John stormcloud it’s principal, it was a working feature in previous generations and in my NCAA Dynasty it happens frequently. +Creativehasnothing4U Cgrist You keep bringing up NCAA. No one gives a fuck about that game. Madden 09 has more current players. NCAA had challenges. But it's also one of the most broken football games ever. You learn three plays out of the 30 that literally can't be defended against and you win.
I think A really cool thing to do for scouting is utilizing the simulation engine to create "film" for the players in the draft. I think you can still use scouting points but and still use the system of 3 stats. But, you should also be able to look at "film", or simulated plays and highlights for the player to scout out strengths, weaknesses, and inconsistencies. I feel like this would improve scouting to make it harder to judge, more in depth, and more rewarding to look at the tape of a fifth round player and say that he's going to be a stud, then drafting him and making that come true not because of his specific stats and grades, but the things numbers can't exactly show.
The bad for me: 1. players have no boundary awareness. The elite possession receivers hardly ever drag or tap toes to stay in bounds especially in the back of the endzone. Even with sideline catch trait. 2. Speaking of traits, you cannot upgrade or change them without editing the player. 3. QB scrambling is very broken. Any qb can march up the field for at least ten yards before any defender reacts to them. You can send all your wrs to one side and simply scramble to the other for easy first downs or better.
Andrew Robbins 1) use posession catch, you're using an excuse. 2) he showed in the video upgrading field general for lamar jackson, he is a mobile archetype
Video_Critic I’m talking about traits like development, throws tight spiral, etc. And possession archetype wr’s don’t toe tap or drag with possession catching. Period.
Andrew Robbins then you are either not pressing it in time or not pressing it at all despite whether or not you think you are. That also is part of the catching rating in general. That also ties into spectacular catch.
Andrew Robbins and I see what you mean by those traits. Maybe it is rare to obtain a trait upgrade. Or they will patch it in. I can agree that trait upgrades are necessary. If not, I guess those traits become more and more valuable adding challenge to franchise, which is not bad at all.
Possession catch works. Gotta hold it in and if you throw late, it's your fault. Tip on mobile QBs: QB contain the line and Spy a DE. The contain will force him to roll out to the side of the spy. If he takes off, click in right stick and send him in for a sack. Spend money on a decent D-line. Doesn't have to be crazy, just mobile. Switch it up the spies on the line to mix it up and add in blitzes and you will terrorize mobile QBs
Yeah dude running is so damn hard. I hate it because I love to run the ball. I think this game is harder all around. Hell I started my season on Pro and I was throwing more picks than TDs! Which is very realistic considering I use my Titans LMAO. The CPU will punish you I'd say 80% of the time for making stupid throws. My problem is my timing. I'm either too early or too late. It's hard to find that sweet spot with the damn defense barreling down on my QB. I don't think I've completed a pass while being blitzed yet. I wish the damn skills tutorial was more thorough in it's explanations. I've never been very good at Madden and I haven't played since Madden 25. So I was going through the skills tut and I had to fucking rage quit. The vague ass descriptions of what to do and then when you get it wrong it doesn't explain what you did wrong. I got to the tackling tut where it was trying to teach me a strafe speed burst tackle I think it was called and I could not get it. And rather than explain what I was doing wrong it just tells me to try again. Like WTF. I am enjoying the game overall though. Playing on PC in 4k HDR is amazing. So glad EA released Madden on PC this year, it's the only reason I bought it. Hell I had to turn the difficulty down to rookie though LMAO. I was still winning every game but I got to game 3 of my Titans season and the Jaguars picked me off FOUR times! I would have lost that game too if I hadn't deleted it and restarted it on rookie. I don't play Madden to be challenged too much. I play Madden to have the Titans season of my dreams! I'm going to have to put it back up to at least pro soon though. Rookie is too easy but pro was too hard for me. That's why I was doing the skills tutorials to get better. I did learn quite a bit though. Just the different throws and catches will make a world of difference in my game. Before I was pretty much always using the bullet pass and not using the catch options at all. So that alone should cut down on the INTs using those in certain situations.
