Man this game is incredibly stressful on your first playthrough. I never felt safe while playing it. Even when you get the flamethrower later on the game counters by piting you against multiple Xenos and face huggers.

The Nest, man. I just beat my first playthrough on hard a few days ago and I can safely say that was by far the hardest part of the game for me. Pretty sure that part of the game was one of the areas a lot of my deaths came from. And yet, here I am going through the game a second time on novice to get the platinum lol. The Nest is probably the only area I'm really worried about getting through for the One Shot trophy. Every other enemy, you at least have a fair amount of time to pause and reset but with the facehuggers, you have such a low margin of error....I just hate to imagine getting that far (or beyond) and then dying by one of those little monsters.
imagine being in that train thing and you just stayed in there weld the door shut and then have mad snacks and brought your phone and charger and a place were you could use the bathroom 😂

I swear during mission 10 (the trap), the xenomorph was on my ass constantly in Nightmare. Seeing you get through the mission with it barely showing up makes me wonder what the hell I did to piss it off 😂

Depending on the maturity of the Alien, try to equip yourself with more blunt objects such as wooden spoons and shoes. Try to reach outside without alerting the alien, as soon as you get outside your home; the Alien will have a hard time finding you
At 1:23:50 when de Alien drops, in my second playthrough the xenomorph doesn’t drop. I don’t know why. I’ve watched lots of videos where he does that and even in my first playthrough, the Alien did it.
Pro Solo Gaming it was 2-3 weeks of pain and blood but I did it! This is the third time I’ve done this! Last time I did it was years ago. This game is a masterpiece!

No i didn't save game.My plan was to do it no death run but it turned out I was lucky to be this way..i died 4 times and start all over again!My biggest luck when i was dying was the first half of the game so i didn't lose to much time!It was no plan to not get hit man it's just luck in 5th attempt!if I had been hit I would have continued playing.
This game lost a lot of the realism it has at 47:40 when she screams as the Alien drops from the vent. It can hear your footsteps from several rooms away but it can't hear a scream from 2 metres away?

Alien cannot always hear you. In some moments of the game and in some situations, he cannot attack you. This is a feature of scripts. But you're right, this person is lying. He definitely was dying, he had many mistakes and often he chose unsafe solutions. He simply recorded successful missions and created one video. I finished the game 8 times and see this.

But, there are sections of the game where the Alien is present where he should be able to hear you if you start running (at least on the console version). Apparently this isn’t the case on PC, which arguably makes a PC playthrough much easier.
