Big ten is doing a great job with the coverage and posting matches online. ✊🏽
They probably make more money for ads
Ikr
Be sure to watch the ads so they can continue doing this. Or at least just play on your phone until the ad is over.
@@rootless4341 hopefully it's worth their while. I prefer this method of delivery. If they could offer their own live stream during matches I can imagine their numbers going through the roof. They'd also be able to add sponsored content in the commentary or around the venue etc.
@@777Skeptic yah I do that whenever I watch wrestling content.
Spencer Lee scores more points than Iowa’s offense for football.
I'm glad Jordan Burroughs' prediction about Hamiti was accurate. Congratulations to him and all the other champions.
What was his prediction?
@Sam Cooper At last year's Big 10 tournament, he said Dean was his favorite non-champion, and he would be on top of the podium soon.
Yeah gotta love that kids attack rate! Incredible!!!
Way to go, SILAS ALLRED!!!
I've been waiting for Silas to really break out in the NCAAs. It was just a matter of time. He's one of the great Indiana wrestlers of the last few years, along with Mason Parris, Nick Lee, Brayton Lee. Silas is as good as it gets. Been watching him since he was in 8th grade.
And by the way, if you go back to the 2017 Fargo highlights of best throws, you'll see Silas doing his thing in a couple of those.
He's had a great year! Fun to watch!
Haines is a badass
4 timer perhaps?
I was so happy to see him win!
I'm impressed..given he's a frosh but weight class is weak & Robb lived up to his name & got robbed.
Peyton Robb is such a class act.
Especially when he got robbed.
@@jomama969 yeah, I was surprised they didn’t give him that takedown in the first. Crazy.
@@noahkail5066 I know it’s easy to criticize from the couch, but I’m doing it anyway lol. Robb should have gotten that takedown. Woods had two swipes. Parris should have won in regulation.
It's like my old wrestling coach used to say, "you gotta beat your opponent, you gotta beat the crowd, and you gotta beat the ref..." ..word..
@@gregorywilson9322 true that
Great matches in the finals, not a disappointing watch for sure. Everyone was fighting their entire matches!!!
when he mentioned that Sebastian Rivera was the only person to beat Spencer Lee and RBY. Thats a major accomplishment to think about. 2 of the greats in College Wrestling.
A fresh RBY and a hurt Spencer Lee yes. (At least I think Spencer was hurt then)
@@xzjayz7925 Spencer went on to win the national title the same year he lost to Rivera and got pinned at the OK State dual. Like Spencer says, "Excuses are for wusses."
@@phillysportphan9844I think Rivera beat him 3 times that year. If I remember correctly Rivera got ridden bad by Mueller in the semis. He couldn't deal with the legs.
That doesn't really mean much. DeSanto defeated Spencer Lee, Nick Suriano, RBY, and Seth Gross--yes, I know he beat Lee in high school. The point is that these guys wrestle each other so much that they're bound to trade wins and losses. The few exceptions are the elite of the elite, which Lee is a part of; RBY is not that. He could finish with three titles, but he was never a dominant wrestler.
@@znhait you forgot to mention that had torn up his knee 2 weeks before facing DeSanto, who he teched the year before.
Christmas and New Year's Day for wrestlers are the Conference tournaments (especially Big 10s) and NCAAs. I love the matches this time of year when the wrestlers are at their sharpest. We see kids transcending themselves and moving to the next level with big upsets and we see others collapsing into a heap of broccoli because the pressure finally gets to them. Love it all, the passion of sport.
Parris wrestling through those terrible stall calls and still getting the win was really impressive. I don’t know why the ref wanted Kerkfliet to win so bad.
Aaron Nagaos riding game is top notch!
He lost bro, and RBY already had the win and didn’t care about nagao on his back.
Nobody with their head on straight wants to spend the entire period on bottom. Clown.
RBY was stalling big time on bottom, he clearly was respecting nagao
@RVONL he wasn’t trying to
Nagao made it a little personal in those last seconds.
Great match though, if RBY gets tired like that again NCAA finals gonna be interesting.
blockhus is incredibly quick with his shots...just needs to finish
Sammy Sasso is hands down the best female wrestler in the NCAA
Ye
Thank you for posting these matches!
Blockhus is definitely one to watch out for at the big show
Thank you B1G Network!
I feel for kervliet, but I woulda been just as disappointed for Parris if he lost. Two great heavyweights
Legend has it, Nagao is still trying to shake RBY's hand.
😂 ✋🏿
that was so funny lol. choking him out and then he's like help me up take my hand lol
Ref makes a stall call on Lee, then Lee responds with a takedown for 2...Lol that's just good stuff right there.
Thank you, Big Ten Network! Once I find my parents credit card, I’m subscribing to your cable network.
