I LOVE magazines! I have a collection dating back from the early 1900’s up thru the 1980’s. They give me such peace and comfort and makes me feel good so I get it!
I used to buy every fashion magazine and couldn't wait to get them home and read them!! I totally get putting magazines out it's their hair,, makeup, trending outfits..the color of the magazine it just brings you back to a happy time and if you can save that magazine and make sure it doesn't get all ripped and tattered...you will love it even more 10 yrs from now. 🌺😊

Hi Lisa. Loved this video so much. I don't know if you remember or not but there was an episode of Sex and the City where it shows Carrie's bookshelf filled with vintage magazines. The moment I saw that, I knew I was going to have to have a bookshelf like that with all of my magazines in it as well. We have moved so much, unfortunately, I've never been able to set that bookshelf up, but it has always a goal of mine. We are moving right now, and that is number one on my list as soon as we unpack. (Fingers crossed😉)I I have vintage magazines from Lucky (my fave), Cosmo, InStyle, Seventeen, PeopleStyleWatch, and Self from as far back as 19969. I remember every Friday night after I got paid, we would go out to dinner, swing by the mall, run in TJ Maxx, and finish up at the Publix, and I would get all the current magazines. We'd get home, get me a snack, get the kids to sleep and just devour those magazines. It was my little time to myself and I really loved it.❤
I so agree with you om the velvet hangers. I get that it is annoying if your clothes slide off, but just as annoying when you can't get them off easily. I have tiny closets, my house was built in 1961.

I use the Amazon Turkish towels in my bathroom and my favorite is the sheet towel for after I shower. I love a towel that completely covers you everywhere and then I go with it straight to bed where I lay down and fall asleep for a while. Wonderful.

Studded Birkenstock are from the french designer CLARIS VIROT, model ODETTE. They are amazing, extremely comfortable, all leather. I used to have a magazine addiction. I loved home decor, esp. HGTV, and Southern Living. I always enjoyed when my People mag showed up, and I loved InStyle also. I had to stop getting them because they kept getting thinner and thinner. None of them could compete with the internet. It’s something I still miss.
I love having a tan face!! Always use the tanner on my face. Lol. Some people don’t. But since I’m pastie white I love the self tanner on my whole body including face. I just through a bunch of 30 year old magazines away. Lol. I loved all of them

Before publishing went under magazines were everything! Now, they needed to be more expansive in what they featured and with staffing. They got away with being insular for decades and eventually their luck ran out. But when I was a teen and in my 20’s I subscribed to everything and devoured them. I also used them as a decorative feature. I get a kick out of looking at older magazines for the fashions. The articles are also an important bellweather of topics of interest at specific times.

I ❤the GE Opal 2.0. The ice maker in my fridge went out so I was forced to get an ice maker. I got it “like new” on e bay for half the price. Since I’m carnivore too I’ve gotten rid of items & I had room so, I purchased a distiller. It was about $100 & it was well worth it because I don’t have to haul water constantly.

I love the velvet hangers- BUT--- they have to be completely curved on top with NO dents/cutout that is made to keep a strap in place. The wood hangers are lovely, feel luxurious, but they are thick and more importantly -they make bumps in my shoulders of the clothes. They stretch out and mis-form the shoulder area of shirts and sweaters. My velvet hangers look like a C curve on top so nothing pokes out of my shoulders .
Carrying everyone's towels and sun lotions, wallets etc., After all the years of carrying the whole families stuff, I gave my self permission to get a backpack for my husband to carry his stuff year's after the kids moved on. Don't know what took me so long.

A friend was wearing this gorgeous sparkly bangle bracelet and I had to find out where she purchased it.
