Hello, if I filed a provisional patent myself to be the first to file, but have made a slight change to the design, am I still able to sell under that filing, or do I lose my filing date when it's time to file a non provisional patent? My drawings are my own hand sketches.

Thank you for the question and for watching my video. This is a bit fact dependent - it depends on how big of a change you made to the invention before you get around to converting the PPA to a utility application. That said, however, almost every inventor improves their invention even just a little during the 12 month pendency of the PPA. Unless you have special circumstances that are causing you concern, I would just include any small improvements in the utility application and not worry about it. I hope this helps. --john