You might actually have it my mom certainly doesn’t watch big ten network but whatever package she has it’s on there I was shocked when I saw that I could watch it
🤣
Loved listening to the Iowa broadcast of the whole tournament. Ironside was so jealous of Penn state the whole tournament. 🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha I can imagine 😂 can you find it on UA-cam?
@@antisocialextrovert5062 I 2nd that
Yes Hawkeyes live stream of big ten championship.
Every team is currently jealous of PSU, they’ve been winning so many team and individual NCAA titles lately
Thank you for posting B1G!
Thank you!
The Mighty Ewok gave Spencer Lee his first tough match of the season! Go Huskers!
Not the first. McKee in the Minnesota v Iowa dual was only a 7-1 victory for Lee. And then Lee got revenge for that "close call" with a 20-2 drubbing of McKee in the Big Tens so....
@@MrGuanYu1 Ya, you're right. forgot that one
Also Ramos had Lee dead to rights in the first period the. Took him down before before Lee stormed back
That was considered tough? Lee is just that good
That’s a generous definition of a tough match lol
thank you Big 10!
I am glad Mason Paris finally got the crown. The heavyweights were outpaced by Steveson for a loooong time.
They should have called him for stalling long before they did ..
C'mon, Parris is already so famous, cities and jars have been named after him.
Fantastic tournament. One area where I feel that the hosts made an error: they needed another mat all the way around - especially for the finals. The action was stopped way too many times due to a wrestler touching the hard deck when a takedown could have still happened. The outcomes of some of the matches might have been different.
Dean just got schooled
Dean is a joke he Wrestles like he's in GYM Class 😂😆😅🤣🤔
Glad to see that Jason Nolf seems to have a viable & worthy replacement at 157
Keep it up big 10 congrats to all the champs 💪🏼
The camera operator for the 149lb match forgot they were at work and got caught up in the action 😅
Shout out Shane Sparks for bringing energy to the broadcast.
Exciting tournament! Thank you for sharing this.
I really hope allirez meets woods at the ncaas! I think allirez takes it in a close one.
Good call!
great coverage guys!!
SPENCER LEE FOR #4 MAKE HISTORY GO HAWKS
Sasso wild for that backpack 😂
Blockhus vs Sasso was a great match
that back point exchange in the first period of 141 is criminal. Did the rules for swipes change? Or the way in which we count to the number 2?
Awesome. Thanx BTN
I really hope RBY gets on the US team and represents us on the world stage. I feel he has what it takes to bring it home for us.
I wonder if he will even attempt. Seems like he favors MMA
I don't like his style when he wrestles against top talent. He does just enough to scrape by and then runs. He won't cut it on the world stage. He knows if he is forced to slug it out with the world's best he doesn't stand a chance. Realistically, if Spencer Lee put on 8 pounds, he would make RBY his rag doll.
@@leroywatermelon4025 nah bad take. You obviously don't like RBY. That's a fine opinion to have but an exaggeration you're taking too far lol
@@dinocollins720 It's not an exaggeration. If he is wrestling a bum, he goes all out. If he is wrestling an elite, it's a stall festival. That won't work against Spencer Lee or the world elites. It's a fact. If you don't mix it up on the world level and show how talented you are, you get smoked.
@@leroywatermelon4025 I'm sorry, but your take doesn't make sense. RBY has never lost to Daton Fix who is a world silver medalist. RBY has a higher bonus rate than Fix and has never lost to Fix. It's not a fact. You clearly have a bias.
It just goes to show the B1G is PSU, Iowa, and then everyone else.
Nebraska had one less finalist than PSU though and two more than Iowa
@@michaelbradley7621 the difference is consistency. Iowa and Penn State are always there. Nebraska had a really good tournament, but just couldn't make the opportunities count.
@@sethhachmeister6543 Nah, the first guy is right, Iowa has fewer in the finals than Nebraska. So his point stands, and you're clearly a homer for Iowa 👍🏻
@@lexingtonconcord8751 You Iowa haters are obnoxious. We should give a person a right to like who they like.
@@lexingtonconcord8751 how many team nattys has Nebraska won? It’s Iowa, Penn State, and then everybody else.
They need to update the rules so that figure 4ing a single leg on top is stalling
But that and various parallel rides make up all of PSUs top game though
@@michaelbradley7621 How long have you been crying before making that comment?
Vito is much faster than RBY, proven in the NCAA finals!
Dean Hamiti looked like a high school JV wrestler the way he was dancing around at the beginning of the match, but then he dominated!!
Levi Haines is a starr!! Everyone was talking about no offense facundo and that levi was a big 57 and might have to redshirt next year and figure something out cuz no offense facundo is a star and will have 165 locked for years but naw they were wrong Levi is a stud dude has totally grown on me since January
Facundo is awesome. You are a whiny child
Levi will not be staying at 57 long. Facundo better hope he grows and goes up in weigh, cause Mr.Haines IS going to.