Round Earth Shill - I respect your situation and read your whole post. Trust me when I say that once you get a better hang of the game and understand more about football, the game will become way too easy for you and often frustrate you with how basic and easy it is. If you want to get better at running the ball, then one big step is to use a ZONE run scheme and learn your reads as a HB. I can help you later in other posts if you want. In the passing game, you really need to learn a few basic concepts to take advantage of and just practice them. For starters, you need to identify what you problems against, be it man or zone, and then find the formations and concepts which attack those. There is no single best scheme, but rather many good schemes that you can use, and everyone has a different preference. I just happen to lile the West Coast offense, but if your prefer another, there are ways to execute them too. Look, getting better at offense is getting good at a few key plays, especially plays which are tied together, and just use them in rotation to keep from being predictable.
@@tr1ckstv253 The recruiting is really fun, a lot less animations, you can make your own team with builder (if it's still up), and some other small stuff. Graphics definitely aren't great but I like the college teams, atmosphere, and setup so much more than NFL.
@@dylanthevillain1666 I prefer NCAA for the same reasons. The ONLY reason I might get Madden 19 is to play in the Mercedes Benz Arena. I miss all the NCAA games.
@@pwcorgi2000 I got madden 19 for Christmas and played it for a while just cuz it was a gift then went back to NCAA. Maybe I just suck but I hate the new running system or mechanic
Everyone loves to blame EA, but is it really EA’s fault that they realize they have a cult of loyal followers who will buy the game every year and spend millions on MUT? why change a successful business model? If you want real change stop buying the game. EA won’t do shit til it hits them in the pockets
I can’t believe ppl are still buying these roster updates. NFL 2K5 or All Pro Football 2K8 is where it’s at. Old games but still far more fun to play, and feels like real football too.
Elliot Rodger How does that Kool-Aid taste man? Madden hasn’t been good since 05, interestingly enough that’s the last time they had a competitor 😜 Madden 12 was decent and Madden 25 simply for the Legends.
Sandman Stop talking about the game if you dont know anything about it. Just within the last 4 years they have overhauled their passing, running, and receiving controls and mechanics. These games aren't the same. We finally have a legitimate Story mode. The only Kool aid being drunk here is by people that dedicate more time to hating EA games than playing other video games
After getting to play it, I would say - Pass. Especially if you have Madden 18. The only "good" madden to have been released recently was 11. Before that, probably Madden 06/07. This game is bad, the running is well done, but D lines "win" so often its sick. Then there is the "drop" issue. You can hit a guy wide open and 50% of the time it just bounces off of his helmet/back, like you never even threw the ball to him(like the input isn't there in the game, might be an easy fix). The draft class thing is REALLY cool, I enjoyed having control like that. I just don't think its worth the 60$ i paid and why I rarely buy Madden new anymore.
Play against a friend, it’s 100% luck based. You touched on the defensive backs battling with the receiver, but it’s a coin toss no matter the stats on the receiver or the db.
Rivval your probably just not good because even last year if you just went for the swat and your corner was in position the wr would never get the ball. Now if you go for the interception which I bet you do it is a 50/50 which most jump balls are in the nfl
offstreet edits my point is that, if Antonio brown is 1 on 1 with some no name corner back, he is likely to not catch it. Which in madden 18 Antonio brown would either burn him and be wide open or he would catch the ball on a 50/50.
offstreet edits or same goes for a db, jalen Ramsay 1 on 1 with a no name receiver, you would think he would lock him down, but IN MY EXPERIENCE (key words) he could still get beat on the route, or lose the 50/50.
