absence (but failed).
I feel like since the PizzaPlex is very similar to Disney Quest, which opened in 1998, i feel like Security Breach is set around that time and Ruin is probably set around 2000
I feel like this virtual reality is something with Princess Quest and Glitchtrap. I know that the Princess Quest is official, but what if somehow virtual and real world somehow was connected inside Pizzaplex? And maybe Glitchtrap is still alive somehow? Well she has a limp in that leg so it probably disconnected but still physically attached so it not shown in the AR world

I think what I hate the most (Aside from how little sense anything revolving around the mechanic makes) is how inconsistent the visuals are. What and how things get changed don't really follow any sort of artistic guidelines that you'd expect from a project like this. They didn't make an effort to establish any sort of visual queues that would normally be used to inform the player, which results in AR being a great big confusing mess (And not in the intentional way).
It reeks of someone going "Hey this'd be cool" and then taking none of the steps required to make it actually work.
EDIT: Also I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the more trivial things changed were the result of developmental oversights. Setting up two shots in the same scene is hard enough for things like cutscenes and animations. It's easy to loose or misorient a few props when you're trying to make two entirely separate maps parallel one another.
I think things like tje vending machine changing characters in AR are showing how Fazbear LLC uses the AR system. The chairs are actually Freddy, and the vending machines are actually Roxy but theyve been re-themed with AR instead of creating brand new ones. Theres a holographic shimmer over it hiding ahat it really is, which is used throughout all the pizzaplez.

about the things that change for roxanne's theme (frizz machines etc) may be because Cassie, when she puts on vanny's mask, the mask shows us a different way of seeing the world and changes depending on who is wearing it. As we know, if you wear the mask a lot, Mimic will control you, so it is possible that he is playing with his mind and feelings.
About 14:23 in, theres a voice along with chica's that says "dont worry, your safe with me" but i dont recognize the voice. Is it a distorted line from one of the characters or is it a whole new line from no character? Is it bonnie? It kinda sounds like funtime freddy or sundrop but im not sure

(I noticed it mostly in the Daycare when Gregory's repeated "It hates the lights" played a few times really deep and I thought it was a different character but it was just distorted audio)

RUIN wanted us to get to know the bond between Roxy and Cassie alot more as the DLC went on, leading to that moment in Chapter 9,but hopefully we get to see more of Roxy and Cassie in the series, since it seems Cassie going forward might be the protagonist

I think the various eyeballs visible with the mask is a reference to the Eyesaur from a Fnaf fangame, since in the original game, we can see Ignited Freddy & Ignited Bonnie in a arcade.

You forgot a change in The Broken Bonnie room. Bonnie's eyes glow in the ar world and turn off when the caution bots are deactivated.
The reason why all of Monty's stuff turn into Roxy's is because she was cassies fav bc she did cassies 11th birthday party. Roxy (before disablement) says that "This year all of ur friends will come" so roxy was the only person for cassie at her birthday, and thats why she feels remorse when she disasembles roxy but not monty
It makes a lot of sense why it gets ordered in sun and moons room and why its messy when you take off the mask. You know how tells you to clean up when you mess things up in the base game. Maybe moon messed things up.
Moon was also obsessed about order in base SB. Since he can get "distracted" the same way Sun does. But since he seemed to have lost his mind (I mean, more than normally), he may just left it abandonned while Sun was fully conscious in AR world.
The breathing effect on things is really disgusting, and lets you know how much effort Steel Wool really put into RUIN.
Little theory: the pixel clumps in the MXES area are very likely broken security nodes. RyeToast made a video on it. Mimic probably destroyed them before it was trapped.

