Dino Harrison try closer to the 1097 bridge, bigger monsters there. Also generally, bigger the lure means bigger catch. At least it's been that way for me.

I live on a pretty open lake. I live on the channel part that's about 600 to 700 feet long. Then It connects into the bigger part, and then it goes at least 2 miles down a long strip of water. The lake connects to at least 6 other lakes. Along where I live, the channel, it's mostly catails all around. There are also little boating shelters. Im confused to where as they will be. As it being 60 degrees since friday to wednesday. I don't what to use.

Hello. I have a question. About 3 weeks ago, the water has unfrozen here
in Plymouth Indiana. The water temp is still below 50 degrees. I need
to know what to use tomorrow. The temps from tomorrow to Wednesday are
going to be 60 degrees. I know last year, in my backyard, I can just
walk out and fish where 6 lakes connect together. In february, last
year, I caught a 7 lb, 21 inch bass. On a spin off jerk bait. I have no
clue what to use. Anything I use, doesn't work.

Catfish Mania I live in NorthEast Indiana and I went fishing yesturday and tried for 2 1/2 hours with no bites....I think the water is still a little too cold. Going to try again tuesday hoping the water temp goes up a few degrees. Baits tried. Senko, jerk bait, small craw jig, med craw jig, square bill crank bait, spinner bait, chatter bait, swimbait , and a inline spinner.

The rule oh thumb is, if you want to catch a big fish only, you may need to switch to larger baits, like 6-8-10 inch swim baits. This way you eliminate the "smaller" fish. Of course, you won't get much excitement as you got with the regular size baits, but when your bait will taken, you know that it will be a monster.

    • @trevorkraker192

isaiah dodson not LFG but if they stock it with shad, youre going to want to match shad. so something like swimbaits, spinnerbaits, chatterbait, swimjig. basically anything that looks like the shad the bass are eating.

    • @christianowens9474

I could give you a tip. What you need is a jerk-bait. The bass are starting to move now, and want an easier bait to attack. Last year, I caught a 21 inch, 7 lb bass. Just right out my back door. I cast it out, jerk the lure 3 times, stop, and repeat.

  • @Ces999919822
    @Ces999919822 2 роки тому

I caught a 4.2 pound large mouth today. Obviously we’re not in spawn but, this bass came out of the water bleeding profusely from its tail. Any ideas on what would cause this? The only thing I can think of is that I caught it in shallow water, so maybe it hit something in the water during its fight while reeling him in. The only other thing I can think of but, I don’t think this happened but, I had to go from one side of the boat to the other and from front to the back, maybe he hit the prop. The prop was off and I don’t think this is the case but, I’ve never had one come out of the water bleeding like this. It was hooked by the lip, so no deep hook or anything like that. I put the fish tail as my profile picture if anyone wants to look at it.
Could he have hit a stump or rock hard enough to do something like this?
    Any other ideas?

Not a problem sir....we moved up to Tn a few years ago from metro Atlanta, Ga area....we had our boat on one of the busiest lakes in the country. So glad to be in an area that isnt as congested. We keep our boat over on Cherokee Lake....it has houses but nothing like where we came from. Not familiar with Lake Conroe but I bet the north end of lake is wonderful....thanks again for the reply sir....

outdoorsnga yeah lake Conroe is really congested but there are still a few boat launches up on the north end that can still be pretty tranquil and less populated. Hopefully it never gets developed, since it is national Forest land hopefully it stays that way. And I'm sure Tennessee is great! It's always good to get out of huge population centers.

I do not like fishing this lake either. Last time I was on a ski boat cut right in front of me and the person skiing got dumped. It was a miracle I didn't run him over. He was so close I couldn't see him from the driver's seat.
