_Great_ tongue blocking exercise for us (primarily) lip pursers! I've always loved the way tongue-blocking in motion allows little hints of the surrounding notes to sneak in, and while I often use tongue blocked octaves, this gives me a way to expand and improve the _movement_ aspect.

Nice presentation Adam....appears Junior Wells' Hoodoo Man Blues used the same/similar V VI, I transition lick that John Lee Williamson played on his 'Elevator Woman' (1943) off the album Bring Another Half Pint. Williamson's 'Hoodoo Hoodoo' used a different transition. Enjoy your work and have done for quite a few years Adam, thank you.

Happy belated birthday, Adam. How's it feel to 32 for the 30th time? At least that's how I like to say my age. Thanks for the videos and sharing your knowledge and passion for the harmonica. I live in Washington state and work in an essential industry so I'm not staying at home. My stress of interacting with the public is high right now and you'll never know how much I personally look forward to your lessons. It's a great stress reliever. I've finished the Beginner's Deluxe lessons and now I'm almost done with the Advanced Beginners Special. Working on Mojo 1.0. That's a fun song. I'm trying my hand at Crossroads Blues and I'm getting bar 1 down. Tounge blocking is a bit complicated and if I hadn't ordered your tounge blocking video it'd be out of my skill sets. Thanks again for all you do!

Ronnie Shellist went through the same intro 5 months ago, but adding in the difference between Williamson and Wells is a nice touch!

Good thing I didn't know that when I did this. I would probably have done something else. But I suppose it's inevitable that YT harp guys will occasionally dovetail like that. That synergy suggests that this is indeed an important topic.

The riff you’re playing also reminds me a lot of the intro to A Woman on Every Street by Forest City Joe. I’m pretty sure I read that he was inspired in his playing style by Sonny Boy Williamson so that makes sense.

I heard the same thing about Forest City Joe. He's a great player, and he sounds a lot like John Lee Williamson (Sonny Boy I). ua-cam.com/video/xNxnPGs_d5o/v-deo.html
