How effing rude why would you turn up to someone’s business and start a fight. If he doesn’t like it then build his own!! Sorry you had to go though that hope your ok.
What would you suggest for a 200-250cc bike that could go on a round the world trip? Something adventure style that would take luggage? Most bikes in South America are small Chinese bikes and I’d stand a better chance of sourcing spare parts if I were on a China bike.
They still just don't have the same quality control and parts as the bigger brand names irrespective of the factory they were made in. I have a lexmoto. Wish I bought a Yamaha or Suzuki instead but I didnt know much about bikes unlike I do now
You mentioning about the quality of early Chinese imports to the UK reminded me of the Jialing models of 30-ish years ago. Rough was not the word for them, in some instances it looked like the moulding 'flash' remaining on the cylinder barrels had been removed via a hammer, frightful quality control.
I have a 6 year old Lifan Cross 200cc. Never had a issue except for front bearings and rings just once and early on. But nothing else. Runs without problems. Good maintenance though key.
The older ones had a battery issue the battery was to small but they sorted that now i have serviced one that came from spain after 10000 miles all good
I'm looking at buying a Benda LFC700 cruiser when they become available in the UK, the estimated price is around £6.5k on the road. The engine is an inline four cylinder of 680cc, it is based on a Honda CBR650. The Benda's motor produced 97.2 hp and 72 N/m of torque, the rear tyre is a huge 310 mm wide. Top speed is around 125 mph / 200 kph.
What not mentioned is the Chinese supply products based on the requirements and price of the buyer wholesale. If the buyer would say selling it 1k USD then they will buy parts to meet the price, but if the buyer would sell at 10k USD they will match the quality of the parts thus getting German or Japanese parts.
Some of the more modern china bikes are better than they were, but they still have a ways to go yet. My bro bought a zontes mantis 125 new, and I was suprised by how much better the frame welds were and to be fair the engine was a good little runner. But the plastics were still fragile and would crack very easy, and the fuel injectors were terrible and that left him stranded on the side of the road on several occasions. This bike also made every warranty service. when got the bike back he was told the injectors were sorted and she was running fine - on the way home, she packed in again. This happened more than once. My bro had no problems for the first 2000 miles, but after that she continuously broke down and always due to the throttle body, sensors and fuel injectors. The bike was returned to the manufacturer for a full refund. Like I said though they are getting better, and the rest of the bike held up very well - frame, shocks, forks engine, tyres, wheels all held up.

There is a difference between a Japanese bike made in China and a Chinese brand bike. The factories that manufacture bikes for the Japanese in brands, which are made in China have much better quality control and are more or less built to the same quality as the ones made in Japan. The Chinese branded bikes still have any issues when I compare to them to the service records when we did carry them.
To a certain degree i would agree but this isn't always the case the YBR is no better that the Chinese equivalent i have had both here and the quality is the same zongsheng make over 1 million engines a year and they are for Chinese and Japanese bikes i think the best way of putting it is you get what you pay for
Generic no name brands don't have the same quality control, the known brands use. Its not a question of where bikes are made. Its a question of brand reputation .
every thing has to start from some ware when Kawasaki Honda Suzuki came to the uk originally they were hated the same as the Chinese stuff is now and I'm sure when another company starts bringing them in it will be the same

I have no beef with chinese bikes ,the way I see it is you get what you pay for . .ive had 2, an Xsport 200cc and a Wuyang 125cc ,both had more than there share of problems right from the outset but that was quite a few years ago . I am now concidering buying a lexmoto 50cc Hunter or simular .Maybe I'll be third time lucky . where I do disagree, is that just because any consumer item that comes out of the same factory as another one ,dosnt mean that there both built to the same standard ,as any one thats worked in a factory of any sort will tell you . Each product it made with the purchase price as the main contrabutary factor , motorcycles included.. Thanks , great channel, ride safe ;-)
I would say you right to a sertain portion of that simetimes it is down to price and yes quality is different somewhat but the fact that the engineers working on the bikes make both will help the quality and lets take sandwitches for instance i used to work in a factory that made them when we projuced them you would make products for marks and spencers aeroplanes and petrol stations and hospitals the price difference for all of these was about £5 sometime but they were all the same just different label's
I am very impressed about my GT Union PX 55 scooter a Yamaha Zuma clone. The quality is equal to the japanese but the factory assembly is still very much inferior. The braking in period is a must, parts are raw, whip a new engine, well it will not cut but it will be toasted, a squeeler that will not reach above 30 mph.
Here in Bolivia most people don't have the 5000 bucks for a japanese or european bike, so we buy chinese. Not better than the branded ones, but defintely good
Its not where they're made that's really the issue for me, it comes down to the quality of the parts. When a bike retails for £4k not £2k there is a brand mark up, but you'd also expect better quality parts and engineering. That said I'm tempted by a Lemoto LXR, or Hyosung GT125R :)
More often now the chinese and japanese bikes are made in the same place like cornflakes the kellogs veryion and the cheaper one are made in the same factory
I have the AJS highway star it's a great bike and I will admit I haven't been the best owner I have had it services and sorted when it needs it but I have had it now 1.5 year and have washed it I think 5 times lol. And there's me still going and mine dose kind of get neglected.

