It’s crZy how you discover the entire time your being manipulated by gapetto and killing all the good messengers that Romeo sent. You just kill everyone
To be fair, I don’t think anyone trusts G from the jump and you spend the entire time waiting for the other shoe to drop lol. I mean, the dude looks more villainous than Simon the entire game lol
I think Romeo could've done a better job of trying to get a message my way, but instead all I got was an insane circus ringleader trying to crush me with a cage strapped to his back surrounded by dead humans
Is really clear when you realize the cut scene before the fight with the king is depicting geppetto taking the heart out of you and putting it in the nameless puppet. A huge foreshadow and also a warning , the king is telling you "this is what will happen if you don't listen" well you know how the rest goes 😅
I'm still not sure if that's Geppetto taking P's heart and putting it into the nameless puppet or if he's taking it from Carlo's body (figuratively, he's actually taking his ergo and putting it in the mechanical heart) and putting it in P, but it's probably the first one
Could also just as well be a reference to geppetto's wish to dehumanize. In other words, due to the endings it's clear he doesn't want an actual son, but a puppet that is alive and human. Thus removing the heart from the humane puppet that is the protagonist and putting it in a blank slate one.
If only there was a secret ending where if you don't attack the bosses for 3 minute straight, and the bosses ask you a question where it rewards you for telling the truth instead. You can join Romeo and take the fight to Gepetto
It’s kind of sad how misguided the puppets were. This clearly was a situation where the intentions were good but the means by which they were to go about achieving that end were chaotic and wrong and possibly had the effect and inducing pain and madness onto the puppets. Since we know Geppetto very much likely initiated the Puppet Frenzy and basically made Romeo the leader of the puppets without Romeo himself having any say in the matter nor knowledge of how it happened, he most likely made the order that to protect humans, the petrification disease must be purged, however it’s not stated how strong the disease or symptoms must be for a person to be considered “infected” and thus must be terminated. It’s very well possible that due to the humans of Krat being around Ergo near 24/7 through things like the Puppets and Ergo fuel going around like Golden Ergo, everyone in Krat may very well be infected with the disease or have a concentration of Ergo that could lead to the disease manifesting that the puppets would deem sufficient proof that they need to be terminated. As such, all the humans of Krat will be considered “infected” while the rest of humanity wouldn’t be. That’s the best reasoning I can come up with though
That seemed to be the case because why else would they attack "indiscriminately"? Let's say ergo has a wavelength attuned to it and the petrification disease is noise that the puppets interfere with (radio noise) As soon as the order was given everyone who's noise was heard was disposed of. Seeing as hotel krats stargazer acts as a noise jammer which makes it the safe Haven for people to be in.
He's not necessarily the bad guy, more just a rogue agent with his own desires and no allegiance to anyone. He's a puppet who was given free will and gained humanity, but then he was told that his gaining humanity was to the benefit of someone else. Well, technically him, but it's not him-him, as in P who has developed a personality of his own. I'd refuse, too. 😂
I remember playing the game near the end and whenever i would just try to run away from the enemies, sometimes, if the monster enemies and the puppets enemies cross paths they began fighting each other. I thought this was just some glitch that helped me get free loot without fighting. I did not know it tied into the story. WOW
The Covenant wasn't added in the first few puppets, but it was only added after a puppet murdered Vigini's family. Thus, the laws of never harm humans and always obey their commands were put into place. You can actually find said murderer if you figure out the phone riddles.