Totally awesome! I have a copy of Security Breach for Switch, but there’s no DLC Ruin copy for it yet, AFAIK. I’d love to try this out, my older brother has a PS4 copy of SB and downloaded Ruin.
I have the Xbox version of it... Hopefully the DLC Will come out for Switch and Xbox later on in the Year... Or maybe early next Year

The fact that you see so many EYES in Roxy salon...
There is a theory about Sun/Moon's bedroom: We saw how the switching system works: As one is controlling the body, the other stays in Vanny's space. Since Moon was the one controlling the body, at least for most of the time, be it because of the virus or the darkness, Sun stayed trapped in Vanny's system without being able to get out. So, maybe trying to pass the time, he organized his side of the bedroom. Moon, however, was still heavily infected by the virus, and never did the same on his side, creating this contrast between reality and their headspace (also Vanny's system), where Sun, almost powerless on the physical world, could at least have some kind of control over something. He also did draw the arrows and sketches all over the play structure (Moon obviously noticed and left his own messages to Sun, but clearly, not to the point of knowing what Sun was really doing, or he would have ripped the arrows and generators to pieces), so, Cassie would be able to find the generators faster than Gregory did.
Idk if people realize this but there's a lot of things that point to the PQ ending being the Canon ending in the dlc, the amount of details of the PQ 3 game in vanny's room is one of those things, that entire room has things with PQ things in it with the mask on, and earlier on in the video they mentioned how there's some parts of the map that make it look like the mysterious goo from the PQ games are around the map.
Not only that, but there's comic slip pages that you can collect in the real world. They all show different parts of each ending, except the PQ ending.
Also I'd like to mention that the PQ ending is the only 3 star ending in the entire base game, along with the fact that GREGORY LEGIT TOOK FREDDY'S HEAD- and ik ik that the Freddy bot has the word 'Prototype' on its foot, but who knows, it's possible that a worker that went there after the incident put it there and labeled the actual Freddy as Prototype because he legit doesn't have a head?

I am.pretty sure the "eyes" we see throughout are from the Princess Quest Game... They are clearly different from Roxy's (which there is a side-by-side comparison in game)
They are most likely the Demon's from the Game, which all had 1 eyeball. You will notice in the Room with the PQ game & Sword, the Purple Energy is flowing Out of the Arcade Game... Meaning Gregory also released the Shadow-Glitchtrap from the game.
Some think it is actually The Mimic... But i am nearly-sure it is the Original Afton. Who waa technically "trapped" in one of the Video Games....with the Old Man at the Lake heavily implying that the Video Game's are portals to "Purgatory".

i kinda doubt the nightmare staffbot heads is a coincidence or just odd in general i mean lets take example on what happened to roxy on that track as gregory. we had just put a repaired staffbot head on a headless driver something that played a role into shattering her i guess in a way the reason they have nightmare staffbot heads is due to what we had done to her.

Probably not. In the book, the Storyteller is described as a Baobab Tree which have a very VERY specific shape (I let you google it if you don’t know.) I was also big enough for multiple persons to enter it simultaneously and to have a giant Tiger head inside of it (yep, it sounds silly but that’s how it is in the book).
It could be a reference however, or maybe the game’s equivalent of the Storyteller as the books and the games have similarities but remains different continuities.

Wait- could it be that secret room in the daycare is Cassie's room? Cassie always said the daycare, she got the best sleep AND next to the bed is a Roxy and Daycare Attendant Plushie. Two characters that Cassie ends up saving and also knew her birthday.
I'll mention, Sun does call Cassie a new friend, like they've never met, same with Gregory.

Maybe Eclipse was always supposed to be the main personality. I mean, he is the calm, gentle yet responsible one. Far from Sun’s overdramatic persona (seeing him panicking when anything need to be cleaned would not be very reassuring to kids) and to Moon’s sinister one.
In the end, Eclipse seems the best role for the Daycare « Attendant » as he is collected like Moon but benevolent like Sun.
Also note that Eclipse is the one telling « Happy Birthday » to Cassie (even if it could just be a random thing he was programmed to say when meeting a child) wich could imply HE remembers her.
Also, in the original game, we can find some notes saying that kids got traumatized by the Attendant. By Moon’s strict and threating behavior, yes, but also when « the lights were on ». Sun was not reassuring to kids, even if he was good-willed.
So, I think that Eclipse was actually the main bot, he switch to Sun when he wanted to make a show (the books, even if not 100% canon, says Sun & Moon were originally actor-themed robots meant for a theater-like attraction. They where « modified » to fit the Attendant’s role later) and to Moon when everyone is asleep so he could do the « security patrolling » thing.
However, when Vanny hacked the animatronics, Eclipse was put away, leaving only Sun and Moon who tried to accomodate Eclipse’s absence (but failed).