Its a question of brand reputation .
every thing has to start from some ware when Kawasaki Honda Suzuki came to the uk originally they were hated the same as the Chinese stuff is now and I'm sure when another company starts bringing them in it will be the same
Did tap on your website link, but it didn't seem to work?
Wich link i will have a look

My bike is a Chinese bike & it’s super reliable mine is a longjia not had any problems with it
we have had people work at cbrs from honda kawasaki bmw and the army and they all say the same that yes the chinese bikes sometimes have cheaper parts but normally they are no less reliable than any other brand of bike regardless of ware they come from
Very good video thank you very Educational
Thanks for watching
when im just a kid i used honda atv 90cc when im in teen i buy suzuki tsr125 after that i buy xr200 after that i buy kawasaki zx130 after that i buy chinese gy6150 scooter after that yamaha scooter 110cc after that yamaha 125scooter after that a gy6125 keeway now im planning to buy a chinese moped 150cc f.i. haha
Lol that is a wide range of small capacities lol witch is your favourite
Good video...thank you. What are the EU rules for Chines Bikes? you mentiond Fuel Injection, what else?
co2 emissions combined breaking headlights on all the time and side stand switch
@@Ridingreviews Thank you for the information. England is now out of the EU, I live in Sweden. Trying to find out who imports them. I like the DLX Hawk 250
@@markwarnberg9504 i had a quick look i carnt see anything
@@Ridingreviews It will be difficult, too many different rules and the possibility of the EU desolving potentional dealers will be wary of importing bikes they cain´t sell.
I fear you are right, markets want stability.
The braking in period is a must, parts are raw, whip a new engine, well it will not cut but it will be toasted, a squeeler that will not reach above 30 mph.
the components are good sometimes they arnt put together very well in the factory most of that gets sorted on the pdi
Here in Bolivia most people don't have the 5000 bucks for a japanese or european bike, so we buy chinese. Not better than the branded ones, but defintely good
They are more cost effective i think
Its not where they're made that's really the issue for me, it comes down to the quality of the parts. When a bike retails for £4k not £2k there is a brand mark up, but you'd also expect better quality parts and engineering. That said I'm tempted by a Lemoto LXR, or Hyosung GT125R :)
More often now the chinese and japanese bikes are made in the same place like cornflakes the kellogs veryion and the cheaper one are made in the same factory
Both are excellent choices
China's 450f when will that be available in the UK?
Im sorry i dont know
@@Ridingreviews I seen they have done a 2 stroke as well. I think Australia have them. Must be more demand for Chinese bikes there.
@@pastytit new 2 strokes are not allowed in the uk now im not sure about Australia
AJS are chinese built but under British quality control they are well put together. I have a AJS Tempest Roadster 125.
you can say that about all Chinese bikes in England i think most issues that arise should of been sorted on the pdi before delivery to the customer
I have the AJS highway star it's a great bike and I will admit I haven't been the best owner I have had it services and sorted when it needs it but I have had it now 1.5 year and have washed it I think 5 times lol. And there's not rust on it, 5500 miles and no issues have had friends who have so called Japanese bikes and had nothing but issues and brake downs, 2 of my friends have handed back there Suzuki's bad as they where horrible bikes. And there's me still going and mine dose kind of get neglected.
Yamaha XSR 700 made in France. My BMW 650 has a Rotax (Austrian) engine was made in the Aprilia (Italy) factory. Later Rotax engines were indeed made in China.
Yes none in japan lol
@@Ridingreviews Tenere 700 for Canada made in Japan, EU marked made in France. New KTM 790 made in Holland first year, then moved to china. its a strange market. I don't see a problem with Chinese production/quality, it depends on what quality they are being asked to produce. In many cases Chinese brands don't care about their reputation so they set the quality low. same with phones and computers.
@@soeren72 to some extent the quality of the products is ushally fairly good but if they dont get pdi checked properly in the uk there are issues we remove most bolts and locktite them and also taque them and mark them with a pen that helps heaps
i keep and maintain a gokart facility with rotax122 max karts. sorry, but all parts are still made in austria. not china as you claim. can you mention any model in specific that you are talking about here ?