Romeo sent ravenous killing machines to attack and murder us on sight to "recruit" us? Some lore says it's Geppetto's meddling that causes the fights. But this also makes little sense as Romeo was capable of putting on a play revealing G's dark plans and to extend a friendly hand.. but he couldn't just send normal messengers (not hulking death machines) with a note? He could not have shown up without the KoP suit, without weapons to make it clear he meant no harm?
all the bosses or the messengers he sent to us were frenzied but still they were trying to make us understand and romeo did his best to explain him even tried to show the reality of the geppetto in the puppets i mean the starting cut scene of the king boss, so devs tried to explain the story in this way and i think many people are getting confused by it but it's very straightforward why it's like this
Alright, one thing I don't get. Why the march against the petrification disease suddenly redeems puppet frenzy? Why Romeo's messengers are considered good and alongside with him fighting for the sake of humans if at the same time they are the ones killing innocent people? I get that the one who commanded the frenzy was Geppetto, but it never stopped and wasn't he also the one who commanded the fight against the disease? So I just can't really put it together why Romeo and his puppets are commiting bloodshed on the streets and state that they care for humans at the same time.
IMO when you are writing a complicated story, the best way to execute it is the grey characters and grey events. I think none of the characters here (including us) are hundred percent evil or hundred percent good. I love these kind of stories, where it leaves to the imagination and perception of the listener/reader, to judge the characters and events according to their own perception.
they are killing people because of the laws ofc all must obey their creators command which is ofc geppetto and evey romeo tried to explain us and it's all happening because of geppetto he is the one true evil it all started because of thr frenzy, in the search of reviving his son all he did was ... yk destroyed whole krat and you'll understand this if you'll choose the bad ending the game you'll receive the letter by geppetto that he'll replan the city krat with more puppets because for sure they are no more humans left there and geppetto doesn't care about any human at all, so the cause of everything is geppetto and that's very straightforward and not so confusing to understand and that's not so shocking even in the real world there have many person, a single person was a cause of millions of death and just like that it is depicted in the game, the story in this game is very deep
They are fighting against the disease, which would also include every infected human. Perhaps something was off about the way they detected the disease? Or, alternatively, they could tell someone'd been infected well before any symptoms showed and for that reason it looked like they attacked innocent people.
At first i thought that km order to understand the puppet language all i had to do was keep telling the truth so i become a puppet instead of a human 😂
Gepetto changed Romeo into a puppet because he had the same disease as Carlo. However he didn't die like Carlo did (that's why Gepetto wants us to do all this to bring Carlo back)
Once Geppeto ordered the Puppet Frenzy chaos broke out, but soon after Romeo intervened and gave new orders to protect humans and destroy the carcasses. The initial losses were unavoidable.
Probably because humans were near unstable Ergo 24/7 (because it's the main source of energy), become instable and starting to develop the illness (caused by the Ergo itself). We can think almost every citizen of the city was infected, and the puppets, trying to eradicate this illness, killed all the people infected they can reach...
When I read all puppet messages it really fucked me up. The puppets were our friends all along. You can also see this when you have a puppet chasing you and you run into a carcass enemy. They'll immediately focus each other.
It’s my understanding that we attacked them first from a canonical standpoint. However, i clearly remember the parade master body slamming me immediately upon entering the arena 😂!
@@TheInhumanOne oh that makes sense bro the puppets did nothing wrong and that’s why everyone is scared of them. They think they kill all humans bro I feel bad now ngl

N I sure as fuck ain't saying "conjecture", your subs all went crazy n started cryin when I asked about Nameless.
Ok but if the puppets really were trying to save people why did they kill everybody? 😂 Don't try to tell me they were all infected with petrification disease cause in the streets of Krat you see tons of bodies with regular red blood all around them.
could be self defense. we dont know the puppets acted on their own. we know that when a human did die, they used the covenant to bind them. we also know ergo does some crazy things. I don;t think its as black and white as the puppet just murdered people for no reason.

So the puppets were good and trying to save everyone?
It tells u what they say eventually
At first i thought that km order to understand the puppet language all i had to do was keep telling the truth so i become a puppet instead of a human 😂
Why was "Carlo" on the train at the beginning of game? Also who created Romeo as puppet? I thought he was a human?
Gepetto changed Romeo into a puppet because he had the same disease as Carlo. However he didn't die like Carlo did (that's why Gepetto wants us to do all this to bring Carlo back)
How were the puppets trying to protect humans? When the puppet frenzy shows them killing them??
Once Geppeto ordered the Puppet Frenzy chaos broke out, but soon after Romeo intervened and gave new orders to protect humans and destroy the carcasses. The initial losses were unavoidable.
The only robots that can actually talk are the bosses
Not entirely true. There’s on on the way to the cathedral who speaks
How do change color of hair? I just could make it long or short...
(I already beat the nameless puppet and beat the game....)
a lot of lying
I have a question. Why does the puppets kill most of the humans?
Most of Krat is infected
Probably because humans were near unstable Ergo 24/7 (because it's the main source of energy), become instable and starting to develop the illness (caused by the Ergo itself). We can think almost every citizen of the city was infected, and the puppets, trying to eradicate this illness, killed all the people infected they can reach...
easter egg is the necklace!!
oh wait someone already got it
When I read all puppet messages it really fucked me up. The puppets were our friends all along. You can also see this when you have a puppet chasing you and you run into a carcass enemy. They'll immediately focus each other.
Wait so why did the puppets attack us then or did we attack them first canonically
Soooo why then are they killing people lol ?
still pissed about the golden lie weapon. i got to the rise of p ending in my first playthrough and missed the weapon before starting a ng+. :(
It's a pretty terrible weapon (even at max strength) considering how hard it is to get and how it gets nerfed at the beginning of each playthrough
So I guess I'm the only dumbass in the world who still doesn't know why Papa G started the Frenzy. Everyone says it was to give P ergo, n that makes sense but goddamn. But where tf was that dialogue? N I sure as fuck ain't saying "conjecture", your subs all went crazy n started cryin when I asked about Nameless.
Ok but if the puppets really were trying to save people why did they kill everybody? 😂
Don't try to tell me they were all infected with petrification disease cause in the streets of Krat you see tons of bodies with regular red blood all around them.
could be self defense. we dont know the puppets acted on their own. we know that when a human did die, they used the covenant to bind them. we also know ergo does some crazy things. I don;t think its as black and white as the puppet just murdered people for no reason.
