Thanks for sharing this. The Hill country is one of my favorite destinations on my motorcycle. Sad to see the drought taking such a heavy toll on the people and economy.
good evening Kevin.!! wow not much of water in the lake and the river wow.. great information.. sending prayers for you all and hope you guys get rain. have a good day and weekend. thank you for sharing.
Wow 😮 I certainly can understand how hard it is to see the lake so low. Our lakes were at there lowest at the end of 2021. Thankfully our rains the last couple years have filled them up. I hope the rains will return and help raise the lake levels. The river looks beautiful. I appreciate you giving an updated tour.

Hello Kevin, I agree with you about not getting into the water anywhere around here. Wow you found water in the lake, I can't even remember when I seen water in there. Interesting history on the dam. Have a good day.
Very interesting to learn about this area and it's a shame the drought has impacted it so much. It was neat to see the bald cypress trees. I was surprised to see the river totally dry downstream.
So sad. Thanks for the very informative tour Kevin! So sad to see the lake all dried up and the businesses closed. It’s so awful for the plants and animals too. I’m hoping you get some rain soon! Take care and stay in the a/c! - Jen 🧊🧊🧊💦💦💦
Great video Kevin!!! Not much left of Medina lake. The Medina river is really pretty with the Cypress trees!!! Great information about the history of the dam and the irrigation!!! Have a wonderful day my friend!!!😊
Interesting how the dam was built. Surprised that would be considered safe/sturdy enough. Such a shame everything is so dry. Looked like that was a nice little campground, but if there's no water for activities, it probably doesn't get much business if it is open. Thanks for the update.
Hey Kevin! Very sad to see! Yall need rain and need it bad! Sad to see the once bustling businesses closed because of this! 🙏Hope yall get much needed rains soon!
Things are rough everywhere it seems. I just got back from So. Padre (yesterday) and the coast looks like it’ll take a revolutionary type of election process (or a series of never before enacted processes) before our existing systems can even begin to catch up to the new and related jobs that are (already) going to become commonplace… But there also seems to be a drought when it comes to active change and/or leaders with monetary wealth who would help fund said process(es) as “acceptable and necessary”. I definitely feel sadness knowing how badly the animals have suffered alongside the businesses. I also want to say that I always feel great when I get to see your videos! This one is no exception. I am praying for reasonable rainfall for all of us. I know our (wild)life depends on it, but even if we never get back to square it’s been a heck of a ride! Thank you for bringing us along on the journey! Have a great weekend! : )
Hi again! Thanks for doing an update on this. Did you know that SAWS (San Antonio Water Systems) is suing BMA (Bexar Medina Atascosa) water systems over a contract dispute for water usage from Medina Lake? I wonder if it has anything to do with it being empty for so long?
It's really a very interesting presentation on the lake and the river !! Greetings from India.
Greetings from Texas
Great information and video, very sad and sorry to see such a devastating drought in the area.
Thank you. It still hasn't recovered.
Well done. Great history contribution. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Excellent information on this area. It's such a shame that the lake is so dry. 😢

Thank you. It will take a lot of rain.
Interesting place I hope they get some slow and steady rain to help fill it
Hello Kevin, I agree with you about not getting into the water anywhere around here. Wow you found water in the lake, I can't even remember when I seen water in there. Interesting history on the dam. Have a good day.
@Bartonsrving thank you, Donnie. It has been years since it was full.
Good afternoon Kevin.
@dennis78382 good afternoon, Dennis. I hope you're having a great day.
Very interesting to learn about this area and it's a shame the drought has impacted it so much. It was neat to see the bald cypress trees. I was surprised to see the river totally dry downstream.
Thank you, Sarah. The drawback of this lake is that it a small watershed.

Thank you, Jennifer. We do need a lot of rain. For this lake, the rain has to fall in a specific area due to it having a small watershed.

You too. Thank you.
Thanks for showing us around. 2,3% full and not going to fill the way that river looks.
It would take a flood. Thank you for watching.
Looks like fun
It was.

I do too. Thank you and have a wonderful day
I! I came in by Adventure America! 😊
Thank you
Ditto !
Hey Jackie's channel how's it going? Thanks for the video, from Frank's EC Channel. I was and am hoping some of this rain will fill the lake up again.
It got some rain, but not enough to make much of a difference.
Hey Kevin cool video.
Thank you, Joe.
🤠🤘♥️
I hope you are having a blessed day.
❤❤❤❤❤🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉❤❤❤
Gonna be a long minute before that fills again. Make me thirsty just watching! Hope all is well, Kevin.

So true. Thank you. Rock on.
Such a shame for that area and businesses that relied on the lake.. hopefully it comes back but that is a huge undertaking from Mother Nature.
Hopefully, it can all after some good rain. Thank you for watching, Chris.
That's crazy how low that is and think how many people are not working right now because of it such a shame
It is

I do know about the litigation, but I don't know where they are at with it.
Not much left of Medina lake.☺
No there isn't
Drought is big time this year. I know San Angelo State Park at an all time low at 1.2% full.
We have been in this prolonged drought for almost three years.
Good boy Jackie Boy (scratch scratch)
He is a good boy
That's so sad.
It is. It's a beautiful lake when it's full.
How long has the drought been going on?😗😗🙏🙏🙏🙏
Over two years.
Not much left,,,,, so sad,,,,, I’m so sorry to see this,,,,, hopefully 🤞 it’ll get better ❤️🩹 if it’s possible
