Józefów - a city in the province Lublin, in the Biłgoraj poviat, located on the Niepryszka River, the seat of the Józefów urban-rural commune. In the years 1975-1998 the city was administratively to the province. Zamojski.
Józefów lies in the historic Przemyśl region, in the center of Roztocze and the Solska Forest, on the River Niepryszka. The Landscape Park of the Solska Forest adheres to the southern borders of the city, while the border of the Roztocze National Park is about 4 km northwest. There are several small industrial enterprises (food and stonemasonry). The city is also a local commercial and service center for residents of nearby towns.