Rivval From my experience on madden 18 I thought it was pretty realistic. Hitting a deep pass in the NFL is hard and it translates in the NFL. The biggest issue I have is that every corner plays the same and the overall doesn't matter. Not many people knew but Bryce Callahan was a glitch. I had him as my nickel corner and he made the most plays out of anyone at 80 overall. He would get a interception almost every game against a 90+ overall team. So I agree no names shouldn't be able to compete with Browns or Odells but it wasnt terrible in 18.
"A lot of these problems could be fixed with sliders" Uhhhhh, have you paid attention to how ineffective sliders are at fixing these problems to begin with? Also, it's disappointing to see the same old morphing, warping, and ice skating despite so many promises of these issues getting fixed. #Save65
MIGGYME1 the Longshot is trash because it’s short and has a linear story, MUT is a waste of time, Franchise gets boring after you’ve rebuilt teams and gameplay mechanics are trash
The Legendary Gamer13 See but its been really bad since 16. Play with the Jags a ton and Bortles IRL is a great scrambler and rarely fumbles the ball but in game if anyone touches him or you dive for extra yardage you instantly fumble.
If it takes having less graphics, to get better player movement and control. GIVE ME BETTER PLAYER MOVEMENT AND CONTROL....graphics can come later. Anybody agree?
You know EA is desperate when they release madden 19 on pc. thats just gonna lead to the game getting cracked and people modding the game so that u can update the roster every year. he he. The time is now bois.
must be new to the madden franchise madden has always be on pc and console. when donny moore took over as lead designer and stopped producing it for the PC crowd. Glad he retired he should have been fired back in 2010. www.polygon.com/e3/2018/6/9/17441146/madden-nfl-19-pc-launch-date
What you said about the terrible blocking on the run. This year you can't hold L2 or LT for turbo soon as you hike the ball because the DL will blockshedd two fast if you do. you got to just run with the left stick and then if you find a hold then press the turbo.
It's still really bad, but thats a slider issue. I've rarely been a "hold speed burst out the gate" kinda guy for the last few Maddens....the fact is my 85+ OL can hold blocks against anyone from Aaron Donald to an entire DL of punters.
Just as an FYI, the madden developers say that the All-Pro setting is the simulation. All-Madden setting makes the CPU players play way above their head. If you want realism, adjust the sliders for All-Pro. I found that out last year & it did make the game a lot more realistic to my surprise.
In 2k when u have a draft class get imported u have an option to get player stories which basically can hive dudes bad injury tendancies or make them like not have good potential or change their overall by like 1 to 5 points
This one is a longshot on scouting, but with the initial scouting maybe give the ability to give players a rating on your own and get 3 short clips of their best skills instead of just seeing it right off. So for a Wide receiver you'll see him get physical and jump over the receiver for a great catch and that's a high spec catch, or a running back attempts to run someone over and gets brought down for low trucking. I think this could incorporate certain things like speed as well, so you'll see that that have certain physical traits that will be quantified in the combine. I know this has some flaws, but could possibly add a little bit more substance to the scouting. Or even for multiplayer give the option to change it to old scouting so it doesn't use so much extra time
I havent purchased a new Madden since 2013 (1998-2013 every year) and was seriously thinking of buying this years. As someone who played a lot of franchise mode, I just dont see enough changes to scouting and FA to make it worth it. Part of the fun is discovering and growing talent as well as throwing big money at FA. Now it just seems like easy bets to who will be good in scouting and throwing mass amounts of cash in FA.
That's about where I landed rating wise too. Also were you playing more on All-Madden or All-Pro. I immediately dunked my head into all Madden because the sooner I figured out All-Madden sliders the better I figure, it would be. I agree with basically all of your points. Run Blocking on the user side needs improvement, you can get that with sliders but I feel like it would be beneficial to the base game. (Note: supposedly a Patch fixed this but I've yet to check.) I mean I'm a Jags fan, we led the league in rushing, but in both All-Pro and All-Madden my O-line got blocksheded every time especially in power formations like I Form, Strong, and Weak. There is still some AI Issues I had a play today where in Cover 2 my Middle Read vacated his area for no reason to cover a guy already covered by the Vert Hook, leaving another receiver Wide Open for a touchdown. I feel like it could go one of two ways: they could polish out the kinks and potentially make it one of the best Maddens ever, or they can horribly break something and have it become worse. Only time will tell.
