Bears will have a developmental center and it won’t be drafting him. Brett Neilon will be a UDFA signing he played for USC in 2022 before he got injured in the PAC 12 championship game. He was one of the best college centers the past few seasons. He was at Caleb’s pro day working out to show what he’s got.
I think if any of the top 3 receivers, turner, or alt are there at 9 you gotta take ‘em

Don’t trade down draft the best player available
MHJ for sure. He's a rare generational talent. Giving up draft capital to get him is well worth it!
You should do a split screen analysis showing Caleb and his WRs to confirm or deny his ability to throw with anticipation.
Trade 5 was the best option 2nd round adisa isaac is an amazing edge rusher. Its the least “sexy” of the options but its the smart move.
Reddick is a huge upgrade over our 2nd passrusher position. But Bears are already short on draft picks.

Trade ideas 1... and 5... idea 1 would solve the Bears edge problem... 5 would solve our center and oLine problems plus we'd have a 2nd to grab the young WR to grow and be ready to take over when Allen steps back... and we'd Really could do both
2 picks to move up to 9 from 19 but 1 2nd pick to move up to 5 from 9 sure makes sense...

This year there are not too many good edge and DT, but have a deep class at WR OL QB . So I would trade down to get great one at WR OL and good ones at DL . But next year we can go for a great DL player. So we will set for at least 3 years to not have too many holes. Which then we can go bold for a championship difference maker in free agency.

We are drafting a DE at 9. I want Odunze but we aren’t doing it even if he falls. Or LT or C. We have a massive opening on statistically the worst pass rush, even with sweat, in the entire NFL. Turner is probably gone, so it’s gonna be Verse.
Verse has a more NFL size compared to the other two guys and the fire.

The ninth pick will have either one of the top 3 receivers, one of the top 3 OL, or the top DL choice. Maybe more than one of those. I would take whichever of those is there at 9.
3 best options in order
1. Trade up to 5 or 6. Take Malik. Malik > mhj. Mhj is solid. He’s not as good as malik
2. Trade back from 9 to 12 to draft Brian Thomas… get an extra 3rd. Brian Thomas is a rare talent who is physically superior to mhj but not as refined and alpha as nabers. Getting value for taking Thomas vs giving value to take mhj is smart business. And he’s actually the type of WR they need. Tall WR who can put the fear of God in a defense while Keenan and DJ carve you apart underneath
3. Trade back and take laitu. Provably get better value than Thomas trade. Laitu is a very refined pass rusher who blends right in. Imo i would trade back. And if Thomas isn’t there I take laitu.
Dallas and joe Alt at 9 are fine options too. But first off I don’t think they are gonna be there. And second I really would prefer to give Caleb as much high end weapons as possible.

Trading for reddick with a 1st round pick swap and then taking BPA w eagles pick (Brian thomas Jr, Jackson Powers, Byron Murphy, Fuaga, etc) would be a dream scenario imo.

I’d trade Braxton he is a starting level left tackle and that’s valued in the nfl and you can probably make a team overpay although I wouldn’t draft a left tackle Braxton’s not gonna be an all pro. You’re right, but at the very least, he’s above average at his position, and we have other positions where we don’t have above average players. I would just rather draft Dallas Turner, or whatever receiver falls to us.

MHJ is going to want the ball more than any wr, rb or te so go with Nabers or it will be an Randy Moss problem which is a good problem but DJ Moore wants 1k

He’s not even significantly better then Brian Thomas. He’s actually got less physical ability and was less productive this year albeit with a worse QB.
Marvin as you said is a great player but by watching tape I see more rare talents in the draft for better price tags

Trade #1 to Washington for #2 pick receiving a first rd pick next yr plus draft capital in this yr draft then trade #2 to New England for #3 pick also getting their first round pick next yr with more draft capitalthis yr. That gives us 5 first rd pick in 2 yrs. Trade pick # nine this yr and a future first round pick next yr with a future third rounder to Dallas for Dak Prescott. Super Bowl contender this year and yrs to come

I would trade Reddick for the third rounder. Then at 9 I would trade down with the Rams and grab either Byron Murphy or Braden Fiske. And then use that 2nd round pick on either Corley or Wilson at WR. Don't trade any of next years draft picks....they will be very valuable.
