Best show on Hendrix I've ever seen. I've waited 53 years for this as I have always been a Hendrix fan and hungry for any legitimate information on him and his groups, managers, producers etc. So well done. The photos are ones that mostly I've never seen before and to have them synced up with the information on his day to day travels is incredible. Thank you so much. ❤❤
thanks this is really good i was born in 62 at 7yrs old i was listing to hendrix i remember having the poster from smash hits hanging in my room long live jims music
Wow, that awesome! I was born a few years later, but would not discover Hendrix until 13 or 14 years old, which unfortunately was about seven years after his passing. Thank you so much for sharing that. Cheers!
I am glad to see some of the photos from the Muncie show included here. I did some research on that show back in the 90's and found out a great many things about that show that previously had not been published yet ( Univibes issue 28). Thanks as always for bringing us Jimi Hendrix fans along for the ride it has been a fantastic trip so far.
I would need a book collecting all the quotes and details of Hendrix's artistic bibliography that this channel is providing. Yes, everything poured in a writen text. It would be the best book about Jimi that I could imagine at this moment.
My college band, The Hanseatic League (Bates College), opened the Lewiston Armory show. Terry and The Telstars were second, a local Lewiston band. Soft Machine was billed but not on that date (3/16/68) for some reason. We got the gig because our bass player was one of the show’s promoters and they needed another band due to Soft Machine’s absence. Crazy. And life changing. It was the one and only time Jimi Hendrix played in the Great State of Maine. Love the tour guy’s comment: “Great show, shitty place.” Yeah, I can go with that …
Wow... another info packed episode. At this time I could only wonder what was happening with Jimi, his touring and his musical career. The info that came to me was bleak and I had very little to read. The stories heard from some people, would be rumors that you couldn't trust, and nothing was reliable.... especially at this time in 1968. Thanks for your effort to bring it to us, along with many photos that seem brand new to me. A treasure trove As usual 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮, extra tasty !!
Thank you very much for another amazing episode, as well as for the pictures and the brilliant links. The time and effort that you put into creating these videos is greatly appreciated.
bought a book on origins of most of Hendrix songs and inspirations...however on purple haze im not sure i have it right . acquired a book called: night to light by Farmer which inspired the song yet i didn't find the source...it was a long poem then abbreviated to a radio as song duration. poet,E Cummings was read by Hendricks so i will look into that...now ii know where it was written, thanks to this cannel...
Hi my friend, good on you for taking the next step! Often there are multiple stories as to the inspiration for songs. Jimi's songwriting approach, and song meanings, are something we definitely intend to examine in greater detail. Cheers!
Love waking up to another episode on Jimi. I always wish they were a little longer but very happy with all the great info and pics. My only suggestion would be to show stuff like the diary entries and concert reviews a bit more so we could read the whole page. Or perhaps you read the whole pages since you have a nice voice. I've tried to pause the video to read them but it's difficult with the stuff that shows up on the screen when you pause it. But either way I'm happy with everything you put together for each episode and truly thank you for all the work it takes to put these together.
I agree about showing more of Jimi's very beautiful handwritings!...The guy was an innate artist...some of his early paintings, done when he was a young teen, are quite good!
@@BELLY_BUTTON_WINDOW You welcome.I saw the photo years ago but the one i saw from the same roll as this jimi looked shocked ' carnt believe this is his lp' kind of expression .Spirit was a good band.
At 22.29....You show Jimi, casually playing the infamous Goya guitar...you missed the great story/incident that followed his struggling with the instrument.
In the US he played Sunn alot until they failed alot then Merson of westberry ny found enuff good marshall to go out . they were not well made . mine failed two mins into playin with Leslie west ...
Both Jimi + The WHO used them. SUNN wanted their input for research + development purposes. Noel used them and got better results . The WHO said no . Not good enough.
See my comment...after Jimi died, it was eventually sold off by the Estate...different stories are on the Internet, as to what ultimately happened to that vehicle!

Another good one!
Thanks again!
Imagine Jimi Hendrix Experience backing star Trek Leonard nimoy for just one song on His album making it even groovy er
Love it!
✌️
Cheers!
14:15 ILLOGICAL JIMI!
Wow! I never knew about Jimi meeting with "mr Spock! I'm probably glad there was no elaboration on thier political beliefs.
Cheers!
14.40 check out Spirit album -Randy California who Jimi wanted to take to UK but he was too young
Excellent, thank you so much for pointing that out! Cheers.

Don’t leave us hanging man, what’s the story? 😊
Wow! Would to know more about this. Feel free to share here, or alternatively send us an email. Best wishes!
14:50 - Noel is getting high with Leonard Nimoy?
Indeed!
Why is Jimi playing thru Sunn amps and then Marshalls ??
In the US he played Sunn alot until they failed alot then Merson of westberry ny found enuff good marshall to go out . they were not well made . mine failed two mins into playin with Leslie west ...
Both Jimi + The WHO used them. SUNN wanted their input for research + development purposes. Noel used them and got better results . The WHO said no . Not good enough.
I think Leslie west used them in mountain
Awesome, thanks for that!
The Jimi Hendrix Experience had a deal with Sunn but Jimi dumped them. He didn’t like the sound and the Sunns weren’t road worthy.
What ever happened to the corvette ??
See my comment...after Jimi died, it was eventually sold off by the Estate...different stories are on the Internet, as to what ultimately happened to that vehicle!
I always thought that vette was yellow. It was bought here in Cleveland Ohio !!
Thanks for that! Cheers
Great stuff indeed! .......btw is that an AI voice?
Thanks! Yes it is.