I think it's sad when everyone talk about everything in Madden but no one talked about the penalties no holding no face mask no pass interference where is it especially in multiplayer online non existing
troy seay Multiplayer has fewer penalties and less luck, since it's always on Competitive. So in multiplayer, it's your skill with the controller that determines wins and losses.
I actually miss the old draft classes. The players had actual faces rather than cg generated ones, and announcers actually knew the names of the new rookies. I'm frustrated they went away from this.
How can you talk about graphics being good, when you look at the sidelines and see the TERRIBLE player models? You talked about better immersion, yet that's a perfect example of how Madden continues to neglect immersion, and details.
I, personally, think we need a scouting system kinda like Head Coach 09 where you send your scout to big time schools, middle schools and small schools per position. Then you need to send scouts to the senior bowl, pro days, etc. I personally feel like that was a good scouting system and you couldn't scout everybody and there mom
Literally couldn’t even tell if the gameplay was madden 18 or 19... just repackaging the same game with an update that should’ve been stuck in 18. ;-; but ill still buy it
I am buying since it is on PC again. I have been playing the 10 hour trial since I haven't played in forever. I have had fun in the trial and feel I will get my money's worth.
Great review man!!!! I know it's late in the year but i'm grabbing this game soon, i just did a used build, I5 2500K, Samsung SSD, 8 GB, i'm just saving for the GTX 1050ti but it's gotta be low profile. Hard to find on the used market for a good price.
You talk a lot about copy/pasting from Madden 18. So, we're not going to talk about how they've been using the same tackle animations for years? There are literally zero new tackle animations in Madden 19.
Not even true. I've seen several new tackle animations in various videos posted from several different users. Hit stick tackles got many many new animations.
Kris Hopson .... Bad player animations, movements, horrible motion capture, players don’t cut naturally when running or tackle naturally, you feel like you get sucked into an animations when tackling rather than a natural feel like the older Madden games from the PS2 day’s ...
On the PC it was worth it because we have not had a new Madden game since Madden 08. Madden 08 was a great version. It had a play editor, let you choose hot routes, formations shifts, and audibles. If Madden 19 had these things then I would think it was a great game. I hope some modders figure out how to make them.
The amount of injuries that occur during a game are ridiculous. Just about every other play someone is getting injured. It's always a key player and its rarely ever a minor injury. Hopefully that's fixed next year.
Only reason I played Madden was franchise mode, mainly to upload my NCAA draft classes from NCAA games ... when they make another NCAA game I might jump back into it...
How’s the camera when you’re playing with a defensive player in franchise mode? Is it from the usual (behind the quarterback) view, or from behind your defensive player?
Okay some questions for those that have played it. 1) does Madden have accelerated clock option? 2) Watch only ( Owner) call plays only ( Coach) modes 3) can you watch other games other then your teams? other versions you couldn't even watch playoff games unless your team was in it.and last 4) are the stats realistic? I have not played madden since its last pc version. Thanks all
yo i havent played madden since 16 and im looking into getting this since i have nothing else to play since nba, fifa, and nhl are all still a month away from release and all the 18 games are boring now. should i buy this just as a refresher/game to play when bored of everything else? and btw i have a pc so this wont be my main game so it doesnt have to be super addicting and playable for hours straight every day just something to casually play with friends when bored
I like the archetypes much better because it upgrades your players more realistically. In Madden 18, you basically just spam upgraded Awareness or Play Rec (and a few others for WRs and RBs, but most players increase an absurd amount for really cheap awareness and play rec upgrades) to cheese increase player overall for Simulation, now you actually upgrade Slot receiving for your slot receiver, upgrade your QB based on their real play styles, etc. Edit: To be fair, the Redskins are known for ridiculously overpaying in free agency, but the Dolphins never do jack shit in FA, so idk what that is about, at least change it based on who spent a lot this offseason like the bears, and have teams like the rams go all in for trade block targets
Just got mine yesterday. As a person who loves to run the football, the running game really frustrates me (the run blocking as stated in the video) and I would've liked a little more from franchise mode but I'm enjoying the game so far.
