- Oliver's favorite time of day is when he gets his treat boxes! This is a game we play where we take an empty cereal box or pasta box and put a treat inside for him to find. Watch as Oliver rips open the boxes to locate the treats inside!

and just in time when all around us seems to be falling to bits Oliver comes along to save the day with his simple take on life
breakfast lunch and dinner a nap or 2 treats when he needs them and lots of hugs and snuggles

It’s great how dogs establish activities they come to not only expect, but eagerly anticipate. My half beagle, half pittie started a routine with me that has gone on for over 5 years. I’m hot natured so I wear long gym shorts when lounging in the evening. I was standing by a table in the kitchen/dining area that contained his snacks. He took his nose and hooked it under my gym shorts leg and pulled upward to get my attention and then tried to get at his snacks. I got the picture. I started getting his snacks and he ran to his bed and waited eagerly. When I got there he started trying to shake hands as fast as he could as I always asked him to do this before giving him a snack. He still gets as excited today as he did over 5 years ago. Dogs are such loving creatures who love us unconditionally and I can’t believe we were able to adopt this wonderful dog. 3 previous families had brought him back to the shelter but we kept him. Their loss, our gain.

The treat boxes were cute, but the best was Oliver playing with his ball and rolling in the leaves. He certainly doesn't need anybody to keep him entertained, as he does it well by himself.
Everything about Oliver is cuteness overload but his floppy big ears and sparkly brown eyes melt my heart. What a LOVE!!

😂😂❤❤ I could watch him for hours! Yesterday we met a beagle that was grey, of course white and very light beige. I thought this was a very special combination. I talked with his owner and asked about it. He used to be like Oliver, but he was 13 and had turned light grey. But he was busy and healthy.
There's something very special about a senior beagle who has lived a long and happy life! They have a lot of dignity to them.

Oliver is so glad and happy to have the very best family, always so lovely caring for him - and he also likes treats very much, of course. Observing the boxes, thinking, what might be the best and then opening his favorite one very quickly shows, what he likes the most - directly after his family - treats. Feel better soon, Valerie! I had walking pneumonia once and it wasn't fun--especially since I had to go to the doctor three times before it was diagnosed properly (they kept assuming it was just allergies or something, because I didn't have a fever). I hope the antibiotics will do the trick for you soon.

Thats so adorable how Oliver takes his treat boxes back to his bed - and no need to get a new one, it looks perfectly comfy as it is.
My only worry as a fellow dog person is the plastic in the cereal bag. Knowing my boy, I would be very worried about him swallowing some of the plastic. Paper and carton are fine; but clear plastic always has me worried.

Agreed. Just last night we had to pull part of a plastic cloths-hanger from the jowls of a little French Bulldog.
