Remember if you even THINK you may have hail damage, always call a roofer first, never your insurance company. They will call an inspector out and even if your roof is perfectly fine, that phone call is considered a "claim" and shows up as such whenever you shop for other insurance in the future.
A good way to tell your roof is damaged without actually going up there, is pay attention next time it rains. Put a container under your downspout. If you notice lots of granules (small gravel) in there after the storm, you need new shingles.
