Shit this sounds like my ex husband, the father of my grown kids. I felt that he always secretly loved the fact that I struggled for all those years, and now that I finally figured life out for myself and moved away, he cannot even believe it. And yes, he always saw me as a charity case and would talk shit about me. But that's how cycles work, we live and we learn, sometimes your on top of the wheel and sometimes you're at the bottom. It was my “best friend” she couldnt even hide her laughs when I was going through things. I spoke life into her & she tried to leave me struggling so I could beg & I never did. Tried to make me hit her so I could go to jail & lose my job (i work for the govt with kids). Long story short, she’s worse off & I’ve gotten upgraded everything. I’m still humble so I can save & never live that way again but the whole experience was insane. Very much mentally & financially abusive. Over a decade with an abusive narcissist. He used to tear me down successfully and make me think I am not sh$t, but now I know who I am and I’m amazing and powerful so he cannot confuse me who I am or my intuition. He’s very abusive, and cheating and lying. I used to fight back and react and cry and go back into the cycle. I see who I am and I see who he is and I see his motives. I also see every thing he says to me is a projection. He’s broken man and it’s sad but I can’t fix him. 3 kids later and it’s divorce time. I stopped being bothered by him and yes he used to love if I come to him for advice. Now I can’t cause I don’t trust his motives to want what is best for me.
