COVEN is a new legendary skin for Nami that will be released in October 2023. This Legendary LOL skin features a brand new set of visual effects for Nami, as well as a total makeover of her looks.
Coven Nami costs 1820 RP, and can be purchased from the League of Legends store.

The only complain for me is that her face skin should have been the same color as her entire body and I don’t think the va matches the asteroid of coven even with a filter on no offense . Other than that probably one of the best legendaries we had so far
but it is, she is wearing a outfit that covers her whole body including arms from what im seeing
so her face is her skin color

@@cherrymewy I mean she isn’t human , nami is a sea creature she should not have human skin and in my opinion the good nami skins take advantage of her none human characteristics to differentiate her from all the female league champs . And her having human skin with a costume makes her less compelling.
I love nami base design for thé reason that they didn’t go for half fish half human design but instead made her fully fish like with human proportions on her upper body

@@MisterPlague I do :3 , it is a very good skin the particles the affects the design while I have some criticism towards some design choices like I mentioned in my comment those are minor nitpicks , overall her skin is one of the best legendaries ever in my opinion but of course this is my subjective opinion
@@amvbro7033 thats such bullshit tbh, the animations are so poorly done, barely looks any better than her base animations from 11 fucking years ago, ''one of the best legendaries'' thats complete nonsense. much MUCH more work has gone into every single other legendary that has released in the past 3/4 years lmao, nami looks/feels extremely rushed, no idle variants, clunky animations, her model ( especially her tentacles ) it just DOESNT work, comparing this to the legendary that came before ( soraka ) is just sad. if they released this skin 5 years ago, it would be pretty great, for todays standards, its dogshit. theres no going around it, and personal opinions dont apply here when the skinteam clearly didnt give a shit about this skin, the FACTS are that this skin is clearly rushed, and the fact people like you are praising this so much only makes things worse, let them fucking know.
Great review you always do a great job catching the little details that the average player might miss in the middle of a battle, like the little sigils on W. Also outlined some of the flaws most of which aren't deal breakers. Looking forward to the Syndra review still now that she has been delayed LOL

@@BuyOrBye It could be, I'm not expecting anything major in a 2 week period. Ocean Song Seraphine took about that long and all that changed was her hair to some people's dissatisfaction. Firelight Ekko took like 2 months.

i saw somewhere that to guarantee the squidward dance, press Ctrl + 3 three times in quick succession (like you're spamming the emote). i don't own the skin tho so haven't tested it out myself

I never knew she has no other idle animations! And yeah she needs more tentacles or something behind her. Come on Riot, stop slacking. Anyways, I love this review. I was on Team Syndra for the legendary skin, but Nami as a siren is great concept too. Now if only Riot actually put in work for Syndra instead of making the current coven skin for Syndra >_>

coven syndra has such a bad splashart, I hope they'll change it by a lot and make her abilities look good too, I honestly don't see anyone using syndra skins anymore because the vfx look so bad, I have sg syndra and I personally don't like it too much

she screams, LEVIATHAN'S MAW when ulting and many more like that this skin screams power. imo this is the best nami skin, best legendary skin released on 2023 and one of the best legendary skin in game. kind of biased but i tought like this still when i was not even a nami main. i mean the prestige is nice but coven is incompareable

YAY! I really wanted to see this skin in your vids
Great video, as always!! :D When I first saw the skin I said: I want it! But when I digged in a bit more, mostly on reddit & youtube with all the good feeback, I realized she still needs a lot of work. Even after the changes they did, she still doesn't feel legendary enough (personal opinion). When you look at Eve and Morg, their models are beautiful, quite detailed, impactful VFX... yet Nami, even tho is a cool concept, I think it was a bit of a wasted potential. Her bodysuit is quite simple, and I don't like that her face is white and her torso grey. Because of the tentacles, she doesn't have much cool "clothes" or armor. The waist plates are a little... off? Generic I'd say, I dunno. This Coven batch was quite a disappointment, not gonna lie xD I'm not gonna buy it, will maybe wait till it got an offer or smth.
I really hate it when they don't do "transition" animations. The way she snaps in the W and E is just really sad. It's also really bad when faces are just flat and have no animations at all. I don't even want them to fully animate them, just slight things like blinking, like they did with Irelia's new model
Nami's model and rigging is pretty old, so its likely they dont have "slots" for those things on her as she exists currently. I expect if/when they update her underlying rigging she will look better
@@freyaliesel666 As far as I can tell, this skin has a brand new model and skeleton, just like most legendary skins, yet she still has this flat face that ruins the skin for me. It's not even just an outdated model issue, some new champs also suffer from this, the ones I can think of are Xayah and Rakan
Yeah she's got a brand new skeleton (armature) for her legendary skin. They added dozens of new bones for her tentacles, and yet no facial animations or even bones. Quite sad tbh

This skin is really amazing. I would like to see a Nilah Coven review. the combo EQ is litteraly Coven Morgana's q animation and i'm feel the red/pink is too pink, too bright i'm intrigued to know if you think same !

Whoever made this nami skin does not like her at all like wth riot. Viego's skin was S+ tier and then they do something like this.
yeah... it feels like the skin was handled either by an amateur/intern or someone who missed the point of a legendary. They also did not seem to care that nami is a very old champ and tons of people were excited to get that skin. I will pass on this one it looks cheap and does not look like coven at all

I like animations and all, but there's one thing making me hate the whole skin. Three thin tentacles??? She looks so heavy head to hips (long hair, the crown? on her head, big outfit), and then you see the rest of her being so small and thin. It just seems disproportionate af. Base Nami also has this big something on her hips, crown and stuff, but her tail is also pretty thick, and she has that mermaid tin, that makes her look ok