Does the CPU ever go for it on 4th down in madden 19? In precious maddens they never go for it unless it’s the fourth quarter. I want to see teams like the eagles make risky, game changing calls like in real life
Ryley Opielski Hope but honestly I doubt it. It is kinda like something i hate which is when the CPU always knows when you are doing an onside kick. Such as first kick off of the game and you decide to onside kick the CPU just knows o ya the teams going to do a onside kick on the first play. Like really how would they know everytime...
Bro. I swear the cpu block shed is OP. It’s very hard to run the ball effectively. The best I have done on all madden difficulty is 106 yards on 32 carries which is trash. I’ve played about 15 games so far. Edit: usually I get about 60 yards on 20 carries or so
Im getting Madden for PC because Mods! Alot of people’s problems will be fixed with mods. Gear, Mouthpieces, Scoreboard, Fields and hell with PC theres alot more power for Different helmets for the Pro Bowl and sidelines to actually be good
4k my ass. Its upscaled, essentially stretched out 1080 textures. Consoles will never have the hardware or horsepower pc's can have. And if or when they do, you will be spending over 1200 dollars for a console.. At which point, you might as well just buy a decent computer which can do a whole lot more than a console. You console players need to face the sad reality that your games look like utter dog shit and load slow because of seriously outdated hardware.. Its 2 years outdated when you get it brand new, so 5 years in the consoles life, there is not much they can do with it but do cheap software hacks to fake 4k gaming and oc the hardware. 4k res at 60hz/fps is a joke..
I guess you are right, that new xbox is getting some decent graphics on it.. That is mildly impressive for its price point.. Its about as good as my 2 year old rx 480 and 5 year old i7 with 16 gigs of ram. I am running an ssd drive not sure if those xboxes are or not.. All I know is my brother bought me a ps4 recently and I am not impressed with it at all.. Fucking thing loads like a slug
Just two questions... 1.) does the QB still have to stop completely to be able to change directions? 2.) is the blocking on kickoff and punt returns better?
C4 is running for an EA game changer with his modo "Make Madden Great Again/ MGGA" Wait a second, Lane Johnson isn't a former reality TV star. Huh, I guess C4 and Trump aren't so much alike.
Joshua yea I had to use a shit Iphone 4 as a temporary replacement for my phone so nothing was set auto correct wise. Mistake on my part but at least it wasn't my drunken gibberish.
A lot of people in this comment section sound like they are just noobs at the game. Madden this year is skill based more than last year and it has a learning curve people dont want to learn. Running is harder which is good. You didn't even need a good running back or o line to rush for 100 yards a game. Jukes and spins were over powered and favored bad players. Madden needs to be more skilled bases because in previous years I felt like half my loses came from EAs bullshit helping the bad player.
offstreet edits people want to gain easy they want to score Fast and Furious all day long which is the reason why I quit playing 2K get the best team and players and their school all day with no need for skill that's what today's generation is don't want to work for anything make it easy for me!!😱😖🤔
All I play is franchise mode and draft champions, and I skipped madden 18 due to the fact that I thought it would be a bust of money because it showed no real changes to the game besides longshot and graphics. Now that Madden 19 is here, I have to say that I am extremely excited to play this game, and that it looks better than the last few games up to Madden 25 for sure.
