Pranoid dchizophrenics do exactly that sort of thing when unmedicated, one guy decapitated a dude in a bus..he was freed 3 years later and has never even been arrested since. He was moritified at what he had done. Same with mushroom boy who willed two neihgbors..and a woman just given no jail time for stabbing her boyfriend dead. Its the ONLY mental illness that gets a pass...full on hallucinations with delusions. Ie i could think my foot is a slice of pizza from godand eat it to save humanity.

Even if I were a family member, she wouldn't be getting out and living with me. Would you want her to live with you or be your neighbor. That crime was just too horrific for me.

if she gets released, the legal/doctor/judge or whoever making that decision MUST assume responsibility to go to jail too when she does it again. This would send the wrong message out to other kids who might want to do the same thing. if my daughter or son did what she did, i wouldn't feel comfortable or trust her around other people, especially in the tough times and experiences we all have in life.

Why is it possible for her to decide she wants a new hearing on her case?
She must be kept in jail/mental institution forever, she`s gonna stay dangerous her whole life.

Most people in prison want freedom.
Well, you should have thought about that before stabbing someone.

They were just playing murder when they stabbed her 19 times. Now this one is tired of hanging around the asylum and changed her mind about being crazy. She didn’t mean to get caught and she would like to forget all about it.

She should tell the court-appointed doctors conditional release isn't all she would be willing to take . She should also ask for supervised furloughs to visit her family , work release , furloughs to attend college or vocational school or to be able to spend holidays with her family . For example she could ask for release to go to school plus work release then comeback in 6 months to ask to spend holidays with her family such as Thanksgiving , Christmas , New Years and the 4th of July . It might be best for her to prove herself in incremental steps like John Hinckley , Jr did . If he had only asked for conditional release he might still be in St Elizabeths Hospital , today . Asking only for conditional release got her nowhere with her last 2 petitions . If she proves herself in incremental steps , she might be home in a few years . If she keeps asking only for conditional release , she could end up serving her whole 40 year sentence .

I saw her police interview. She showed no emotion, like it wasn’t a big deal and no Empathy whatsoever!
She wants out because “she says she’s better”?
She was a threat to society back then, now and will be in the future!!
    It doesn’t work that way!
Do horrible things pay the PRICE!

She was 12!! The courts can’t say when she will be healthy only doctors can say that. It would be important to have medical professionals who don’t know the crime she committed and see what they say.

The one perpetrator was released after seven years, even though she was given a 25 year sentence. This is probably why the other perpetrator is asking to get released. She was sentenced to 40 years. Both of them were sentenced to Psych Wards

I don't think they should be released. You run the risk of her stopping her meds once she has the "freedom" to make her own decisions. She likely may try to kill again. I would never feel safe with this monster out in the world.

Partly. And stupid stuff like slenderman and realistic murder movies and true crime and serial.killers and realistic video games. That stuff is pumped in their ears and eyes every moment they re not staring at a teacher in school. It brainwashed them and makes them numb to it. And the ones with mental problems it hits worse.
