Thanks for your comments Colin. Measurement of oxygen in the stack will give good indication of the efficiency of the combustion process and allow optimum use of fuel. In addition it will enable you to monitor the quality of the emissions for environmental reasons.
Sir, We have installed a new endura AZ20 series probe and remote transmitter for our bagasse fired boiler. But it is showing the reading of O2 19%. In the running boiler it should show 5 to 7 % only. What may be the reason. We have a company calibration certificate of the same.
I am gonna say that the temperature in the gas is needed to know how hot the fire will be and that is adjusted by the oxygen and gas mixture. So when the fire reaches a very high temperature, you actually need the industrial kind to withstand the temperature of the fire.