what is a japan derived chinese engine like cg or ybr is it just engine cases
All of those engines were developed by the japanese in the 70 80 90s and pritty much china coppied the designes

ooooh don't pick a fight with captain china. Get over yourself bro. There is always someone bigger and harder.
i like that captain china i understand there is always someone bigger and harder that wasn't the point of what i was saying the point was some people are stupid for wanting to have a fight of something like me calling there bike Chinese
Helpful video but could have done without the embelished fight story haha!. I get that China now manufacturers some quality mainstream bikes and things like iphone 😉 but they have much higher quality control standards. Think I'll get one now I don't ride big bikes anymore and Ive always had a soft spot for a old school naked 125.
The fight thing was important i thik to show how stupid people can be
Just stumbled upon this as a recommended watch. Great info. Yeah the Chinese have definitely improved. Not sure how they will fair to British winters but hey, neither do the Japanese if not looked after. Triumph was the biggest con cause majority of bikes haven't been made in Hinckley for years with the much coveted Bonneville made in Thailand. I rie royal Enfield and dispute the quality to be no worse or better than any offerings 👍
Thans for commenting and welcome to riding reviews
If you have to tighten bolts when you have just brought a brand new bike then i sorry but thats shit. Would you buy a new car n have to tighten the wheel bolts? If you brought a new oven wood you have to check its wired correctly or a fridge or a microwave? Absolutely ridiculous! Chinese bike are shit. Yes there getting better but they are still shit. I preferred my suzuki dr125 over the sky team 125 i had when i was younger. You sir are a helmet
That is what the first service is for to check nuts and bolts small capacity bikes vibrate so better safe to check than not to plus most bikes are made in chine india and south america not japan ( ps any name calling to me or anyone else on my channel will resolt in you being perminantly band from all of my content that sort of behaviour will not be tolerated)
Look out guys! We're dealing with a badass here!
I bet this guy scared Chuck Norris away this one time.
Ye man chuck norris is my bitch
Where stuff is made is irrelevant, you can have both good and crap come from any country, proof is in the pudding, how many lexmotos are the with more than 5 or 6 thousand miles are there? Not many, you only have to read forums to hear how bad their quality is
i wouldn't say that is the only factor the vast majority of people using cheap motorcycles wont look after them those that have been looked after do many more miles
Brilliant and informative.
Thank you for watching
and how many watching and complaining use a chinese built laptop or smartphone ??
I have both lolso does everyone elese lol

8:45. One man had 3 bikes at 75,000 kilometres each ? Yeah really? I was a motorcycle courier - i guess he was too .
Chinese bikes are great ! lol - after you tighten the bolts up.
I doesnt matter if you beleve me but its true this is a information channel i dont earn commishion i dont get anything for promoting these motorbikes what reason have i got to lie
its not unheard off, people here buy them and they use them up to 100k then sell them and buy a new one if they dont want to do repairs
it costs less than having a BMW and using it up to 300k
Bullshit ive had 3 Chinese bikes and they all just fell to pieces after a year don't listen to his bullshit buy a proper Japanese bike trust me you will save a fortune everything on them is 100 times better quality everything on a Chinese bike is really low low quality all the metals low quality all the plastics low quality just everything in general is low quality trust me learn from my experience
You are of course entitled to you opinion but have a look for yourself at what bikes are made in japan now most are not yes more money is spent on research and development for the japanese esk bikes no one is desputing that alot of japanise bikes are better but are the double the price better
do some great reviews. I think from my experience chinese bike are no gd I have had one for 2 week nothing but problems

We need bigger engines in the cruisers, the chines bikes are alot better looking and they do really great cruisers. In my eyes anyway.
I'd love to get my hands on one of the Benda eagle 400cc they are stunning so is the eagle 125.
As a country we need to get better at getting these better looking bikes. Over here.
in the UK we need the government to create incentives so we can create our own at the minute it is just way to expensive to develop our own
i had a yby custom 2015 it had chinese ccc stamps all over it
not a lot of thing are made in japan anymore some as England
you guys have no clue about motorcycle manufacturing or production. there are a lot of new bikes which are strictly made in japan. there's a reason why china still makes bikes with 90's tech because thats all technology transfer they get for being china.
Yes i know china has a tendancy of using tech from older japanese bikes and and you are wrong about japan making bikes anymore they make some and i do specifi in my video that they ushally manafacture in brazil china or Indonesia but beens as your the expert on this matter give you the right to be rude i see