Plays good. I'm sure updates will smooth out the minor glitches but def improved. Running the ball doesn't seem so arcadic. Wish the dynamic weather attendance and LCD scoreboards was in it tho.
matasuki honestly me too man, big sf fan I wanted to do the 2012 niners but now I really can’t without kaepernick, at least i can still put Alex smith and frank gore back in there lol
One of my questions is that why are there only HALF of the NFL teams in Madden 19 with real owners and pictures for Franchise? Did they not have them all last year? I understand why there aren't a few Head Coaches, but leaving out half of the Owners when they had them in last year is strange.
You did bring up a good point about customizable draft classes. No randomization will mean players drafted in the 1st round will always be better than those drafted in rounds 2-7. Its unrealistic and I hope EA fixes this
Ok so my biggest problem is the receivers will just stop and get caught up if someone is in their way in the middle of you passing to them and it’ll be intercepted every time
I have played a good amount so far and felt the exact opposite about run blocking. Even in the clip that plays when you say that it's bad, if you would have followed blocks and hit the hole that the blockers created, that might have been a touchdown
i am looking for a game like this. I was brought up with Rugby so i know nothing about the NFL but find it really interesting, is this game good to get into learning about the NFL and all that bla bla. Cheers
I've never played a madden game in my life and my knowledge on football is quite low (I am from the UK). But I really want to give this a shot. Is this game beginner friendly?

i think drills/training drills in specific will be the next step in the archetype/skill point earning system in Madden 20

Glad people are realizing this lol

I thought the insta sheds were bad last year, they turned that shit to a 100 this year.
yeah, not fun right now. I've fixed it a bit with sliders but All-Madden is still real tough
Levi Sperry its when you play on all madden. All of the bullshit comes out of the woodwork
The problem is the difficulty ratings. As long as they have those, the game will manufacture difficulty.
I’ll stick to NCAA 14.
what's so good about that game. Graphics seem to look crappy. Not disagreeing with you just wondering. I have never played madden haha.
THANK YOU!!!
I can’t believe ppl are still buying these roster updates. NFL 2K5 or All Pro Football 2K8 is where it’s at. Old games but still far more fun to play, and feels like real football too.
Sandman u jus a hop on
"Roster updates" They make pretty big gameplay changes most years aside from 16-17
Elliot Rodger How does that Kool-Aid taste man? Madden hasn’t been good since 05, interestingly enough that’s the last time they had a competitor 😜
Madden 12 was decent and Madden 25 simply for the Legends.
@@redshoe7278 Are you serious?
1:00 wtf kinda tackle 😂
Kjraider2009 would you recommend it for 23 dollars? It just went on sale. I have madden 18.
Is it with $20?
It’s too inconsistent is the main point I’m making.
Editing critique: those slow black fade outs kept making me think my phone screen was going to sleep. Took me out of paying attention to the video
"A lot of these problems could be fixed with sliders"
Uhhhhh, have you paid attention to how ineffective sliders are at fixing these problems to begin with? Also, it's disappointing to see the same old morphing, warping, and ice skating despite so many promises of these issues getting fixed. #Save65

Oh good 30 seconds in and you see that quarterbacks still fumble 1,000% of the time when running the ball
what fumble 30 seconds in?
It’s 1 fumble, you want them to never fumble?
The Legendary Gamer13 See but its been really bad since 16. Play with the Jags a ton and Bortles IRL is a great scrambler and rarely fumbles the ball but in game if anyone touches him or you dive for extra yardage you instantly fumble.
If it takes having less graphics, to get better player movement and control. GIVE ME BETTER PLAYER MOVEMENT AND CONTROL....graphics can come later.
Anybody agree?
James Richard madden 13 was like that to me
You know EA is desperate when they release madden 19 on pc. thats just gonna lead to the game getting cracked and people modding the game so that u can update the roster every year. he he. The time is now bois.
Savstradamus im ded so true lmao
must be new to the madden franchise madden has always be on pc and console. when donny moore took over as lead designer and stopped producing it for the PC crowd. Glad he retired he should have been fired back in 2010.

