Super spot on honest review. I have skated the Almost Impact light decks and I love them. Mellow concave or medium concave with nice tails and noses. Didn’t have an issue with the narrower tail.
Dwindle boards still rocking. The 8.5” shape is probably my favourite deck so far. Going to try an 8.38” at some point. I have a 8.38” Darkstar Celtic Gold Foil deck in my collection I’ll give a go at some point but I’m pretty sure it’s got a lot more concave.
@@Skatebetter yeah it’s a beaut. I loved the regular Celtic series they had and rode one of the 8” ones. Still have an 8.25” from that series too that I haven’t ridden either. That 8” board was what got me into the whole R7 Dwindle deck thing.
Great review! I’m curious to know, what trucks did you skate the Almost board with? What about the Enjoi? I ask because I recently switched from Indy Standards to Thunder Teams and I found that my board control and confidence grew when skating a slightly shorter truck (Thunders) compared to the relatively taller Indy’s.
Thanks brotha- I skated the Enjoi with Thunder 149’s- the Almost I started with Thunders and then switched to try Ventures (for the first time). I’ll be going back to Thunders- I miss the responsiveness and snappiness of the lower truck. The Thunders also have a smaller wheelbase than the Ventures which I miss for kickflips.

Def gotta try the impact decks at some point. Thanks for the info g!

I agree- i liked the 8.5 more than the 8.38. Gold foil sounds sick- sometimes that extra concave can be tricky for sure.

Nice park...where?
I have an 8.5 Almost deck and it seems like it was more like your 8.5 enjoi in terms of shape with a fuller nose and tail
Good to know! Appreciate these comments brotha. 👌🏻
Babe wake up there’s a new Skate Better deck review 😎

because it stretched out your wheelbase
Just curious if you measured the width and it was 8.38? I have a Yuri Faccini 8.38 and it measures exactly 8.25 in width.
I did not my good man, but i will when i get back from a trip I’m on and report status
@@Skatebetter enjoy your trip! vacation?
