      I think it’s probably because all the charges are misdemeanors and they (understandably)just wanted to skip additional drama and paperwork for essentially what most likely be any charges.

    That second story, that lady cop was SO patient with her from the start, spoke to her in a calm tone, and chickie STILL acted stupid. THIS is why I do not drink! I am not against alcohol, friends can do it all they want, but I personally feel there are other ways to enjoy yourself, or cope with things if that is the case as well.

    As someone who worked at a hotel, if a guest was brought back to the building by police and in that condition, I would cancel his key card and not let him in. Insane they were going to drop that problem off on the hotel staff.

      lol, that’s what I was thinking. I work at a bar and the amount of people with PI (public intoxication) who made contact with cops and then dropped off to their home to terrorize other businesses are too damn high!
      Take them to jail, let them safely sober up in a holding cell. Don’t make them other people’s problems.

    As someone who works at a hotel, I would have been so mad if they dropped someone that drunk back off at the hotel because 99.9% of the time when they are that bad, I end up having to call the police to have them removed. (First story when they tried to take him back to the Hampton).

    When his friend said to police "Yo take his ass to jail," I felt that in my bones. His friend stood quietly and whenever he could get a word in edgewise tried to help his friend with advice and a ride. The police gave him dozens of chances too and was in the process of taking him to jail while he was whining and cursing-- even his friend was like I give up he needs a life lesson.🤷🏾‍♀️

      That's what i said, and by watching these, it's obvious why this country is going down the toilet. When no one is held accountable, when they believe there are no consequences for their actions, and they were raised on tik tok and taught this level of entitlement. Now "defund the police" and don't allow them to do their job. We see how this works out... ask teachers why no one wants to do those jobs anymore. How many videos are there of road blocking adult toddlers demanding we "stop oil"?
      I've had enough, i want things back to how they were. Functional. Normal. Productive.

You break a rule and cooperate, 9 times out of 10 you are walking away with a warning or a ticket. You seem the type to refuse to offer your ID after being caught going 50+ over the speed limit as a “traveler.”

      What most people don't understand is that a field sobriety test is the police conducting an investigation, and you as the suspect by law, are under NO obligation to cooperate with gathering evidence against you. Also, it's not about passing or failing, don't forget whose the "judge". If he wants you to fail, you fail.
      Having said that, let me say this, take her drunk ass to jail.😂

      The best part is that even if she was right about them not being able to search her car (she's not) it doesn't mean that they have to let her go. It means that when her court date rolls around they can't use what they found in her car as evidence against her.
      Though driving erratically, smelling of alcohol, and having an open container in the driver door cupholder visible for the camera from outside the car wouldn't need a search warrant.

So if we were to assume that the police aren't allowed to search the car without a warrant, they searched it anyway, and found drugs in the car, they wouldn't be allowed to use that as evidence against her in court, should the charge her with possession of the drugs. It was obtained in an illegal search, which is known as Fruit of the Poisonous Tree. It would only help for that particular crime though.
      But whether or not they can search the car does nothing to help her with DUI, having an open container and being underage.

Let's step out of the box for a moment and talk about jurisdiction. I usually wouldn't waste my time with such a long comment but you are clearly intelligent. Let me ask a few questions, the girl by looking at here is she a "corporate person" AKA "person" or a natural person? There are many presumptions being made of the police's authority.

      @@starlightraiWhat I’ve found is that if you’re miserable, alcohol doubles that. When you have the chance to meet their parents, you can see where it comes from. Usually the parents are just as stubborn as the teen that gets arrested, it’s just that they have more money and time to burn in court that people who have to work more don’t have. It just infuriates me that so many seem to come from well off families. And the worst part is that if they just weren’t so rude and actually complied with cops, they could’ve probably gotten away with it and could have caused an accident (or do, I guess in the third video.)

    I'm appalled at the officer's behavior!
    Dude was not only publicly intoxicated, but aggressive as well. Should have been arrested immediately & not be coddled like a baby & offered a ride to a hotel or his home.
    Regardless, the officers did him a kindness he didn't deserve. Too bad he rejected that golden opportunity

      The worst thing is officers can't do right in any situation. The first part showed too much patience but if the officer had just arrested him then people would be mad that they "escalated the situation and could have handled it better".     That first scene, just imagine if you treated people with kindness, even drunk in public. He'd have just gotten a ride home. Instead he antagonized people until they didn't want to deal with him anymore. A lesson in being kind to those around you.