You’ve been able to update rosters daily for years on console...
jake mangi update roster as in changes made after the season the game is based on. New rookies. Big quarterback changes, etc
I'm just waiting for it to be cracked, then its mine
I rented it for a night and after trying it I am done with EA.
Why?
Helped a lot thanks bro!
You couldn't do that for a couple years now, bud. Just face it, Madden is trash
Just as an FYI, the madden developers say that the All-Pro setting is the simulation. All-Madden setting makes the CPU players play way above their head. If you want realism, adjust the sliders for All-Pro. I found that out last year & it did make the game a lot more realistic to my surprise.
Im just here like ill buy it 2-3 months from now im okay with my ps2 maddens for a while

"In Madden 18 95% of tackles would have resulted in, well paralysis."
Or even for multiplayer give the option to change it to old scouting so it doesn't use so much extra time
The way the players run doesn’t look natural to me. Can’t be the only one that thinks this. 🤔😳
Tool OnDaBoards your right I think madden 25 on the ps3/360 and ncaa 14 had the best running animations to me
Yeah its trash like the rest of the game
I havent purchased a new Madden since 2013 (1998-2013 every year) and was seriously thinking of buying this years. As someone who played a lot of franchise mode, I just dont see enough changes to scouting and FA to make it worth it. Part of the fun is discovering and growing talent as well as throwing big money at FA. Now it just seems like easy bets to who will be good in scouting and throwing mass amounts of cash in FA.
When their NFL license finally ends it will be a Glorious day..cant wait till they let more developers make football games
CHAMPDOGZ they’re just gonna Renew the license lmao
So in multiplayer, it's your skill with the controller that determines wins and losses.
troy seay true
troy seay what are you talking about I’m always getting screwed over in franchise by those penalties
its been like that forever and yes its stupid
I actually miss the old draft classes. The players had actual faces rather than cg generated ones, and announcers actually knew the names of the new rookies. I'm frustrated they went away from this.
How can you talk about graphics being good, when you look at the sidelines and see the TERRIBLE player models? You talked about better immersion, yet that's a perfect example of how Madden continues to neglect immersion, and details.
disappointed the sideline players still have no numbers/face scans and have the detail of a Mobile game too
I, personally, think we need a scouting system kinda like Head Coach 09 where you send your scout to big time schools, middle schools and small schools per position. Then you need to send scouts to the senior bowl, pro days, etc. I personally feel like that was a good scouting system and you couldn't scout everybody and there mom
Literally couldn’t even tell if the gameplay was madden 18 or 19... just repackaging the same game with an update that should’ve been stuck in 18. ;-;
but ill still buy it

Joshua Hansen part of the problem
Real shit right here
I mean playing the game the running mechanics feel different
If you’ve played it, 18 looks a lot better

Hey it’s madden 16
Not really, at least in Madden 16, receivers could actually hold onto the ball.
There's plenty of new tackle animations
EA Sucks .... EA needs to scrap this game engine and go back to the PS2 game engine , polish it up and actually make a good football game..
What's wrong with the engine?
Kris Hopson .... Bad player animations, movements, horrible motion capture, players don’t cut naturally when running or tackle naturally, you feel like you get sucked into an animations when tackling rather than a natural feel like the older Madden games from the PS2 day’s ...
On the PC it was worth it because we have not had a new Madden game since Madden 08. Madden 08 was a great version. It had a play editor, let you choose hot routes, formations shifts, and audibles. If Madden 19 had these things then I would think it was a great game. I hope some modders figure out how to make them.

