ok lets be real. no one and i mean no one comes close to San and Seonghwa. by far the best performers of this generation. its not only the facial expressions, its the passion, the emotions, the dedication. two completely different styles. the one more fierce and the other more ethereal. they have it all and they are masters at it. each performance feels different and they always offer somerhing different. i cant get enough of this duo. p.s. the split seconds changes on Seonghwas eyes during his center part is just immaculate. idols need to take notes.
They really are, Sanhwa are really the most powerful duo out there. And on stage their facial expressions are on another level, I would say the demon line, adding Hongjoong as well, are untouchable in that field. Yes things like expressions can be improved but you can see when they feel forced and when they come natural to the idol and for these three, they act so natural and you can tell they are feeling in the first place every single emotion they want to convey
What I love about both is they don't use expressions just for the sake of it or because is cool...they create characters and stories based on the vibe of the song and the expressions are used as a tool for that. Both talked about their creative process behind their stages and is really interesting to see that from idols. That type of methods are used in acting.

What they don’t understand is that having good facial expressions does not mean making an angry face for 3 minutes or a smirk or a putting your tongue out in an attempt to look sexy. For all these things you can tell when they come natural to the idol and when they feel forced and the idol is just doing it to leave some kind of impression. Sanhwa talk about the story they’re trying to portray, they focus on every detail, their expressions are not repetitive and are consistent for the whole performance, they have a wide variety of expressions and in the same performance they shows different emotions. They’re on another level and the demon line was created to emphasize this.

I started stanning Ateez towards the end of 2022, and I’m so happy to be able to ring in the new year with them. Believe me I have stanned many many groups over the years, and Ateez is such a treasure. They have amazing stage presence, chemistry with each other, and my appreciation for them just keeps growing!