@@farbeyonddriven8173 yea that’s what I keep hearing is that he is gonna move up if he goes 165 he is gonna take facundo spot dude has 0 offense
Thank you for posting these matches 🫶🏼
Nagao was getting flustered at the end of the match vs RBY. He’s good on top and I understand wanting to wrestle to your strengths. But you’re not beating RBY this way as he came to find out lol
Cael is always investing in next year with these great freshmen gets.
Penn State looks AMAZING!
Real woods match had my heart RACINNN. Go HAWKS!!
I think Woods got robbed out of at least 1 near fall. Woods is uncanny get out of that single leg.
Brock Hardy's leg looked like it was going to snap.
@@steventhury8366 I’ve been beyond impressed with Woods this year! I think he will place top 3 at nattys this year..
@@steventhury8366 definitely got robbed of a near fall point however..
@@haydenkoprowski1889 I think Hardy will place high as well. He seems to be getting better each match.
Don't think I've ever seen a headgear quite like the one Nagao has.
that's LDR headgear its designed to better prevent traumatic brain injuries
@@Ragin1njun Yea, it's very practical, I've just never seen one lol
Glad Max Dean didn't win, the way he performs, stalling all the time. I knew he would get upset eventually.
I've never been a fan of wrestlers that seem to prefer to always win a low scoring 1-2 point victory. Live by that and you'll eventually get caught by it.
@@MrGuanYu1 Please drill that into Beau Bartlett"s head!!
They need to do something about people just hanging on to the leg in the Kennedy hamiti final hamiti was so close to like 5 takedown and Kennedy just sat on a ankle
They made me feel bad for Kennedy's family. Both sons lost in the finals... rough weekend
RBY kept his cool when his opponent was acting like a tool at the end.
Hamiti such a dAwg
Two Indiana wrestlers in a row taking first!
Who?
Huh
@@caseykelly4970 Silas Allred and Mason parris are both from indiana

Boy it is very obvious who Brooks modeled his wrestling after. He looked just like Cael in his college days.
Yup, he's the second coming of cael sanderson. Especially the way he finishes his shots. They were also both 184 pounds
hamiti has such a baby face its kind of comical how much of a monster he is on the mat
Is Lee schooling Woods on that tilt game?
He’s schooling everyone
Woods says he's had it since high school
Yes he is the said during the broadcast they are workout partners as Lee has helped him upon his game and it shows this is
Not the Stanford real woods totally different dude
Love seeing max dean lose
Nebraska can chill with the challenges.
LET'S GOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Shocking how Allred beat a national champ twice in a month and doesn’t All American. Even more crazy that Dean got All American status that same tournament.
Great finals
I still can’t believe I met realwoods at a camp my school hosted
No audio?
I have sound.
That’s your problem, everyone else has audio.
@@AWCTB someone else had same issue but its fixed now

Parris looking like a boss cause Gable isn't around.

The first period stall call on Paris was a little weird
hamiti might win a national title but i dont think its this year
I think David Carr winning it this year
@@athletic_joseph1236I think O'Toole has the potential to be champ,
I think he should take a redshirt year. If he redshirted, I think he could be a two-time champion.

Levi f***ing Haines baby
Great coverage of terrific tournament. Wrestlers did well. Refs too except for stalling calls on Mason Paris !
Spencer didn’t seem to happy
Works not done
Kerkvliet needs to stop playing and start utilizing more overtie offense. He was in perfect position to hit Paris with multiple overtie slide bys off his overtie to wrist two on one.
Yes
Haines with the upset isn't surprising
It wasn’t even a real upset tbh, it wasn’t like Robb was some huge name who appeared unbeatable.
I wouldnt call it an upset. But man, what a beautiful finish by him in overtime
A lot of people said they wouldn’t be surprised if he beat him I’m interested to see where they rank him now

@@paulwall5706 the one from Wisconsin u cornball lol
Is lee hurt?
Great wrestling, however i hate this new thing i am seeing more and more. In Hamiti's match Kennedy got beat several times by Hamiti's shot and all he could do was grab and hold on too the ankle! It wastes so much time and just seems so cheesy.....Woods did it too at the end of his match as well as Cronin did it too win yesterday. That just never seemed like a big thing till recently and i see it all over now. What do others think?
It's always been a thing, except people used to dive under the leg instead of dive on top. With the changing of the rules to include danger zone, people can't dive under anymore so it seems like they're doing what you're talking about more often.
It’s always been a thing like the guy above me said but the way kids do it now makes me wish I would’ve done the same I would’ve been a 3x state champ cause nobody would’ve taken me down lol stalemate or pop thru the back every time lol
This technique seemed to really catch on fire with Diakamahaulis doing it all the time. Endless stalemates and time consuming.