As a person who loves to run the football, the running game really frustrates me (the run blocking as stated in the video) and I would've liked a little more from franchise mode but I'm enjoying the game so far.
the running is terrible. averaged at least 180 on the ground 4 years in a row... this year, haven't gone over 100 once
That mean it's actually realistic lol

Does the CPU ever go for it on 4th down in madden 19? In precious maddens they never go for it unless it’s the fourth quarter. I want to see teams like the eagles make risky, game changing calls like in real life
Previous*
Ryley Opielski Hope but honestly I doubt it. It is kinda like something i hate which is when the CPU always knows when you are doing an onside kick. Such as first kick off of the game and you decide to onside kick the CPU just knows o ya the teams going to do a onside kick on the first play. Like really how would they know everytime...
TheAnswer that’s also like when you call a different play from the audible, the cpu changes their defense so it’s like they know what you are doing
ive seen it happen a few times already
happens with me alot .
Bro. I swear the cpu block shed is OP. It’s very hard to run the ball effectively. The best I have done on all madden difficulty is 106 yards on 32 carries which is trash. I’ve played about 15 games so far.

@@tjl8884 Ooohh. Platform wars in 2018
Seriously?
Hey C4, are we going to be able to use the legends team or at least the HOFers from that team in franchise mode?
looks wack
Just two questions... 1.) does the QB still have to stop completely to be able to change directions?
2.) is the blocking on kickoff and punt returns better?
1) No
2) No, not consistent enough to say that's it better. I've been playing on default sliders tho
C4 is running for an EA game changer with his modo "Make Madden Great Again/ MGGA"
Wait a second, Lane Johnson isn't a former reality TV star. Huh, I guess C4 and Trump aren't so much alike.

Joshua yea I had to use a shit Iphone 4 as a temporary replacement for my phone so nothing was set auto correct wise. Mistake on my part but at least it wasn't my drunken gibberish.
the low number of fumbles is the biggest weakness of the game. It's very frustrating to never be able to force a fumble when making powerful tackles.
Madden needs to be more skilled bases because in previous years I felt like half my loses came from EAs bullshit helping the bad player.
offstreet edits people want to gain easy they want to score Fast and Furious all day long which is the reason why I quit playing 2K get the best team and players and their school all day with no need for skill that's what today's generation is don't want to work for anything make it easy for me!!😱😖🤔
offstreet edits your are the only smart person in the comments
All I play is franchise mode and draft champions, and I skipped madden 18 due to the fact that I thought it would be a bust of money because it showed no real changes to the game besides longshot and graphics. Now that Madden 19 is here, I have to say that I am extremely excited to play this game, and that it looks better than the last few games up to Madden 25 for sure.
What Kap stands for > Madden '19!
Plays good. I'm sure updates will smooth out the minor glitches but def improved. Running the ball doesn't seem so arcadic. Wish the dynamic weather attendance and LCD scoreboards was in it tho.
The Kaepernick situation is the turning point for me.

matasuki honestly me too man, big sf fan I wanted to do the 2012 niners but now I really can’t without kaepernick, at least i can still put Alex smith and frank gore back in there lol
Its unrealistic and I hope EA fixes this
Great review bro!
Sorry if you’ve been bothered with this. But do you think you have an eta for your draft class on the Xbox?
Ok so my biggest problem is the receivers will just stop and get caught up if someone is in their way in the middle of you passing to them and it’ll be intercepted every time
I feel that it's harder to force fumbles. Do you confirm this impression? I play 40 online games and i I forced only 3 fumble.
What I am concerned about the most about Madden 19, does it still let you do hot routes and does it have a play editor?
It still has hot routes but it does not let you change what the hot routes are. It has no play editor.
Would u recommend PC version for someone who hasn't played much pc but played Madden since Madden 10?
I have played a good amount so far and felt the exact opposite about run blocking. Even in the clip that plays when you say that it's bad, if you would have followed blocks and hit the hole that the blockers created, that might have been a touchdown
Injuries are crazy in franchise mode. My first game six players got injured before halftime.
i am looking for a game like this.
Should I buy this or an Xbox and NFL2K5 with upgraded rosters ?
