I discovered Chuck Prophet from music stations that came with my cable service back in the early 2000s. There were channels with different genres and I used to leave on the Adult alternative channel while cleaning or doing other things around the house. Fast forward, I'm still listening today. Great song!
This is gearing up to be one fucktastic album if this 2nd released song is anything to go by. A top class song with a great bit of hat tipping to the late, great Doug Sahm in motion....
Excellent Chuck. Great film man. Reallllly enjoyed. Love the song and your SF local. You should be Mayor, you rep the City right. Ocean Beach! Spent a lot of time there back in my San Francisco Art Institute days. And this is quite amusing too Chuck. Well done.
THE man continues to innovate and bring something cool and fab every time! Sounds like we are in for something fantastic when the new album hits the streets. Brilliant ❤
Rambling around town with your board, you goof. Great song, and love that accordion! Thanks Chuck! The staccato frames of this remind me of Neil Young’s “Wonderin’” which is delightful.
These lyrics, I cannot imagine how anyone could write this more accurately:: “All the politicians drinking in the clubhouse I can hear ‘em talking Yeah, but I don’t know what it means I’m minding my own business I’m only taking out the garbage It’s exactly like you told me, honey Nobody’s ever what they seem” I have been seemingly trying to take out the damned garage ever since I registered to vote, jeezus, 40 years ago. Peace to y’all 🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
C'mon, the Neil Young 'Wonderin'' vibes can't be a coincidence! (it was just a subtle thing in Wake the Dead) Not just the overall feel, it's also like the same junction, the white suburban house, the carpark under the roof, the beach; the three 'Shocking Pinks/Oranges'. Probably just me! Love the song by the way. Looking forward to the album big style.
This tune is great fun...Chuck Prophet is one of
THE best songwriters around...
Chuck, please come back to Croatia. I watched/listened to you 4 times. It is a long time since you have been here. Great new material.
