EXIT ist das Festival, das in aller Munde ist.
Es wurde 2007 von über 10.000 Briten zum Lieblingsfestival gewählt und bei den UK Festival Awards als "Bestes Europäisches Festival" ausgezeichnet.
EXIT findet innerhalb der Mauern der Festung Petrovaradin aus dem 17. Jahrhundert statt, die eine beeindruckende Kulisse für das grösste Musik- und Kulturereignis Südosteuropas bietet. Die ersten angekündigten Acts, deren Auftritte noch bestätigt werden müssen, sind unter anderem:
Paul Weller, The Sex Pistols, Primal Scream, Gossip, Juliette Lewis & the Licks, M.I.A, Gogol Bordello, Ministry, The Hives, Deep Dish (Dubfire & Sharam), Kruder & Dorfmeister Summer Sessions, Sven Väth, Soulwax, 2ManyDJs, Laurent Garnier, Francois K, Tiga, Booka Shade, Ben Watt und Claude Von Stroke und viele weitere, die noch folgen werden.
EXIT ist Eure Eintrittskarte für ein einmaliges Erlebnis; ein Fest der Musik, Freiheit, Freundschaft und des Lebens, das Ihr mit gleich gesinnten Party People aus der ganzen Welt feiern könnt.
Über 600 Auftritte finden auf 25 Bühnen statt, die durch Kopfsteinpflasterstrassen, Wälle und Tunnel miteinander verbunden sind - ein Gang durch diese mystische Festung ist wie eine Reise durch ein magisches Wunderland. Die Dance Arena ist nach Meinung Vieler die beste in Europa, und das Erlebnis, gemeinsam mit 20.000 Leuten zu tanzen, während über den Festungsmauern die Sonne aufgeht, ist wirklich atemberaubend. EXIT ist berühmt für die sehr unterschiedlichen und gewagten Line-Ups, die alle musikalischen Genres von Rock bis Rap, Klassik bis Chill, Dance bis Drum & Bass und Electronic bis Experimentalmusik umfassen. Unter anderem sind folgende Künstler bereits hier aufgetreten: Basement Jaxx, Billy Idol, Franz Ferdinand, Fatboy Slim, Morrissey, Massive Attack, The Prodigy, Robert Plant, Snoop Dogg, Scissor Sisters, Underworld und die White Stripes.
EXIT begann vor neun Jahren als studentischer Protest gegen das kommunistische Milosevic-Regime und beweist, dass Musik eine universelle Sprache ist, die Menschen verbinden und zusammenführen kann, um diese Welt ein wenig besser zu machen. EXIT hat Festivalbesucher aus der ganzen Welt in seinen Bann gezogen und obwohl es von Jahr zu Jahr grösser wird, ist die Stimmung die Gleiche geblieben