Cronin needs to just bully Lee, if he can. Upper body lock him like Marinelli used to do. No way he'll beat Lee in a straight up match, he's got to make it quick and brutal. I think Lee would be shocked if somebody approached him like that. Lee would probably still win, but at least Cronin would have a chance.
I wonder if they are the same glasses i seen her smash at the BOK center when spencer got PINNED...
Hamiti!
He looked solid in this tournament. I was shocked by how dominant he was against Kharchla. He was almost completely in control against Kennedy as well. Hopefully, he keeps this momentum going.
Karcth from Ohio State look like he had a bad wheel I knew Dean was going to do do well in the postseason because he peaked and stepped it up at the end of the year of which I noticed and called out in the comment section several weeks ago biggest mistake was the badger coaching staff allowing Gomez to wrestle and that’s not hindsight I put it in writing two days before he wrestle don’t let him go out there. Save him for when it matters the NCAA big show but kris Bonow’s been making some bonehead calls all year one win in the badger conference doesn’t cut it with five all Americans
@hovertrout1 Hopefully, Bono gets better at developing his wrestlers in the future. It seems like a lot of Wisconsin wrestlers are not progressing like they should. Eric Barnett, Braxton Amos, and Joe Zargo have not progressed in the last year from what I've seen.
Agreed that’s why I see transfers as being his downfall if they depart and coupled with 2 poor seasons in a row…Bono is a motivator that is all and solid recruiter but those are asst coach traits. They need technique and strategy improvers and they seem beyond his capabilities. He preaches effort etc, that only goes do far and is outdone by technique and tact from superior coaches.
P. Robb has been winning close matches all year don’t know how he is ranked #1. Guy is just happy to get an escape and get a minute riding time to win his matches. Finally caught up to him maybe he will actually get some offense going. Mikey labriola has by far the slowest sprawl. Ppl be getting deep on his legs all the time.
Cronin built just like fix
3:36 what a sick crucifix if he could have stuck it!!!! 🫣🫣
Penn State 💪💪
That dude was smelling his fingers after the old oil check
Haines was the revelation of the tournament. The Big Ten will rampage at nationals…again.
Yeah he’s really lucky that Robb somehow didn’t get awarded that takedown…. lol only penn state gets a call like that
@@thestrongestnerd4284 I honestly thought Robb had that takedown. First, he earned that takedown. Second, his feet were clearly in bounds when Haines was on his back. But we can never know what Haines would have done in response. Haines seems like a winner and Big Tens is arguably the toughest tournament in collegiate wrestling. Well, he doesn’t seem like one. He is one. We’ll see what happens at Nats.
OSU is stacked but got whacked mmmmmmm must be the coaching.
No lol, they just don’t have the very best wrestlers like penn state.
@@AWCTB really? your that dumb to not know its all Cael
@@AWCTB a lot of their recruits were better actually
I swear man they are not trusting themselves taking shots. Especially sasso, and I get he’s more of a defensive wrestler but cmon man. And Romero didn’t even look like himself in that match
@@Cavcurlz Romero looked like he was trying to survive a hornet attack. Never once tried his blast double. Gallagher 2 n done, Mendez seeded 2 got 5th. OSU is now the standard for under performing. CHANGE
anybody gonna mention how Haines upset Robb😂 bros nutty
It was a close match but I think he got that takedown first period but great match overall I hope they meet again at NCAA
Haines is the real deal!
Next great PSU wrestler for sure. Legit title contender this year. I was so pumped when Cael pulled his redshirt in the Iowa dual
I don't know what has happened to Ohio St. They seriously can't develop wrestlers. I think Sasso is just as good now as he was his freshmen year. Smith and Romero have improved quite a bit, but they have to face two Penn St. superstars. I'm not even sure what's up with Kharchla. But Hamiti is a better all around wrestler.
Does Sasso have another year due to Covid or is this it?
Why tf is it black screen?
LOL at Nagao choosing to rough up RBY :D
Does anyone know what Lee might walk around at? He can’t be that far above 125. I’d say 131 max from looking at him
132-134 off-season weight
spencer says he doesnt cut so probably
He said 133 on his insta
PSU fan here... did Romero come into this match injured? If not, that was a pretty questionable effort. I know Brooks is a generational talent but not sure he took a shot, let alone all the deliberate stalling including fleeing the mat with less than 20 seconds to go.
Good question. I noticed he looked like he came up lame at the end of his semifinal match.
Or not in game shape
It's all about the National Title 💪PSU💪
The ride out from nagao was absolutely pointless, Roman was letting him because nagao wasn’t going to catch up & it was easier to just let him ride to get the win. & abt the end I’d be petty too when the losing dude is trying to rough you up meaningless at the end.
Just like amine vs brooks last year ... You're not going to win that way
That's petty and a loser mentality for RBY
@@cardsandcomics he shook when he had to. It’d be loser of him not to shake when they’re supposed to.
