Hi gaz i was camping tues night more ainsdale way and did the same using just the inner tent which was great. Dont think it rained but top of tent was very wet in middle of the night, soon dryed when sun came up though. Saw my first tick on door of tent so was bit paranoid after that, if you remember i emailed you last year after contacting the forestry poeple about ticks. I was rewarded in the morning with a roe deer standing a few yards behind me watching me and barking loudly.

A neat trick with the Gossamer is that you can attach the fly to the top of the poles, and fix the fly cloth together on top of the tent to keep the bug mesh free for breeze, but if it would rain you still can have the fly over the tent in 5 secs, with very light rain you don't even need to pitch the fly.
I usually keep the gossamer fly attached now , so if its raining the inner doesn't get wet, it's a really good tent the gossamer isn't it , I love it , it's underrated in the camping community I think , solid tents, cheers for the tips mate 👍 atb
@@GazianoOutdoors It's by far the best tent that I've ever used. It can be relied upon in all conditions, except maybe high velocity blizzards and hurricanes. I've had it standing in 2 inch deep puddles when it wouldn't stop raining for 2 weeks, not a drop did it leak. Not too much condense considering it has no vents (I recommend not completely closing the zipper on the fly for some air movement). It wouldn't budge with 65 mph winds blowing onto it's side, and it felt like it wasn't at it's limit yet. And considering weight, packsize and price it adds up to being unbeatable compared to virtually every other tent that was ever made.

Wonderful intro on the beach, lovely! I like the look of your chosen woodland there. It always looks such a great spot you have there. The red chilly will have spiced up the pasta meal a treat. I don't have any kind of bugnet setup except for the backwards bungalow which has a mesh door. Your setup looked perfect for the warm night at this time of year. Another good one, cheers, :) Warren

It was only a quick an easy cheap pasta and sauce meal , surprisingly tasty and filling mate, I've been enjoying using them on my camps lately and take 5 minutes.
@@GazianoOutdoors My go-to-meal when cooking outdoors would be noodles (like Aiki but without flavor bags) and some pesto with cubes of cream cheese, although I sometimes use a can of tomato soup with balls as sauce as well. I only cook outside when it's cold though, I'm a bread guy.

@@GazianoOutdoors its my 4th summer of camping there and not seen any before, doesn't mean there wasn't any though i suppose.
A neat trick with the Gossamer is that you can attach the fly to the top of the poles, and fix the fly cloth together on top of the tent to keep the bug mesh free for breeze, but if it would rain you still can have the fly over the tent in 5 secs, with very light rain you don't even need to pitch the fly.
